Katie Skipped up happily to the common room that night.
*It's about time he asked her out * she thought to herself. She walked into the common room. Chelsea was doing her homework like she said so she went over to join her
"You two make such a cute couple." Katie said smiling getting out her books
"Shut up!" Chelsea said helping her
"Well its true!" Katie said opening her book and taking out a piece of parchment. She started to write.
"He's so cute" Chelsea said doing her dreams paper
"Just hope he's just as sweet as cute," Katie said still writing
"Yea, but he seems so. I mean he took me out to the lake then asked me to go to Hogsmade" Chelsea said
"Yea, just watch out, I wouldn't trust him all that much" Katie said again not looking up from her parchment
"How would you know!?" Chelsea said her temper rising
"Know what?" Katie said lifting her head
"How can you tell me not to trust matt?" Chelsea said in anger
"I cant I..." Katie said. She put down her pen
"YOU DON'T TRUST ANYONE ANYMORE SO JUST LET ME TRUST WHO I WANT TO TRUST OK!" Chelsea yelled.
"I didn't say not to trust Matt, or I didn't mean it that way, Look after the relationship I had with Jake I don't trust anyone anymore! Just don't blame things on me when you trust him with all your heart then he turns out to be a bastard!" Katie yelled. She was on the verge of tears and got up and walked out of the common room. Leaving her work there
Chelsea thought back, Jake was Katie's ex-boyfriend from last year. No one really knew what happened between him and her, but it seemed very bad. Katie never trusted anyone again. In fact Katie had never gotten close to anyone since then. Chelsea laid her head down on the table.
*Damn, what the hell did I do that for * she yelled inside her thoughts. Lily and Cheri entered the common room and walked over to Chelsea
"What happened?" Cheri asked
"Why?" Chelsea asked
"Cause we just saw Katie" Lily said
"She told me not to trust matt fully, so I yelled at her, and she kind of brought up the subject of Jake and told me that's why she cant trust anyone." Chelsea said mentally killing herself
"Oh" Cheri said remembering last year when Katie had gone into a stage of deep depression.
"Yea. I wonder how long it will be before she talks to me again," Chelsea said
"Well it's not your fault" Cheri said
"Yea it is, I should have never yelled at her about trust, She knows all about trusting people. Probably more than any of us, I just wish I knew what happened between her and Jake that she can't let go of," Chelsea said
"Yea me too" Cheri said
"Lets go to bed we'll talk with Katie in the morning" Lily said. The three headed up the stairs and went to sleep.
Next morning
James awoke uneasy, he was exhausted. He rolled over and opened his bed curtains. Sirius was still asleep. James got up and went in to take a shower. When he got out and got dressed he shook Sirius awake
"Sirius get up!" James said
"Go away!" Sirius said
"Sirius you have to get up!" James said
"No" Sirius said, James thought for a minute
"Maybe you can get kitty to go out with you today?" James said
"Fine I'll get up" Sirius said rising to his feet. He went in and took a shower then got dressed. James stood in front of the mirror with a comb. He tried to straiten his hair
"Why do I even bother?" he said to himself
"Lets go eat" Sirius said. They walked down into the common room. Cheri, Lily and Chelsea were sitting on the couch
"Where were you last night?" Chelsea asked
"No where special" James said
"Where Remus?" Lily asked
"No where special" Sirius answered. Lily rolled her eyes
"Where's Katie?" James asked
"Now that's a good question," Cheri said looking over at Chelsea
"What happened?" Sirius asked
"Well I kind of blew up on her about her telling me not to trust matt fully and she kind of told me that she couldn't trust people cause of Jake and walked out" Chelsea said
"We haven't seen her since then" Cheri said
"Damn, You have to think before you yell at her about trust!" Sirius said
"I know I know" Chelsea said
"Look I have to go meet up with Mike I'll see you guys later" Cheri said heading for the door
"Who's Mike?" Sirius asked
"My boyfriend" Cheri said Sirius looked at James who was looking strait back at him.
"So, how long has she been dating mike?" Sirius asked
"Since last night" Chelsea said
"Oh cool" Sirius said
"Speaking of last night, did you do you charms homework Chelsea?" Lily asked
"Yea why?" Chelsea said
"Can I use it" Lily asked
"Sure it in my bag" Chelsea said
"I think we should be looking for Katie instead of doing homework" Sirius said
"Since when have you cared so much?" Lily asked
"Since Katie is one of my best friends and I care about her" Sirius said
"Good reason" James said
"I thought so," Sirius said
"Plus no one know what happened between her and Jake so no one knows what she is doing right now," Sirius said
"Good point" James said
"I thought so," Sirius said
"Then lets go" James said, him and Sirius headed for the door, they stepped out into the common room and spilt up. James went left and Sirius went right
"KATIE!" Sirius yelled down the hall there was no answer. He spotted a first year girl and ran up to her
"Hey you!" He yelled at her, nearly scaring her to death. She turned around and seeing who it was blushed deeply.
"Have you seen and girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, about 5'6?" he asked her.
"Nno" She stuttered
"Ok thanks, just tell me if you do ok?" He asked
"Sssure Mr. Bblack" She said
"Call me Sirius," He said
"Okk Sirius" she said Sirius ran past her and turned around the corner. The little girl stood there stunned.
James wasn't having much luck either. He must have ran down 10 halls and saw no sign of her. Suddenly Sirius remembered something. Something Katie had said a long time ago
*I usually go up to the tower when I need to think * her voice said in his mind. He dashed for the stairs. He ran all the way up to the north tower and looked around.
Katie was sitting in the corner of the room crying. Catching his breath he walked over and sat down next to her.
"There you are" Sirius said
"Go away Sirius" Katie said
"Kat what's wrong?" Sirius asked
"Nothing" Katie said
"You wouldn't be crying for nothing. Is this about Jake?" Sirius asked. Kat stayed silent and shook her head yes.
"What did he do to you?" Sirius asked Katie stayed silent
"Katie come on, tell me" Sirius said Sirius put his arm around her and she leaned against him
"Did he hurt you?" Sirius asked. Katie shook her head no
"Did he rape you or something?" Sirius asked. Katie stayed silent and sat still silently she shook her head
