"Did he rape you or something?" Sirius asked. Katie stayed silent and sat still, silently she shook her head no
"He tried" Katie whispered.
"What?" Sirius asked
"He tried to rape me but I got away" Katie said now crying more than before. Sirius held tight to her. She felt safe in his arms. Sirius is probably the only guy she trusted.
"It's going to be ok" Sirius said trying to comfort her.
"Please don't tell anybody," Katie said
"I wont, you have my word," Sirius said
"Thanks Sirius," Katie said.
"I think we should get back to the common room, everyone is worried about you" Sirius said he helped her up and they walked back to the common room. Before they entered she turned to him
"How do I look?" She asked
"You look beautiful," Sirius said
"Thanks, but I mean do I look like I've been crying all day?" She asked
"You're a little red but you look fine," he said wiping a tear from her eye.
"Thanks," she said smiling. They walked into the common room. James was pacing around the room.
"Katie!" James yelled he ran up to her and gave her a big hug.
"Nice to see you too James," she said hugging him back and laughing
"I was worried about you," He said letting go of her.
"I'm fine," she said Sirius stayed silent and looked his eyes to the floor
"Don't scare us like that," James said
"I didn't mean to scare you I just needed to think," She said
"It's ok," James said
"Look I'm tired I didn't get any sleep last night," Katie said. She walked up to her room and went to sleep.
"What about classes?" James said
"I think she deserves to miss them today," Sirius said
"What happened?" James asked
"Nothing," Sirius replied
"Did she tell you anything?" James asked
"No" Sirius said simply. He was used to telling James everything. It felt weird lying to him. The two walked over to a couch and sat down.
"We should go check on Remus" James said
"Yea ok" Sirius said. The two got up and walked to the hospital wing. They walked over to Remus's bedside
"Hey Remus how's it going?" Sirius asked
"Same as usual," Remus said
"Sounds good," James said
"Yea I guess," Remus said
"Mr. Lupin needs his sleep," the nurse said
"Ok Remus I'll see you later," Sirius said
"Yea see ya," Remus said
"Bye" James said they walked out of the hospital and walked to class. They had missed a class but were right on time for the next one. They seated themselves in the usual spots. After classes Remus was waiting for them in the common room
"Hey Remus," James said walking in
"Hey guys," Remus said
"Dude we need to plan a prank," Sirius said
"Yea," James said. The three walked to a corner of the room and sat down.
"It has to be big!" Sirius said
"Yea but what?" James asked
"I got it!" Remus said. They huddled together
Dinner
"Where are the guys?" Chelsea asked
"I don't know where's Katie?" Lily said. The boys walked I the great room fashionably late. They sat down and took out their wands. All three whispered something at once. All of a sudden the whole room turned black. All the lights went off and no one could see anything
"POTTER WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Lily yelled at him the three whispered something again and the light came on. The whole room was decorated in string and confetti. Remus whispered something and a firework went off that said "welcome back from the Marauders," then James whispered something.
"TAKE COVER!" Sirius yelled as about 1,000 water balloons fell from the ceiling drenching everyone.
"MY OFFICE, NOW!" A very wet and angry Mrs. Mcgonagal yelled at them. The guys turned around and walked out of the great hall. Everyone knew it was them who did it, and a lot of them cheered
"You boys! I will not stand for the pranking again this year! You will be in detention for the next two weeks starting tomarrow! I will see you there at six sharp!" She said sternly motioning for them to leave. They took the hint and walked out of her office trying to control their laughter.
"That was the best!" James said high-fiving both Remus and Sirius. They walked back to the common room where they were greeted by cheers.
"Potter! That was totally out of order!" Lily yelled
"Calm down baby it was just a prank" James said
"Don't call me baby!" Lily said
"Sorry babe" he said grinning. Lily slapped him and stormed up to her room.
"Owww. Sirius lets go" James said
"Ok 3, 2, 1, go!" Sirius yelled the two darted up the girl's staircase only to make it half way up before it turned into a slide. They both slid down the stairs followed by Lily, Who was still on the stairs when it turned into a slide. She fell right on top of James. She looked into his chocolate eyes and found herself frozen. She was lost in her own thoughts
"Umm Lily you can get off me now," James said
"What?" oh yea sorry" Lily said quickly getting up. Her cheeks were bright red. She quickly dashed past James and up the stairs.
"Well that was odd" Sirius said
"Yea" James said
"Well if I didn't see it with my own eyes I would say she was blushing" Remus said
Chelsea and cheri dashed up the staris after Lily
Lily quickly dashed past James and up the stairs. To opened the door to the girl's dormitory and found Katie sitting on her bed.
"What happened to you?" Katie asked noticing that Lily was drenched
"You just missed the guys first prank," Lily said
"Ohh" Katie said half-laughing Chelsea and Cheri walked into the room.
"Look I got to go ill see you later" Katie said getting up and leaving before Chelsea had said a word. Katie walked down the stairs. James, Sirius, and Remus were all still wet but sitting by the fire
"Heard I missed your big prank," Katie said
"Wasn't that big, we will plan another that you wont miss" Sirius said
"Cool, so what did you do?" Katie asked
"Well at first it seemed to be a welcome back thing until the water balloons dropped" Sirius said laughing. Katie laughed a little and sat down.
"We need to find a way up those stairs," Sirius said
"Yea" James said
"Are you there?" Remus asked waving a hand in front of James's face
"Why does she hate me so much?" James asked. The others went silent. Katie looked at James. He looked really sad and lost.
"She doesn't hate you James" Katie said
"Yes she does" James said
"How do you know?" Katie asked
"By the way my cheek hurts" James said. Katie laughed
"So if I slapped you right now would you think I hated you?" Katie said
"No but..." James said
"But nothing she doesn't hate you James" Katie said. James smiled
"I'm going for a walk," Katie said
"Need company?" Sirius asked
"No I just need to think" Katie said
"Well if you're not back by twelve I'll come looking for you," Sirius joked
"Deal" Katie said, she walked out of the common room. She walked for about and hour and decided to head back. She turned around and ran right into Matt.
"Sorry" she said
"Hey Katie" Matt said
"Oh hey Matt" Katie said
"I heard you went missing" matt said
"Yea" Katie said half-laughing
"I missed you in class" Matt said
"Oh really?" Katie said
"Yea we got assigned partners for next week," Matt said
"Whom am I working with?" Katie asked
"Me" Matt said smiling
"Ohh cool" Katie said siling back
"Yea" Matt said.
