The age of which is too old to cry
Is never really specified.
If an elderly man shed a tear
Only because of sadness or fear
Children would chuckle at this sight
When really it is quite alright
And think of the time your mum cried
When her mother grew old and died.
Did you turn your head and ignore
Because she was weak and sore.
But why are adults turned in shame
And not aloud to cry, lame?
When a child begins to wail
Every head will spin, dogs will wag their tails.
People will run to see what's wrong
And they will sit, watch for long.
The children wills sniffle, yet be alright
And hold on to their parents had, tight.
So why is it so different for the old
To cry and let the world fold?
But I guess that's just the way things are
And no one has done anything about it....
So far....
