A/N: I LOVE Friends! I'm watching ses.4 (the one with all the rugby). I'm kinda tired, it's like 6:09 (when i wrote this on paper.) on a saturday morning. 01.04.2004; blondes please don't be offendid if I say something mean about blondes. I'm originally a blonde too, though I'm a brunette now, but It's just what the person is saying. I don't feel that way. ~ Crimson Snow, Iceland
LAST TIME: CHAPTER.7;
"Her 'room'?" Syd and Julian, ask at the same time.
~*~
CHAPTER.8:
"Yes. Julia works for me. At the same time her brother was training, She was doing the some light training since she also had school. Then when she turned 20, she finished school and started full training. This was her first real mission, without anyone to watch out for her." She told the half-shocked couple.
"Let me guess, you're the buyer? Then why didn't you stop us? Is that why you sent Andrew? To spy on us?" Syd asked, her mom.
"No, actually I didn't know he went to you. He must have overheard me talking to Julia. Why, what did he say? The artifact doesn't really matter, can get it anytime." She told them, really not surprised that Andrew had gone to them.
~*~
L.A: JTF;
"Hey!! So, you know her? What was she like when she was younger?" Weiss asked her, as they walked out of the briefing room.
"Yeah, I knew her. She had black hair and multiple piercings. Wild thing. Total b****. Like the most popular girl at school, in a teen-flick. She went to Russia, to her mom, after our training was over. There was this other girl that joined us a few years after we started training and man, that girl was annoying." She told him, as she sat down at a table that held her laptop.
~*~
RUSSIA: THAT NIGHT;
They were eating dinner; Julia, Julian and Sydney.
Julia's trying to eat, but Syd keeps looking at her. It was disturbing.
"What!!? Why do you keep staring at me?" Julia asked her, as she looked up from the fashion magazine in front of her on the table.
"I think I've seen you before. Did you used to have dirty blonde hair? Walking blondie joke sometimes?" Syd asked, the last cooment a little b****y.
"Yeah. I used to but I dyed it, a few years ago, to few shades lighter. What do you ... you're fu***** Mia Brandon, right? You trained with Kaydra Newton right outside Arundel, in England. You two were just finishing up when I started light-training there. Only first I had school to finish school, I'm guessing you didn't since you were already there, but I still had two years left when you two finished. So, I couldn't really go into full training untill 20. When I supposedly died. You were always such a b**** to me. What did I ever do to you?" She asked Syd, Julian was really intrested in this subject now.
"If I remember correctly you sucked at hand-to-hand fighting. You used to wear glasses, (nothing wrong with that. I wear glasses.) too. Contact lenses, right? It took you nine years to finish your training? It
took me five years. But I started when I was 14. Didin't do anything, you were just annoying. You and your fashion magazines." Syd told her. The atmosphere there was really hostile in the living room.
"Could you two shut the f*** up, please? I'm trying to eat here." He tells them, quietly.
Julia stood up, and walked out of the room. Slamming the door.
"Why can't you just try and get along with her? You might have to count on her on a mission one day, and what if she won't help you because you pissed her off. Try, at least." He tells her, as he stood up, kissed her and left the room.
She could try, but she just had a bad feeling about this woman. She didn't trust her, and never had.
~*~
L.A:
"So, why are you workin' for the good guys and she for the bad guys? Didn't you train together. Sorry, just don't get it. Weren't you friends?" Weiss asked her, as they were eating dinner at work. Overtime.
She looked up at him, from her chinease take away. "Well, maybe when we were in training all those years back, but she's the enemy. This is what she chose and I choose diffrently, I won't hesitate to do what I have to do to bring them down." She told him, without hesitation. And serious brown eyes with golden flecks in them.

MONTH LATER:
Syd & julian were back at Irina's mansion, in Russia. They had only gone home for two weeks, then they came back last week.
Syd was looking for her mother, because she had some news she had to tell her. They were supposed to leave to France that day, but she really had to talk to Irina. She finally found her mother, in her office. She knocked on the door, before opening it. Irina was sitting there behind her desk, doing something on her computer.
"Yes, Sydney. What is the matter?" She asked her daughter, as she motioned for her to sit down.
"Well..." Syd started, kinda nervous.
