CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO: THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY
Friday morning started with the now routine of Vicky opening her door to Jack's knock.
"Breakfast?"
"Lunch."
"What?" Jack cocked his head a little and looked confused.
"Where."
"Up, "he smiled, catching on to her game.
"Down," as they turned to walked to the commissary.
Daniel heard them as they approached the table, "eggs," "bacon," "green," "red".
"Umm, hi."
"Low," they chorused. Then they grinned at each other and began to eat. When Sam and Teal'c sat down Jack said, "Carter."
"Smart." To which Carter looked at Daniel with a surprised look. "Don't ask."
"Teal'c."
"Strong." Teal'c bowed at Vicky and sat and also began to eat.
Jack looked at Vicky for a moment before saying, "Daniel."
"Cute."
Daniel's head whipped up and he blushed a deep read and Sam snickered.
Vicky looked at Sam and said, "oh, like you haven't ogled his ass from time to time/"
"Daniel is like a brother to me."
"Yeah, right, swear the you, Major Samantha Carter have never ogled Daniel's ass."
Carter turned beet red and turned all of her attention to her plate.
"Sam?"
"Oh, and don't get that attitude, Rock-Bay, like you have NEVER noticed Sam's ass."
It was Daniel's turn to consider his food. If either had looked up they would have seen Teal's grinning broadly.
"What about my ass?"
Vicky patted his arm and said, "yes, honey, you have a very cute ass, and I'm sure Sam has ogled it plenty of times." Sam got redder and hunched further over her plate. "As I KNOW that you check out her ass at EVERY opportunity." It was Jack's turn to turn to his plate.
And what of my anatomy, VictoriaO'Neill?"
"Teal'c you have a truly fine ass. Every woman, wherever you go admires it. I have seen women on base walk into doors checking it out."
"Thank you, VictoriaO'Neill." And he bowed at her.
Jack looked at her with a truly shocked face. "What? If any woman didn't check him out, she is either gay or dead. Have you been to the gym when he's there? Half of the women on the base rearrange their schedules so that they can watch him work out. And the other half does it to watch Daniel. The head nurse takes bids from nurses who want to be there when he is in the infirmary."
"What is this, Official Pick On Daniel Day?"
Jack grinned at him, "as a matter of fact it is. Didn't you get the memo?"
"We should post a notice," Vicky piped in.
"Carter?"
"On it, Sir," she smirked at Daniel.
//OHMYGOD, I just had to go and open my mouth. It was bad enough when I just had Jack to contend with, I don't think I can survive him and Vicky\\

Vicky and Jack were in Alex's office for there Joint session right after breakfast.
"OK, Jack, in our briefing with General Hammond after this session, I'm going to clear all of SG-1 for gate travel. I think it also might be time for Vicky to be able to move off base. However, I am not comfortable yet allowing her to live on her own yet."
"No problem, Alex, she'll move in with me."
"Um, Jack, I really don't think that's a good idea."
"No, Vicky, I think it's the perfect solution. Jack, you realize that she should have her own room, don't you?"
"Hey, no problem. I just move out of the master bedroom into the guest room, so that she can have her own bathroom."
"Jack, I really don't want to put out."
"Nonsense, I have plenty of room."
"Jack, I do think Vicky has a point about keeping your own, it would make her feel like less of an intrusion."
"OK, if that's what you want. You can some home with me tonight and tomorrow we can go shopping so that you can pick out your own sheets and stuff."
"Well, tomorrow Karen, Sam, and I are going to a Day Spa in the morning. It's in a mall and we were going to do some clothes shopping for me. I could call you when we're shopping and tell you what store we are in and you could meet me there so that we could take care of that and give me a ride home.
//good this is working out easier than I thought it would. Once they're under the same roof their sexual chemistry will take over. Oh my God! I'm channeling my Jewish Grandmother! I wonder if there's a Yentas Anonymous? If there isn't, there should be\\
"Don't you think, Alex?"
//shit\\ "It's what you think that's important." //nice save, Alex. No, wait a minute Jack is smirking, he didn't fall for it\\
//who is he kidding; I get the same look when Carter or Daniel start babbling. HE totally tuned out\\

