A/N: the bit of lyric in the beginning is from Pink's 'Split Personality' from the CD 'Can't Take Me Home'. Hope you like this chapter. Might be slightly over PG-13 because they talk about Erzsebet Bathory. (-- The blood countess.) Nothing much, though.

CHAPTER. 7:

//I do not trust, so I can not love

(can't no man be trusted?)

oh no, no, no

and I would not dare to open up//

L.A: MONDAY;

"So, you talked to her?" agent Weiss asked Jack, as he returned to work.

"Yes. But she wasn't in a mood to talk, really. Someone shot me with a tranq. gun. Someone black haired. But I did get some answers." He told Weiss, as they headed to the briefing room.

There was Dixon, Marshall, and a red haired woman that Jack didn't recognize.

They sat down and Dixon began to talk,

"We have a guest here today. She's from MI-5. She'll be here for a while, to help us find Mr. Sark and Sydney Bristow." He tells them, as the woman stands up and gets ready to start speaking.

RUSSIA:

"Mom? Where are you? I need to talk to you!" Syd yells, as she entered her mother's mansion in Russia.

"MIA. Your mom's not home right now. She'll be home tonight." Andrew told her, as he came walking down one of the stairs that led to the second floor.

For a second he thought she might have been alone. But no, that husband of hers and his sister were with her. He looked at the blonde woman; she seemed to be wearing a way too big sweater. You couldn't see one bit off her arms. And she was quieter than last time. Strange.

"Fine. I'll guess we'll wait. Julia, come with me. We'll find a place to spend the time. Julian, honey, would you find something to eat and then find us?" Syd asked him, as she held lightly onto Julia's upper arm.

~*~

"What are you reading about?" Julian asked her, later in the day as he walked into the room where Syd was using his laptop to surf the web.

"I'm reading about countess Erzsébet báthory. Some say she was who Bram Stoker based Dracula on. But there's no real proof that's true. She was born August 7, 1560 in Transylvania (Czechoslovakia). She has been called the blood countess. People thought she was a werewolf or a vampire, but really she was just suffering from severe mental illness. She might have also suffered from epilepsy." She tells him, smiling slightly at the look on his face.

"Okay… Why did people think that?" He asked her, he had no idea his wife was so into vamps. Well, except for Buffy.

"Well, She was said to have bathed in blood because she thought it would keep her young and beautiful, but there's no proof off that either. She was in December 29th, 1610 taken into custody. Her and her servants. (Darvulia, Helena Jo, Dorothea Szentes, Janos SzilvassyFiczko, Katarina Beneczky and Erzsi Majerova.) She was suspected of having killed 650 young nobles and servants. They were all executed except for Elizabeth and Katarina. Elizabeth never was trialed or anything, because of her family's power. She had to live her life out in her own bedroom. With all the windows and doors walled up with bricks. Only a small hole in one place to give her food. A maiden (Zusanna) exchanged evidence in change for Katarina's life. When Elizabeth was 54 she died in her bedroom. There's so much more here about her, you just read it. I'm hungry." She tells him, as she stands up and notices her mom standing in the doorway. Half-smiling.

"I see you're still in your vampire phase. Hello, Julian." She tells him, but he had gone back to the beginning of the essay she had been reading.

"Hi!" He only said, without looking up from the screen.

Irina chuckled. Her and Syd walked out of the bedroom on they're way to the kitchen.

10 minutes later, Syd was eating strawberry Jell-O. She had already eaten a sandwich with tomatoes, cucumber slices, cheese and ham.

She and Irina had decided to talk about Andrew tomorrow.

Julian walked in, not really looking like his cocky self. He looked at his wife, eating red jell-o.

"How can you eat that after reading that essay?" He asked her, there was some pretty gruesome stuff in there

"What do you mean? Why not, I was hungry. Anyway maybe you should go and check on your *sister*." She told him, as she slammed the spoon into the, now-empty, bowl a little too hard.

"Just, I don't know, with the life we lead I maybe shouldn't be shocked by what I read but that was…horrible." He tells her, as he sat down beside her.

"I guess. The whole thing with the horse, the gypsy and 6 year old Elizabeth. I mean, she giggled after seeing them open up the belly of the horse, put the guy in and sew it up again, so only the head was hanging out. That was seriously disturbing. And it only got wore. So, you read the whole thing?" She asked him, as she stood up from the table and put the bowl, plate, glass and spoon in the sink.

"Okay, could we stop talking about this now? But yeah, I read the whole thing. I am going to check on Julia now." He told her, as they walked into two different directions.

~*~

Syd had put Julia in Julian's old room. She was handcuffed to his old bed, the TV was on the Discovery channel and Julia looked very pissed off.

"Hi. How are you? Ready to talk?" He asked her, as he sat on a chair that Syd had obviously sat on before because it was so close to Julia's bedside.