~*~
FRANCE: (after the mission. It was just a simple they 'want.take.have.')
Julian was at their hotel, packing their things because they were leaving the next day.
Syd was just having a walk, near the hotel, thinking about things. Just stuff really, like what her mom told her the day before.
She's aware of her surroundings, but still kinda not looking around to see where she's going. So, she's snapped out of her thoughts as someone said 'Sorry ' as they bumped into her.
"Wait, Michael? What are you doing here?" Sud asked him, as she reached for her concealed gun at the back of her jeans.
She was dressed in black jeans, a purple-ish & moss-greeen tank-top and a black leather jacket but that was Julians, so it was a bit baggy on her. (The one he wore a few times in the second half of ses.2, loved that jacket on him. Have only seen ses.1 & 2.)
"Sydney? What are *you* doing here?" He asks her, as he's frozen in place. He was casually dressed and holding a white plastic bag filled with grocceries.
"We should go somewhere not quite so public, and talk. Are you alone?" She asked him, as she started to walk towards a less populated are and lloking around for anything suspicous.
"I'm alone. I quit the CIA two and a half moths ago. I live here now. I'm also unarmed, so you don't have to have your hand on you your gun all the time." He tells her, since she was still ready to shot him if this was a trap or something.
"You really quit the agency? How can I be sure?" She's asking, when he noticed her wedding band.
"Sydney ... Why are you wearing that ring?" (Couldn't help it. had to do it.) Vaughn asked her, as he drew her attention to her ring. It was just so normal for her that she didn't really fee it there anymore.
"Well, I'm married now. Been for the last four months. Why did you quit the CIA? Hope not because of me ..." She was going to say something more, but her cell-phone started to vibrate. She checked the
ID-called and sees it's Julia.
She tells Vaughn to wait a minute.
"Hello? What do you wnat?!I'm in the middle of something. Bug your brother." She's telling her, but trying not to give away any good info.
Vaughn who only heard Sydney's side of the conversation saw that she suddenly went kinda shocked, then her hazel eyes were alight with hatred.
"Listen, you b****!! I promised him, I'd try to get along with you but don't push me. And don't you dare tell anyone, your arms are only newly healed." Syd told her, before hanging up on Julia. That woman had only called her to taunt her. The nerve of the woman.
"Who was that? Who did you make a promise ..." Vaughn was asking , as he saw Mr. Sark spotting them and walking over to them.
Syd turned around, and saw the look in his eyes, as he got closer. Playfullness. She decided to play along. People would soon know anyways.
He walked up to them, and slid one arm around her waist.
He was dressed in jeans, a white unbuttoned dress-shirt and a black t-shirt under the shirt.
"Who said you could take my jacket?" He ask her, before kissing her deeply on the lips.
Vaughn clears his throath, to let them know he's still there. He then noticed the ring on Julian's finger. Almost identicle to Syd's band. Julian had been wearing it on his hand for this mission, ince they already were posing as a married couple.
*s***!* Vaughn though, as he looked at the couple in front of him.
"I just had to take a walk and I just grabbed the first over-coat that I saw on my way out. I'm sorry." She told him, pouting. but then smirks. He kisses her again, then looks at Vaughn.
"Can we ... help you?" He asked, as he looked at the dumbfounded Vaughn.
"Your husband?" Vaughn asked, but altready knew the answear, as he caught a glance at the other ring on Syd's hand.
"Well, yeah. Sark, this is Michael Vaughn, ex-CIA-SLASH-boyfriend." She tells Julian, she wasn't gonna reaveal his real name. The Cia didn't know it yet, and she wasn't gonna help them.
"What's that other ring on your finger, I feel like I might have seen one before. On a TV show, maybe." Vaughn told her, as he points at her finger that held her Claddagh-ring.
"It's a Claddagh ring. It was in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Angel gave one to Buffy, on her 17th birthday, in season.2, before he turned into Angelus. Well, Vaughn we need to be going now. Good luck with your new life. Bye!" She half-yelles at hhim, as her and Julian walk away. Towards the hotel.
Vaughn watched the woman he truly cared for, walk away from him, her head on her 'husbands' shoulder and they were looking very much in love.
Well, he had to call someone and tell them what happend tonight.
