Meeting the Menace

A The Chrysanthemum Chronicles Series Story

Sailor Scout Garden In The Crystal Palace

Moon City, Moon Kingdom, Moon

October 13, 986

A little more than a week later, Serenity and all her companions were suddenly whisked away from Ozotov IV just as they each had all been brought to it earlier. They'd all just finished watching Prince Murumu get crowned as Muramiskayo's rightful King not more than an hour or two before. And they'd all just barely had enough time to say their farewells just before they began to feel themselves being whisked away from Ozotov IV just as they each had been brought to it earlier. They left nothing of theirs behind on Ozotov IV that they'd come to it with. For they had no reason to do that, if they'd not abandoned, lost, or destroyed any of their things while they'd been there for quite some time. They wished their new friends well, just before they were whisked away. And they each hoped that they'd be able to somehow return to Ozotov IV at least once more in the future. But, of course, they all knew that might not be possible. They'd not likely ever forget being on Ozotov IV, if they could avoid it. But only time would ever tell if they'd ever be able to do that in the future.

Serenity, Serena, Destiny, Bethany, and Hannah received at least one crystal apiece, soon after meeting up with Murumu for the first time. If not more than one, by the way. Each crystal they received was either the original crystal in question, for that matter. Or an exact copy of it, whenever their situations wouldn't allow them to leave Ozotov IV with the original crystal or crystals currently in question. And when they did, that meant that the powers and items that'd earlier been at their disposal, through that crystal or those crystals, during the recently-ended battle, would still remain at their disposal. At least every so often in the future, quite naturally enough. If not all the time in it afterward, in fact. Serenity and her three daughters each left with eight crystals apiece, then. And Hannah left with one. They all received those crystals only about ten or so minutes before they all were whisked away from Ozotov IV, most likely never to return in their own lifetimes to it. Or at least not for a very long time, anyway. That was if they somehow managed to survive long enough to return to it someday yet in the future, of course.

When they were whisked away from there just as they'd each originally been brought there some time before, Sylvia and Rolando went with them. Or Sylvia and Rolando were whisked away not long after Darien and his Moon Kingdom friends were whisked away from there, instead. Both of them were soon deposited on the Crystal Palace's grounds in Moon City, back on the Moon. When they both got their bearings well enough there, both soon saw Darien and his friends within twenty or so yards of them in that palace's Sailor Scout Garden.

Sylvia asked, as soon as she located Serenity well enough there, "Queen Serenity, where are we all now?"

Serenity said, "Princess Sylvia of Israel, and Prince Rolando of Scotland, you're now on the Crystal Palace's grounds in Moon City on the Moon. Specifically in the Sailor Scout Garden on those very grounds."

"I see. I thought I'd actually be sent right back to Earth when I left Ozotov IV," stated Sylvia, who was still rather surprised by what'd just happened to her and her companions here, of course.

"Evidently God meant that you should first stop off on the Moon first, before you go back to Earth. And it appears that's also actually the case for Rolando, Sylvia."

"How long may we stay with you, then, Queen Serenity?"

"As long as you like. For you're obviously both friends of Darien now. And any friend of Darien's most likely a friend of the Moon Kingdom."

"We don't have chambers here yet. So where are we going to stay, if we stay with you for a while?"

"We'll find you both some chambers to use whenever you're here on the Moon. And I'm sure that we can do the same thing for the siblings of either of you, if need be."

Sylvia said, "I think I'll need to rest soon, Queen Serenity. Please have your three girls bring me some place where I can do so. I'd like to talk a bit with them first, though. If that's all right with you, of course."

"Serena, are you willing?" asked Serenity.

"I suppose."

"Destiny?"

"You bet."

"Bethany?"

"Ditto."

"All right, girls. Then please show Sylvia to some place where she can rest for a while, if that's what she really wants to do. Be back here by Earthrise, please. For we have a ball to go too, if Prince Raphael hasn't cancelled tonight's ball and fireworks show already, girls."

"Understood." Then Serena left with her twin sisters and Sylvia to do as Serenity had just told her to do. She was quite closely followed as she did so by her twin sisters and Sylvia.

"Darien, can you take care of all of Rolando's current needs and wants in the meantime?"

"No problem, Serenity. It'll be my pleasure."

"Then I'll see you all later. Raye, Amy, Lita, Mina, please start spreading the word that we're back in town. Luna and Artemis, please go find my husband and my brother, if you possibly can. I have to go to one of my prayer closets for at least a little while. And then I need to go visit one of our vaults here in the Crystal Palace. I need to get at least one or two things from it. I won't say what they are, or at least not in front of Rolando here, if at all."

