A week had past and Sonic could only think of so many reasons why Amy
wasn't answering her phone, Maria had called her every day only to get the
answering machine, and even he called once or twice, he had gone down to
her apartment to find she was gone to. Sonic paced around, and Tails came
in, "I did it! I found a way for Maria to recover in a month! It's simple I
hacked into the hospital and it turns out they extend the time so they can
get more money but they don't teach the things right a way so the patient
isn't really recovering until the third year where they actually start
giving you the real treatment." Sonic grinned, "Good to hear. So have you
been able to contact her?" Sonic shook his head, he walked into another
room, Shadow was sitting next to Maria teaching her how to play Monopoly,
the TV was flickering softly, Maria looked up at Sonic, "Hey Sonic is Amy
okay?" "Yea, you should get to bed, Tails is going to help you walk again
tomorrow." Maria smiled, "Okay!" She wheeled out of the room and they heard
her go into her little bed that Sonic and Shadow had constructed, Sonic
jumped and sat beside Shadow, who looked at him, "Sonic she isn't stupid
she'll find out something's wrong." "Until then we have to let her believe
we know everything we cant let her get upset, Amy would kill us." "I could
kill her, she hasn't been around all week!" Suddenly the TV flashed red,
Sonic eyed it, "Look a public announcement better turn it off mute, it
probably is Eggman." The scene went to police cars and helicopters all
around the museum. Sonic looked at the picture, "No Eggman not important."
The TV hummed, "Two of the Greatest Masterminds have been captured stealing
the Chaos Emerald, we now go to Chuck." "Thank you Sally we see here the
two convicts, Rouge the Bat-" Shadow smirked, "Figures." "And her
accomplice Amy Rose the pink hedgehog."
Sonic sat there shock and anger written all over his face, Shadow looked over at Sonic not sure whether to comfort him, or shrug. Tails who had walked in blinked a couple of times. Tails asked, "Maria looks up to you and Shadow what harm will it do to Maria?" "She says she wants to be just like Amy. Also because they are so close they are like this." Sonic put a magnet together, and Tails nodded, "How much do you think it will cost?" Shadow sighed, "A lot more then I, you or the Faker could provide. Since they have attempted to steal a Chaos Emerald, they have stolen many valuables, and not to mention precious artifacts." "Maybe we could sneak Amy and Rouge out of jail?" Tails suggested and Sonic looked at him questionably, "Never mind, I have been watching way to many movies." Sonic nodded, and felt sick, 'How could Amy do something that stupid and why?'
Amy grumbled Rouge's bad temper had rubbed off of her, 'How dare they actually think this will hold me! How dare they actually think that they will punish me? They are all idiots everything deserves to be mine and only mine. I want the money, the jewels and the glamour, no one else. And all I have to do is wait for Rouge to give me the signal and we both will be out.' She paced around, she looked over at Rouge who was doing her nails, "Hey Bat Girl what are you doing?" Amy snarled, "I'm waiting, you should be to Thorn." "Shut it." "Mad you were caught?" "ME! It was you bitch! You had to do your stupid routine." Maria woke up, she felt two tears slide down her face, she climbed into a wheel chair, and wheeled outside quietly closing the door behind her, she watched the sun rise, and two more tears fell, 'Where are you Amy I miss you...'
Sirens were wailing, and men were scrambling everywhere they couldn't find Rouge or Amy. They were in pandemonium, and Rouge and Amy watched the sight from a mountain top, smirking, "Like they could keep us in there right Amy?" "Hell ya," Amy said, "So what's the deal of the century?" "Our contractor will be here soon to pick us up all we have to do is wait."
Maria fooled around with her locket, it shone in the morning light, 'Amy and Crystal and I made it together using some of that mineral stuff, and the pretty rocks, two pink and one white. Amy shut up she knew Rouge would kill her, soon she heard a helicopter and it came down and a guy in a over coat came signaling to Rouge who nodded, "Let's go Aim's." Amy silently followed hating this guy even more and more as she went on the helicopter, Rouge sat down comfortably and smiled at the guy, he took off his coat revealing himself to be a robot.

"Because I created a new type of gas, making the adversary-" "What's adversary mean?" "Your enemy now as I was saying this new gas enables me-" "What does enable mean?" "I am able to make my adversary fall into a deep sleep." "Isn't that like sleeping gas?" "NO!" "Then what is it?" Maria asked, 'Shadow, Sonic, Amy someone please help me!' Soon there was a blue blur, "Sonic!" she shouted joyfully, "Not quite you remember Metal Sonic?" Maria nodded, "DO you want to see him again?" Maria shook her head violently. Maria hit him with a rock he flinched but didn't let go, she got another rock and put it in the middle he tried to get it out, then he dropped her down trying to get the rock out, he activated his blast but nothing came, he tried again then he stomped hard on the ground causing the vibrations from his feet go to his stomach and the rock popped out unfortunately so did the beam it headed towards Maria, she screamed, "HELP!" she fell off the cliff, she knew she couldn't swim or land on her feet, she yelled out again, she was about to hit the water when she felt a hand grab her by the wrist then she looked up, 'No! No! No!' she squirmed, "Leggo!" "Stop saying that I'll drop you and I know you cant swim so you'd drown and die." Maria gulped, and shut up, she stayed still and Eggman dropped her on the ground, and blasted her wheel chair, it went into flame, Metal Sonic picked Maria up and ran off, Eggman folloing him.

Sonic looked and his eyes widened, Tail's body was decapitated, his arms were on either side of him and his head was rolling around he saw the circuitry, Sonic looked out even more and saw something, "What's that behind the fake Tails?" Shadow stiffened, "Oh god." Shadow and Sonic ran over to see Maria's destroyed wheel chair, Shadow picked up the small pieces of what where left, "Maria no, not again..." Sonic looked at the Fake Tails and growled, "We can probably use the frequency to track Eggman down." Shadow nodded, "Or to save us time faker, we can just follow those footprints of your counterpart." Sonic nodded, "That works to."
