Catherine leaned up against her Denali, her eyes shut and let her mind wander. She had just blown up the lab and lost her cool with Robert Covallo. She could hear herself in her head, there's 24 hours in the day and I'm pulling 16 for the county, spending three pretending to sleep and the other five lying to my daughter that everything's going to be all right... What do you want to hear? I screwed up. I'm sorry.

Grissom pushed the glass doors open and saw Catherine resting against her car. He remembered his conversation earlier after Catherine's meeting with Covallo. "Grissom. We're not done here. I've heard rumors that you've been kicking back Willows' reports." "One report. The Jenkins case. She made a miscalculation. I've asked her to reissue the report." "Great. Well, while you're at it, maybe she can reissue the lab explosion" He was fumed quietly for the duration of the rest of the meeting. And when he had left the office she was gone. But he knew where to find her.

She felt his presence and opened her eyes. Meeting his across the crowded parking lot. She watched as he made his way across the lot. He opened his arms and she fell into his loving embrace.