Then Darien and Rolando left Serenity's presence. Followed not too long afterward by Raye, Amy, Lita, and Mina. Before Luna and Artemis left Serenity, Serenity briefly wrote two very short notes on nearby blank pieces of parchment. Then she rolled them up, before placing collars on both Luna and Artemis, and sticking the pieces of parchment between them and their collars. That was so that they'd not lose the notes while they brought them to the necessary people elsewhere on the Crystal Palace's grounds. Luna then left to find Daniel, after Serenity told her who to find. She did so seconds before Artemis went to find Raphael. That soon left Serenity alone again in the Sailor Scout Garden for a little while. She waited about five minutes after Artemis had left her. Then she went to one of her prayer closets for at least a little while, if not a long while.

Queen Serenity then spent at least an hour there, if not even longer than that, praying to God, and conversing with Him, to the best of her ability. She did that for quite some time, by the way, before actually leaving that prayer closet again. That was so that she could do whatever else she felt she had to do later on before she saw her husband or her brother again, at the very least.

She went to the same exact vault from which she'd gotten two crystals for Destiny and Bethany to use at least on a temporary basis, if not on a permanent basis. Serenity soon retrieved at least three things from it. Those things were at least a tiara, a power locket, and a crystal, if nothing else as well. In fact, she even retrieved a shield, a sword, and a scabbard from there as well. All of which were quite suitably sized for Rolando. At least as of the current time, anyway. This shield that she retrieved was currently undecorated. But he'd be able to decorate it as he saw fit, of course, once she'd presented it to him. The sword had the words "Sailor Writing Explorer's Sword" etched in solid gold on its blade, in somewhat small English text. The scabbard that sword was now in here had on it the words, which were all etched in small letters of solid gold, "Security Is Not Easily Found." Also in English, of course. After she got all of the aforementioned items out of the necessary vault, and had placed them all in the sack now on her belt, she backed out of that vault. And she closed it up again just as soon as she could, for that matter. Serenity soon left the room in which that vault was now in. And she secured it again, before she totally left its area in the Crystal Palace, quite well enough.

Then she went to find out if Luna and Artemis had found either her husband or her brother, if not both. She was soon rewarded with a positive reply from Luna, who told her, "Daniel's in the Chrysalis Garden, Niti. He's not yet told Raphael that you're back on the Moon again. Artemis told me that Prince Raphael's in his chambers. And that he has the 'Do Not Disturb' sign hanging on his door right now. It seems he's in private conversation with a few of his female friends at the moment, from what Artemis told me not more than a few minutes ago."

"I see. Thank you, Luna. I suppose I better go to Daniel before too much longer, then. I think I'd also better take this stuff to the Sailor Scout Garden, Luna, so that it'll be there when it's needed. Do you think that you can stand guard over this stuff while I'm away from it?"

"This stuff is all for Sylvia and Rolando, if I may ask you this here, Niti?"

"Yes. Can you guard it until I return to the Sailor Scout Garden later on?"

"I wasn't planning on going back there again for a little while, Niti. But I suppose I could still do so, my friend. It'll just mean that I'll not be resting a great deal for at least a little while longer, though."

"Understood. I'd appreciate it very much if you'd do as I'm asking you to do for me here."

"Say no more, Niti. I'll do it to the best of my ability, for at least as long as I need to do so. And as long as I'm not relieved before you return to the Sailor Scout Garden to take care of those things as you see fit."

Then Luna and Serenity went briefly to the Sailor Scout Garden. After which Serenity soon had Luna begin standing guard over all the things she'd asked Luna to watch over for at least a little while. That done, Serenity then went to find her husband. As Luna guarded all the necessary things as she then needed to here, Serenity spent much, if not most or all, of that very time alone with Daniel in the Chrysalis Garden. After which, they both soon went back to her main Crystal Palace chambers. And they soon bolted the needed door or doors of them quite securely, after first hanging a "Do Not Disturb" sign on their door or doors. They did these things so that while they were catching back up with each other after so much time away from each other, they'd hopefully not be disturbed by anyone. No matter who it was, if they didn't absolutely have to be disturbed at all, they both still did these things here, while hoping that they'd not be bothered for at least a little while, of course.

I suppose that I'd better stop here now. For this will be where the next part of the story will take up from, in fact, readers. I hope that you have so far enjoyed the story, if you've gotten this far, and that you'll all continue to read it. I don't know yet just how long it'll take me to get each story in this series up fully here. But it might take a while for each story in this series, just the same. Until later, then, this is "The Universal Storyteller" signing off here. Happy reading, and God bless, and all that, of course, readers! Over and out!
