CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO: MARINE LISA TO THE RESCUE
They came out of hyperspace near the planet where SG-1 was located. Cloaked, they scanned the area. Right away they spotted the Go'ould Mothership. Just to be sure they the team members were not on the planet they did a through scan. Finding nothing except evidence of a battle they scanned the ship.
They found them in the holding cell area of the ship. Since even Asguard transporter technology could not penetrate the ship's shields they had to formulate a plan to get on board.

Teal'c was the first on to hear the Jaffa coming towards the cell. "O'Neill."
Jack turned his head and heard it, too. //oh joy, can't wait to see what the snake has in store for us\\
The cell door opened and the First Prime, flanked by two Jaffa on either side, enter. He eyed the humans distastefully and then spotted Teal'c, "Sho'va."
Teal'c didn't even flinch. What was meant to be an insult was actually a compliment to him.
"You will now be brought before your God."
Jack shook his head and said, "No, that's where you're wrong. No God, just a snake in the belly."
"Indeed, you serve a false God. Join me and free yourselves."
The First Prime turned on his heel, "Bring them."
As they were led along the hallway Daniel said, "Snake in the belly?"
"It was all I could come up with, I must be off my game. T, did you recognize the First Prime's emblem?"
"I did not, O'Neill. He must be a minor Go'ould."
They were shoved into the familiar "Throne Room". The Go'ould rose from the dais and looked them over. "So, you are the famous SG-1 of the Tau'ri. Bow before your God."
Jack looked like he had just swallowed some medicine and said, "No, I don't think so. Speaking of famous, who are you?"
"I am Norpret."
"Sorry, never heard of you, you Danny?"
"No, must be someone very minor league."
"You will pay for your insolence." He held up the ribbon device and aimed it at Daniel, who fell to his knees. He shook his head and got back up.
"Have you ever noticed how the Go'ould like the word insolence, a lot?"
"Can't say as I have, though now that you mention it, they do seem to use it often."
"It's like it's the only three syllable word that they know so they're going to use it every chance they get."
"Insolence," and again he held up the device.
"See what you mean. Now if you're done screwing around Norbert."
"Norpret."
"Yeah, whatever. Do ya wanna just tell us what you want?"
"You will tell me the codes to get through the Cha'apa'a."
"That is so not going to happen."
"You will be the first to be tortured then."
"Good let's get this over with."
Carter reached out and touched his sleeve, "Sir."
He gave her a little smile, "It'll be alright, Carter. Nothing I haven't done before." That didn't make her feel any better at all.

They were still trying to come up with a plan when Chang said, "Ma'am, look here."
Vicky and the others went over to the window and saw a transport leaving the ship for the surface. Vicky and Ferretti got big smiles on their faces. "OK, here's the plan, we beam down on to the ship once it has landed, knock out the Jaffa that will be left onboard and then get them one at a time as they come back. Chang you and Sims will stay here..."
"Ma'am, I can..."
"Here me out, Lisa, I need you to cause communication interference from the planet. If at all possible make it look natural. Then I want you to try to find the frequency of the Go'ould shields. Once you have that frequency you can disrupt them. Then, if we need to get out of there in a hurry we can beam out."
Lisa straightened up and said, "Yes, Ma'am." Their lives could depend on her she would do what asked.
~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~
Jack was dragged back into the cell and dumped on the floor. Even before the Jaffa were out the door Teal'c and Sam were checking him out. Jack opened his eyes, "T, Carter."
"Sir, how are you?"
"Just peachy, Carter. How the hell do you think I am?"
"Sorry, Sir."
"You do not seem to be seriously injured, O'Neill."
"Coulda fooled me, T."
Just then the door opened and a hooded figure entered the cell. He stopped a few feet inside and slid his hood back revealing his face."
"Dad!" Sam practically threw herself at him.
"Sam. How are you, Jack?"
"Oh, you know, same old, same, old."
Jacob took out a healing device and ran it over Jack. "Jack, I'm only healing the major damage. They will get suspicious if all of the bruises are gone."
"I appreciate this, Jacob. Now do you want to tell me what you are doing here?"
"I'm afraid I can't do that."
Jack grimaced and said, "No, of course you can't."
~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~
When the transport had been on the ground for about ten minutes they beamed aboard, surprising the single Jaffa. They used a Zat on him, taped him up with duct, Ferretti's favorite method of confining someone, and put him in the cargo area. Lisa and Sims did an excellent job with the interference and as the remaining Jaffa could not communicate they returned to the Teltak one by one to be Zatted by a Marine just inside the door. It really was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Vicky had Ferretti say a few words in Go'ould to be recorded so that could be used as a fake transmission. Since her voice was obviously female she couldn't use hers or she would have just bluffed her way on board The Mothership.
When they were on board they quickly worked their was to the holding cells only to find them empty. "Damn," Vicky said. "It's never easy is it?"
Ferretti grinned at her, not when SG-1 is involved, it isn't?"
"At least I know where they will be."
They had worked their way to the "Throne Room" and popped around the corner Zatting the guards. The Marines would rather have used their guns but those were to noisy. In this case discretion was the better part of valor.
