Outside When It's Raining
Harry had thought he would be the only one outside. It was raining and he had figured everyone would be inside enjoying the warmth, whereas he would be out in the rain having time to think in the quietness.
But there she was, coming from practically nowhere, running out into the center of the field. Her dirty blonde hair was flying loose behind her, an oddly shaped object was dangling from her ears, and her cheeks were bright red from running probably all the way down from the Ravenclaw common room. She didn't even have a sweater on, and her shoe-laces were untied and it made him wonder how long it took her to get dressed that day.
Doesn't she know it's raining? Doesn't she know she could get sick?
He walked forward, closer to were she was, and called out to her, cupping his hands around his mouth. "Luna!"
She had been hunched over a few minutes, trying to catch her breath as raindrops fell, catching themselves in her hair, which now looked very messy and tangled and wet.
He tried again. "L-"
His voice caught in his throat as she finally straightened herself up.
He had expected her to turn to him and respond to her name being called,
but she was lost in her own world of dancing in the rain and bottle cap
necklaces and oddly shaped earrings.. and for a moment he wished he was
there too.
She looked peaceful, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth, as
she threw her head back and outstretched her arms to the sky as she swayed
in slow circles, dancing gently to the silence.
"No wonder they think she's loony," he said to himself.
He secretly thought she looked beautiful though, regardless of what he said, as he watched her figure twirling around in the rain. And he felt the strong urge to run up to her and kiss her senseless, let her see just how much she meant to him....
And suddenly, her eyes became wide as they met his a few yards away. She looked surprised, nervous almost. Her face filled with so much more wonder than usual.
They stood in their spots for a moment, staring at each other intently. And just as she had started to open her mouth, he turned around and ran away.

A/N: This is too much like 'Encounter in the Corridor', I think, to
be any good. Another 'See Luna. See Harry run away' story. Forgive me.
I needed something to stop my writer's block.
Note to self: Be more original and creative
Well, I think this was pretty rushed. I wanted to.. Wait. Does anybody even read the author's note? *Shrug* Whatever.
Anyway... Review. Please. Thanks. Flames, like always, are... well, I wouldn't mind them too much.
