Author's Note: This is my first Zelda fic. It's A Malon/Link. I hope

*Fairy Boy*
Link was on his way to the Temple of Time. He needed to turn into an adult because he had to enter the Water Temple. On his way he put on the Mask of Truth. He had read several of the stones that were scattered across Hyrule. They usually had a riddle or some useful information. He hadn't read the ones in front of the temple so he might as well now.
'Malon wishes to be swept off her feet by a knight in shining armor,'
'What does that mean? All the knights at the castle are ~old~ She couldn't like one of them, could she? EW!' Link thought. (Remember he's still young)
With that thought he entered the temple. After pulling out the Master Sword there was a blinding flash. Standing in front of the pedestal was adult Link.
All thoughts were pushed aside as his horse, Epona, drifted through his mind.
*Lon Lon Ranch*
By the time Link had reached Lon Lon Ranch it was nighttime. All of the horses were in the barn for the night.
Link turned around to leave when he heard singing. It was strangely familiar.
'Epona's song?' he thought.
He walked closer to the sound. Upon closer inspection he found that it was a young girl around his age. Suddenly the singing stopped.
"Oh, hello!" the girl exclaimed.
"Hi...." Link trailed off.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"Link," he answered.
"Really? It can't be..." she whispered.
"What?" Link asked surprised.
"Nothing at all. Oops! How rude of me, I'm Malon," she told him.
"Malon?" he asked.
"Yeah, why?" she asked.
"I used to know a Malon," Link answered.
"Fairy boy?" Malon asked.
"Yeah," Link blushed.
"How have you been?" Malon asked.
"Good, you?" he asked.
"Okay," she replied.
"That's good," he said.
"So, how are you and Zelda?" she asked.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"Weren't you and Zelda a couple?" she questioned.
"No," he answered.
"Everyone thought so," she told him.
"She liked me, but I had a crush on someone else," he explained.
"Oh, who?" Malon asked.
"Well...you see...um...you," Link mumbled.
"Really? Me too!" she exclaimed.
"You liked me?" he asked.
"Yeah," Malon blushed.
"Do you still?" he questioned.
"Maybe," she said smiling.
"Then I guess I have to do something about that," he said.
With that he swooped down and kissed her. After they parted they both smiled at each other.
He didn't know if this was love, but he was sure that that's where it was headed.
