Who Did It?

DIS: I don't own CSI

SUM: A 21-year-old man is murdered in his own home. Which member of his family did it?

The CSI team is called to a crime scene in Nevada. A 21-year-old man was found lying dead in his sitting room and there was blood all over the walls and sofa.

As Nick and Sara walked into the crime scene the first thing they both saw was all the blood.

"Looks like we have a blood bath on our hands," says Sara.

"Where is the man's head," asks Nick.

He then sees a sword lying on the floor beside the man as they were photographing the body.

"I have got the family outside except the sister and cousin. They were last seen at the house last week," says Jim Brass as he enters the room.

"Does the rest of the family know where they could be?" asks Nick.

"The mother said that she doesn't know where they are. She is worried sick. It's not like them to go missing. She reported it as soon as they didn't come home," replies Brass.

"We have a murder on our hands. You need to find them. We need to talk to them as soon as possible," says Sara.

"I will ask around to see if anyone knows where they can be," replies Brass as he leaves the crime scene.

"I have found his wallet. His name is Simon Smith. His money is still there so robbery is not the motive," says Sara.

Nick and Sara start processing the crime scene while Brass is away.

"The sister and cousin were in Washington and they were due back tonight. They came back early to find Simon dead. They left after five minutes without shedding a tear. They are not even upset now. I had them took down to the station for questioning," says Brass on his return, "I'm heading down there now. Which one of you wants to come with? Grissom is on his way down here. He wants to be involved in this."

AT THE STATION

"Can you tell me where you both where last night?" asks Brass.

"Tamza Bay Sunshine B+B," they replied simultaneously.

"Isn't that the B+B your parents own Sara?" asks Brass.

"Yeah! You want me to give them a call and check out their story?" replies Sara.

"Thanks. Could you do that for me now please," says Brass.

"No problem," replies Sara.

Sara and Brass then leave the interrogation room and Sara makes her way to Brass's office to phone her mom. She dials the number and waits on the phone being answered.

"Hey mom. How are you? Can I ask a favour?"

"I'm fine honey. I'm glad you called. It's been a while since we've spoke. What's the favour?"

"Sorry mom, can't talk long this is business. Can you tell me if Hannah Smith or James Scott stayed there last night?"

"Hold on a sec, I'll just check. No hun, no one of that name stayed here. Sorry."

"Thanks mom that helps a lot. I've gotta go. I'll call you soon."

"Bye hun, I love you," Sara's mom replies as she hears the click of Sara hanging up.

Brass enters his office when he notices that Sara is finished on the phone.

"You get anything from your parents," he asks her.

"Nah, just a lot of guilt for not calling as often as I should. They lied to you Jim, their story fell through."

"Thanks Sara," replies Brass.

IN THE INTERROGATION ROOM (timescale: as Sara is on the phone in Brass's office"

"Do you think that we should tell them the truth?" James, obviously nervous, asks Hannah.

"No, we can't. We'll end up in jail if they find out that we did it and we will lose all chance of losing Brad. That bitch will take him away now that Simon is dead," replies Hannah. "What will we tell them then?" asks James.

"That we stayed in a B+B in Nevada called the Blackburn B+B. Keep going over that in you tiny little head so you don't forget while I try to figure out how to get rid of that bitch Claire so we can have Brad," replies Hannah.