They went into the audience room to see the members of SG-1 and an older man that they didn't recognize on their knees in the center of the room.
"Hey, Snake-Boy, I'll give you this one chance to surrender."
Jack grinned and turned around recognizing Vicky's voice. "Took you long enough."
"Little problem with the Gate. Couldn't establish a wormhole."
"The Gate must have been buried, Sir."
"So, who'd the snake?"
"Norbert."
"Norbert?"
"Norpret," Daniel corrected automatically.
"Enough! You will all bow before your God."
"You're not my God," Ferretti said. "Marvel is my God."
Everyone turned and looked at his, "Marvel?"
"You know the God of comic books."
"Good one Ferretti."
The Go'ould raised his hand with the ribbon device and Vicky said, "Oh, look, I one, too." She raised her hand and they sent out the beams at the same time. Vicky, however was thoroughly and completely pissed and her anger channeled it's self through the device and she quickly overwhelmed the Go'ould."
She and Jack walked over and looked down on the dead Go'ould, "Extra crispy."
"Just how I like my snake. Honey, why don't you set charges so that we can blow this sucker up."
"Oh, goody." She grabbed Gunny, Ferretti and Carter so that they could set the charges.
"Oh, Goody?" Daniel peered at Jack over his glasses.
"The little woman does like to blow things up."
"Jack, I'm going to tell Vicky that you called her "The Little Woman"."
Jack smiled at him. //this can't be good\\ Danny did you know the new Doc thinks that all modern health problems are derived from the consumption of to much caffeine?"
Daniel paled, "but I can drink coffee at home."
"Yes, but not on base...ever."
Daniel mumbled something. "What was that, Daniel?"
"I said, I guess Vicky doesn't have to hear about it."
"Thought you'd see it my way."
Jacob had overheard the whole conversion, "Little Woman?"
Jack looked at him seriously for a moment, trying to decide what to tell Jacob. "Vicky is my wife, Jacob."
"Wife?"
"Long story and I don't think we have time for that now."
"Oh, but we WILL discuss it later."
"Sure, Jacob, sure."
Teal'c had at the same time being talking to the First Prime and the other Jaffa, "As you can see he was a false God. Gods cannot be killed. You must free yourselves. WE are going to destroy this ship. Take your people and leave and start new lives for yourselves."
They looked at each other and turned and left, heading for the docking bay.
As Vicky was setting the last of her charges Chang contacted her on the radio, "Ma'am, e found the frequency for the shields and have disabled them."
"Good job. We'll meet up and I'll signal you when to transport us out of here. One more thing, there will be ships leaving, don't shoot at them unless they fire on you first then just take them out."
"Are you sure that's wise Ma'am?"
"Not really, but the Jaffa have a right to decide to be free."
"Yes, Ma'am."
~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~
They met back at the audience room and the Captain signaled, "Beam us up Scotty." Lisa giggled and did just that.
When they arrived on the transport Teal'c moved to the controls and Vicky turned when she heard a familiar voice, "It is good to see you again, Victoria."
Vicky eyes Jacob, "Selmak?"
"It is I."
"Umm...nice host? Different look though."
"Thank you, Victoria."
"You know Dad?"
Vicky looked at Sam, "Selmak is your Dad?"
"Well not Selmak."
Jacob walked up to her and stuck out his hand, "Jacob Carter, nice to meet you."
Jack looked at him, "And you couldn't tell me that you knew my wife?"
"I knew her from Selmak's memories only as Victoria. And you want to explain the part about her being your wife?"
So Jacob was filled in about Vicky and Vicky was filled in about how Sam's father became a To'kra. By that time they had arrived at the planet where they would use the Stargate to get back home. They turned the transport back to the waiting Asguard with a usual quip from Jack, "So, do we get our deposit back?" The others snickered as the obvious confusion of the alien.
~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~X~
The chevrons began to encode and Siler made the usual announcement, "Unscheduled off world activation."
The General came rushing out of his office and asked, "Are you receiving any ID?"
"Coming through now, Sir. Sir, it's SG-1!"
"Thank God. Open the iris, Sergeant."
When the iris opened the more or less intact members of SG-1, 3, Vicky, Gunny, Chang, in addition to Jacob Carter came through and the wormhole disengaged. By that time Hammond had made it down the stairs to greet them. "Colonel, good to see you back."
"Good to be back, Sir, permission to..."
"Permission granted."
Jack had his arm around Vicky as they walked out the door. Jacon turned to George, "So, George what do you think of that?"
"Well, Jacob, seeing as Vicky is my niece, I think that it's just fine."
"Your niece?"
"My sister's girl. Look, I know that Sam and Jack care for each other but I really think that Vicky and Jack are really good for each other. Besides, didn't you know that Sam is seeing someone?"
"Oh, really? No, she didn't se fit to inform me. I guess I'll just to have a little chat with her, won't I?"
George slapped him on the back, "Come on, I'll walk you to the infirmary."
They came out of hyperspace near the planet where SG-1 was located. Cloaked, they scanned the area. Right away they spotted the Go'ould Mothership.