"No! But could you turn off the TV? This week, everything has to do with Norway." She tells him, as she rolls her eyes. He doesn't. (I love the discovery channel.)

He's about to say something, when he notices that at the place Syd touched when they got there was darker than the sweater.

He reaches over for her hand, she unconsciously shrinked away from him. He grabs her hand, and sees how her face changes.

He removes the sleeve, by half-removing her sweater. Syd hadn't bothered to dress the wounds. So, when she had grabbed Julia's arm earlier it had re-opened one of the cuts.

First, he checked her other hand. Then he thinks, *They look like self-inflicted wounds. But they can't be, right? They weren't there yesterday when I went to Rome. Could Sydney have this ?* He's deep into thought, so he didn't relies he was still holding her arm. Then he snaps out of it when a pretty loud commercial comes on TV.

"Who did this you?" He asks her, as he drops her arm.

He doesn't even look at him.

"I'm just trying to help you. If you weren't my sister, you'd be dead right now. I'm your brother, after all." He tells her, kind of sad.

She laughs; "Trying' to help me? You never fuc**** could. You were always in fu***** boarding schools. So, don't try anything now. You probably didn't even remember me until Friday when I got back into your life." She tells him, obviously that she wanted to tell him to his face for many years.

"I thought you were dead. I was told you were dead. When I turned 20, I was informed you had died. Why shouldn't I have believed that?" He asked her.

"Naïve. I've been training for this job for 9 years. Obviously, not enough…" She's saying, but Julian's spaced out.

"I gave your sister a sweater and some pants to wear. Thought she might be cold. See, I'm not a total b****." She tells him, joking at the end as she kissed him deeply but he could feel her grinning and her brown eyes sparkling with something he couldn't really put his finger on.

When he snapped out of it, he only caught half of what Julia said; "…going to be so disappointed. Are you okay? You have this strange look on your face." She told him, as he just sits there like he's frozen in place.

"Yes. I'm alright. I have to go. Do you want me to change the channel?" He asked her, as an afterthought.

"Nah, this is okay actually." She tells him, as he walked over to the door.

~*~

Julian found Sydney in the first floor living-room watching 'Vampires: Los Muertos'.

She just looks up at him, half-smiling before returning back to the TV. He grabs her arm, and pulled her off the couch.

"Hey! What's the f**king matter with you?" She snaps at him, but when she sees his angry face she figures it out. "Found out about Julia, have you? Surprised she didn't tell you sooner." She tells him, with a smirk.

He lets go of her arm, "She didn't tell me a thing, blood was seeping through the sweater you gave her. Why did you do that to her? Without even telling me? Did she even tell you a thing?" He asked her, quite upset now.

"Well, She's still the enemy in my eyes. I didn't kill her. Only hurt her, and no, she didn't tell me a thing. Really 'loyal'." She tells him, really angry. He hadn't seen this woman since he was 15, but still he acted like she was someone he was around her all the time. That he actually, really cared for her.

"Is something wrong here ?" Irina asked, as she stood by the entrance of the room.

"Well. No, nothing really, mom." Syd tells her mom, looking all innocent and sh**.

"Irina, could you please come with me?" Julian asked her, as he walked away from Sydney and towards her.

"All right." She tells him, as she and Syd follow him to where Julia is.

When they got to Julia, Irina just lifted one eyebrow in amusement.

"HI!" Is the only thing Julia says to Irina, sheepishly.

Julian lifted up one of Julia's arms and showed them to Irina.

"Syd did this to her. I told her to leave my sister alone. Even though we still don't who she worked for, I asked her to leave her alone." He tells her, as he lets go of Julia's arm and looks pointedly at Syd.

"Syd, give me the Keys to the cuffs." Was the only thing Irina told her daughter, So Syd gave her the keys.

Irina unlocked the cuffs, helped Julia off the bed and then said; "Julia, go to your room."

Julia tries to walk slowly, normally but they see she wants to run.

"Her 'room'?" Syd and Julian, ask at the same time.

A/N: Hope you liked this chapter. Wrote it almost all at once, kind of off the top off my head and got a bunch of ideas for future chapters. Lots to come. This might turn out to be my longest ALIAS fic. I wrote this on a laptop that my mom got from work. Really shouldn't be using it. But you can play DVD in it and as I was writing I watched ep's. of ses.1 of ALIAS. So, cool. When I can I'm defiantly buying a laptop like this.

Still, if any one can help me with the smut, please let me know. Angel01@torg.is

The essay they were talking about earlier can be found at www.vampress.net, I think. Sorry, if it's wrong.

And some more stuff about Elizabeth Bathory here: crimelibrary.com_serial_killers_predators_bathory (it's supposed to be / but I had to put _ so it would show up. also it should say after bathory/countess_1.html)

Tell me if you liked this chapter. Please leave a reply. THANKS!!
