Chapter One: Asking Daddy
Governor Swan is sitting in his office working. A maid knocks at the door and enters the room. "Sir, a mister Turner to see you." "Oh yes, send him in. Thank you." The governor replied "Right away sir"
The maid exits the room and goes into the hallway to an anxious looking Will.
"The governor will see you now Mister Turner" "Thank You"
Will walks into the governors office
"Ah. Will my boy (shakes his hand) how good it is to see you again. Please, sit down."
Will sits down
"Thank you, as it is to see you also." Will replied politely "If I may enquire. As what do I owe this visit?" Governor Swan asked "Well, erm, if it is not a to bold a question to ask. I love your daughter very much and I would be honoured if you gave me your blessing to ask Elizabeth for her hand in marriage?" Will asked, anxious at the governor's response.
Swan looks shocked but then breaks into a big smile. Will smiles nervously.
"Well, for starters, you break a man, a pirate even, out of jail. Steal a royal navy ship, stop a pirates hanging and it also turns out that you are indeed a pirate yourself."
Will looks down quite sadly.
"And I really hope that you did all of this for my daughter?"
Will looks up, a smile spreading across his face.
"Yes sir, of course."
"Well, if your going to be my son-in-law, then I do hope you will call me by my name.
Will looks confused "James" Governor Swan said noticing wills confusion. "Of course James. Am I to guess that your answer is yes?" "You are to guess right. I can see it in my daughters eyes when she talks about you that she loves you very much."
Will stands up
"Thank you sir...I mean James." "You have to promise me that you will never hurt my little girl." "I would never think of it sir...James" "Good, now, I have work to be getting on with." "Of course, s-James. Don't let me stop you. Thank you...again."
They shake hands Will runs out of his office will a smile from ear to ear Governor swan smiles and laughs to himself
