CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX: GIRLS JUST WANT TO KICK ASS
Monday afternoon Sam was finishing compiling her information for Vicky, Jack was taking a turn with Chang before she was taken for her operation, Daniel was surfing the Internet to try to find any link with other attacks and any of the more additions to the SGC. Vicky and Teal'c headed toward the gym. They stopped outside to speak with two armed SF's who had snapped to attention. "As you were, gentlemen, did General Hammond give your orders?"
"M'am, yes, M'am. We are to stand guard outside and no male personnel, including the General and Colonel O'Neill, can enter the gym for any reason, unless you are Teal'c requests assistance."
//ummm...I wonder if Jack would let me have my own Marine? What the hell am I thinking, I should get my own Marine and stop thinking about Jack. I would get court marshaled, but if I could have BOTH of them...\\ neither of you will go anywhere, for any reason, unless you are relieved by another SF. You will also not come inside the gym unless one of us summons you, is that clear?"
"M'am, yes, M'am!"
One of them held the door and shouted, "Captain on the deck!" As one the women snapped to attention and saluted. Vicky and Teal's went to the front of the group, Teal'c standing at parade rest and Vicky returning the salute and saying, "As you were."
Vicky waited at parade rest while the women settled back on the floor before she continued, "for those of you who are not aware, I am Navy Captain Victoria McPherson O'Neill. This is Teal'c. I'm sure that most of you are aware of why you are here, so to those I will now state the obvious. Yesterday Tech SGT Lisa Chang was attacked topside here at the mountain. I want to assure all of you that she will be fine. She has now stabilized enough that they are operating on her even as we speak.
"Before we start with the training there are some things that I want you to think about. First of all everything that goes on here today, whether spoken or by action, is one hundred percent confidential. No one here will be up on charges if, during this training, any of you should strike me. It has come to my attention that, though not reported, this was not the first attack here at the base. None of you are to blame for being attacked. However anyone who was attacked and did NOT report it is in part responsible for the attacks that happened after hers."
There was quite a lot of murmuring and she gave them a minute to settle back down.
"I graduated from Annapolis thirty years ago. If you think that the military is a man's world now, you should have seen it then. Now they have a so-called "Zero Tolerance" policy, then they had a one hundred percent tolerance. I know that being the first one to speak up is hard, but if one other person had spoken up, I know that most of the others would come forward. I want you all to think about what I had said.
"Now to the training. All of you have been through extensive hand-to-hand combat training. Most of the instructors are male. As you can with Teal'c who gloriously demonstrates, men are built differently than women. This is not a bad thing."
Teal'c smiled and gave a slight bow as women applauded, whistled, and a few called comments like, "Ya Baby" "Woohoo!" "Show us just HOW different you are!"
"Because the instructors are male they are, therefore, built like men. As such, they train you to fight like them. This actually puts you at a disadvantage. We will teach you how to use the differences to use to your advantage. Sexual Predators are also going to attack differently than another soldier would. Will also teach you differently moves that may help.
"Teal'c is an extreme case of a male opponent, and quite frankly, most of us would be shit out of luck. If, however, we can learn anything that would help us in any way against HIM, it would give us a real advantage out there. I doubt very much that any attacker would be any where near his size. Rapists are cowards and have feelings of inadequacies. Men Teal'c's size have no need to feel inadequate, and are usually very gentle."
She turned side ways to the class and said, "Teal'c, I want to grab me from behind and I will try and get away."
//Baby, you can grab ME from behind and I won't try to get away\\ thought most of the women.
Teal'c grabbed her wrapping both of his arms around her chest area. Vicky bent her head forward and snapped it back, catching him of the jaw. He staggered just a little but retained his grip. She then bent at the waist, bringing her legs over her head. She locked her feet behind his head and used them as leverage to squeeze her thighs around his neck. Just when she thought it wasn't going to work he fell to his knees releasing her and gasped for breath.

"Are you alright?"
"A most effective method, VictoriaO'Neill."
"So, Ladies, you see even with someone as large as Teal'c you can gain the upper hand."
They spent the next couple of hours training and giving each other ideas to help fend off attackers

After the training and having dismissed the SF's, Vicky and Teal'c were walking in the general direction of the locker room, "well, the first half of phase one is complete."
Teal'c looked at her and raised an eyebrow, he could figure out what the second half was, "what does "Phase Two" consist of, VictoriaO'Neill?"
"I have a good idea who the bad guy is so I'm going to set myself up as a target and when he comes after me I'm going to kick his ass...repeatedly."
His face went into a slow smile. This was justice that he could understand. "If you require my assistance with "Phase Two", VictoriaO'Neill, I will be happy to oblige."
"I'll be sure and let you know. I have to talk to Sam about something, why don't you go grab a shower first? Once all of those women get in there it probably won't be clear for days."
He gave her his usual bow and they headed their separate ways.