Later in the briefing room they had all gather to hear what Colonel Schmidt would say about their being able to resume their duties.
"Report, Doctor."
"Well, General, I think it would be safe to have SG-1 return to their Norman duties."
The were many relieve faces around the table, including Hammond's. A bored O'Neill was driving everyone, including him crazy." "Teal'c and Daniel will not have to continue with any sessions as they are fairly well adjusted. However I insist that both of the O'Neill's as well and Major Carter will have to continue therapy sessions for some time."
"Hey, how come I have to and Daniel doesn't?"
"Because you're crazier than me, Sam." Daniel was still pissed the "Pick On Daniel Day" notices that kept reappearing as fast as he could tare them down, not to mention the "how many Archeologist does it take" jokes. He had never noticed the number of women in the gym when he was there, either, until today. It made him self-conscious as hell.
Sam gave him a pretty good "if looks could kill". Jack grumbled but he knew he couldn't get out of it. And, truth be told, and he sure as HELL wouldn't EVER tell anyone, he was actually finding therapy with Alex helpful. He was nothing like that quack, Mackenzie.
"Vicky is also moving into the guest room at Jack's house. I feel it's time she move off base, though she shouldn't live alone for a while."
"Just think of as Jack's half-way house," Jack grinned at them.
//that is SUCH a scary thought\\ Popped into Hammond's, Sam's and Daniel's heads simultaneously.
"I can pick you up at the Colonel's house in the morning," Sam said to Vicky."
Daniel and George looked at Sam quizzically when Jack answered their unspoken question, "going to a Day Spa with George's Daughter. You know massages, nails done, all that."
"That sounds like a nice relaxing day, good, all of them need that." George beamed at his niece.
"See, Jack, Sam is actually going to leave the base, take time off and even pamper herself."
"About damn time, too. I keep telling her to do that more often.."
"Pete is even coming up from Denver the following and I am taking a three day week-end."
"Now, Carter, we wouldn't want to have you get carried away. Who knows, you might even become a slacker, like me."
"Everyone except Teal's and Alex laughed, like THAT was ever going to happen. Alex didn't get the joke and Teal's did have a big smile.

That Jack stopped at Vicky's on base quarters to collect her and her things to his house. When they signed out for the weekend the SF said, "Have a good weekend, Colonel, Mrs. Um...Captain O'Neill."
Jack grinned at him and said, "does that make me Mr. Captain O'Neill?"
When the SF turned red Vicky smacked Jack on the arm and said, "Leave the boy alone, Jack. You have a nice weekend, airman, I hope you don't have to work the whole weekend."
"No, Ma'm, thank you, Ma'm."
"Night, airman," Jack grinned at him as Vicky pulled him away.
"Night, Sir.

At Jack's house, now their house, at least for a while, Jack put Vicky's things in her room. He showed her where the bathroom was before giving her the "Grand Tour". Vicky particularly liked the deck and roof where Jack had his telescope. Back in the living room she picked the picture with Sara and Charlie.
"So this is your son, he looks like a great kid. I wish I could have met him. Tell me about him.'
Jack's jaw clenched and he took the picture form her and stared at it. Just when Vicky thought he wasn't going to talk about the boy his face softened and he said, "he was a great kid."
Jack went to the kitchen and got them both beers and came back in and set them on the coffee table and went over to the bookcase and got out a picture album. He sat down beside Vicky, opened the album and started to show her the pictures. He started telling her about Charlie, how he felt the first time he held him, both so excited and so scared that he wouldn't be a good father. He told her all about the things that they did together and what Charlie liked to eat, everything about him.
//they look so happy together. I can tell that he really loved Charlie. He loved Sara, too. Damn I feel like such a bitch to feel jealous of what they had together. I have to be realistic, we wouldn't have stayed together if I had been on Earth. We just got together because of the mission. I see he's not going to talk about Charlie's death yet. That's OK, I feel like he's given me a gift by charing Charlie with me\\
Vicky hooked her arm around Jack's and said, "Thank you for sharing this with me. It means so much to me."
Jack unhooked his arm and put it around Vicky's shoulders and kissed her forehead, "thank you, it's nice to just talk about what a great kid he is. Most of the time all I think about is the pain of loosing him. It's an injustice to him not to remember the good things. So, how about we order pizza for dinner?"
She smiled at him, "and why do I think you have them on speed dial?"
"I should have never taught you about the damn telephone."
Vicky snickered, "well Chang or Carter would have if you didn't."
"That's true, I didn't have a chance." He walked to the phone, "Jack O'Neill here. Yeah, I'll take the usual. Twenty minutes? Great."