Vicky got to her lab just as Sam was finishing printing the two versions of the information she found.
"How did the training go?"
"Very well, actually. I told Teal'c to get to the shower first or he wouldn't get in there for days." Carter smiled at her agreeing. "So, what did you find out?"
"It's looks like you were right. At every base there were attacks, both on base and on the economy. None were reported on the base and very few on the economy. Because the civilian ones were in different jurisdictions, no one put them together."
"Great work, this doesn't give us any evidence but a great place to start. Did you eat any lunch?"
Sam blushed and looked at the folders, "Jack was right about you overworking. Go get something to eat and that's an order. I'm going to get clean, then check on Lisa and probably join you."

Vicky went through the door to the infirmary and saw Gunny looking over at Chang's bed where Jack was sitting in a chair brushing his hand through her hair and talking to her softly even though she was asleep.
"Hey, Gunny, how are you?"
He looked over at her, "M'am, Lisa was right about the Colonel."
"Right about what?"
"She said the he was "Sweet", her words not mine."
Vicky giggled, "Jack is very sweet, gentle, not to mention loving, just don't become his enemy or he'll kill you with his bare hands and never think twice about it."
He smiled back, "a well rounded individual."
Vicky came up and stood beside Jack, "Hey, how's she doing?"
Jack smiled up at her and wrapped an arm around her waist and leaned against her, "the Doc said that she came through the operation with flying colors. She should be out of here in a week or less."
"That's wonderful. Come on let's go outside, Michael is here and wants to spend some time with her." He got up and took her hand and they stopped to take to the Gunny, "Michael, go sit with her just make sure you let a nurse know if she wakes up."
"Sure thing, M'am. I would have been here sooner, but I don't know what happened, I fell asleep and just woke up."
Jack looked at him seriously and said, "Well, stress will hit you like that sometimes. You drive yourself and it gets to the point where you body just has to shut down for a while. Don't worry about it, someone was here with her all the time."
When they were out in the hallway Vicky snickered, "Damn, Jack, you should have been an actor. You did that with such a straight face."
They were out for a few minutes and Ferretti can up, "hey, Jack, how's it going?"
"Hey, Ferretti, have you my wife, Vicky, yet?"
He looked a little green, "umm..."
Vicky piped up, "not formally, but we've seen each other around." She stuck her hand out for him to shake, "nice to finally meet you."
"You, too, M'am." //oh yeah, I owe her big time\\
"Jack, Carter's in the commissary because she didn't lunch, why don't you go and get something while I go and see Alex for a couple of minutes?"
"Are you OK?"
"Yes, I just want to talk to him about anyone who comes to him to talk."
"You're sure?"
She rolled her eyes, "yes, I'm sure. Go have cake, have Jell-o."
He brightened, "cake and Jell-o?" and he turned and left.
After he was out of earshot Ferretti said, "I owe you big time."
"Don't' worry about it. I was gone for a long time, besides I had already picked up on how they felt."
"Doesn't it bother you to have him spend time with her?"
"A little bit, but not really. They've cared about each other a long time and haven't done anything about it. My showing up isn't about to drive them into each other's arms. I'm not in a position to demand anything from him. I don't even know for sure if I want to stay married to him. Sam's a nice person and smart as all get out. If they do end up together I'll just put her picture on a dart board and deal with it"
Ferretti snickered and Vicky said, "Michael is in with Lisa, give him five more minutes and run him off to eat. He can come back if the Doctor gives his approval, but I want you to stay because he will be concentrating on Lisa and I want someone to be alert as a guard."
"You can count on me."
"Oh, I know I can because otherwise Jack hears about our first meeting."

Vicky took the version of Sam's information that had no identifying information to Alex. She sat there while he read through the file.
"Oh yeah, that's our guy, who is he?"
She then handed him the one with his identity. Damn, talk about the fox guarding the chickens."
"No shit. The problem is that right now we have no proof. I have a plan to set up a well guarded decoy because I think the only way we are going to catch him is in the act."
"Unfortunately, I think you're right. Who's going to be the bait?"
"I wouldn't endanger anyone else, I'll do it."
"Jack is not going to like it."
"That's why he won't be told until it's to late. Teal'c will stick to me like glue. Don't worry, I'm covered. Would you want to piss Teal'c off?"
"Not if you paid me."

Vicky stopped by the SF command post and stood in front of Major Thomas Martin who saluted as usual. Vicky returned the salute but did not tell him to be at ease.
"Major, its one hell of a piss poor job that you're doing here, don't you think?"
You could see he was seething but he replied, "M'am, yes, M'am!"
"Well, you had damn well improve things around here NOW or I will personally bring you up on charges of dereliction of duty"
"M'am, yes, M'am."
Vicky turned and left with out even formally dismissing him.
