A/N: I just bought this movie on DVD (when I wrote this on paper.), named 'Killing Me Softly'. It has Heather Graham and Joseph Fiennes. It's good, but it would probably be rated NC-17 in the U.S. However, it's a British flick. It's kinda weird, and sometimes creepy but that's how I like films. Weird.

08.04.2004: Tonight I'm gonna go to a Sugababes-concert. Maybe they're not very well known in the U.S. but they are a British girl-band and well, it's just really cool that they are coming here. But what is cooler is that Korn, Metallica, Placebo, Pink, and many others are coming here. Now that is cool, like they're gonna be two shows with Korn. They're okay but I wouldn't go to one of their shows, not really my thing. But if Evanescence ever came here, I'd defiantly try to go see them. I'll probably try and go to Pink's show but that's sometime this Summer and I don't know what I'll be doing then.

14.04.2004: That concert wasn't really that good, I would have still gone but if I had bought the ticket I would have thought it wasn't that wisely spent. I used www.freetranslation.imtranslator.com to translate that text into italian so I'm sorry if it's not 100% correct.

WHAT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED … Syd & Julian got married. Julian found that his sister, Julia was still alive and worked for Irina. In France, Syd finds out that Vaughn quit the CIA and moved to France.

CHAPTER. 9:

L.A:

"We got a call from Michael Vaughn, just a few hours ago. He encountered former agent Sydney Bristow and The Man's Director of operations, Mr. Sark. He ran into Mrs. Lazarey and her husband, Julian. They've been married for 4 months now…"

"Excuse me but who are you talking about?" Weiss asked Dixon, as for he did not know that Syd was married (obviously), and hadn't connected what Dixon said earlier.

"Sydney Lazarey. She married Julian Lazarey four months ago. Weren't you paying attention to one word he said?" Jack Bristow asked him, slightly flustered.

His daughter, married to that MAN.

"Sydney married him? Oh, my god!" Marshall asked shocked.

"SHUT UP, JULIA!! GO AWAY!" Syd yelled at Julia, as Julian walked up to the two fighting in the hallway.

"What is wrong? Why are you two fighting?" He asked them, as Julia smirked and looked at Syd.

"Yeah, Syd. Tell him what were fighting about." She says, daring her to tell him.

"It's nothing. Well, it's something, but I was gonna tell you…" Syd was saying, as she was interrupted.

"She's pregnant. She told her mom, before you, her husband. I wonder why?" Julia said, teasingly. She had meant to tell him the whole time.

Julian was shocked. Yeah, why wouldn't his wife tell him she's pregnant.

He felt Syd come to him, and hug him. She whispers into his ear, "I'm sorry, Love. I was gonna tell you. I just never found the right time." She tells him, as she covered one side of his neck with kisses.

Julia just rolled her eyes, and walked away.

"I know. I just wish you would have told me and not my sister." He told her, as they walked to the front door.

"I'm sorry about that. I didn't tell her, I think mom told her. Julia's a b****. I just had to have some time to think for myself. Do I want this child? Do you want it? Will it ever be safe from our life? Can we keep our own child safe?" She asked him, a little speck of fright in her eyes.

4 MONTHS LATER: ROME;

Jack had finally found out where his daughter was living.

Vaughn had started back at the CIA, but while his two last weeks in France he met someone. She helped him pack and everything. She came to the U.S. with him, she's American but has an British accent. She went to a boarding school there. You could see that he was deeply smitten by the blonde-haired woman.

Jack knocked on the door, and what slapped him right in the face when he saw the door open, really shocked him.

The person that opened the door, was a very casually dressed Sark. A smile on his face, before he saw who stood in front of him.

"Mr. Bristow. What are you doing here?" He asked, all cold again.

"Is my daughter here?" He asked, eyes as cold as ice on the North Pole.

"Yes, she is here. What do you want with her?" He asked, this man hadn't even been around her until nine years ago when she was undercover and now he was acting as if he had raised her.

"I want to talk to her. Tell her things. Find out how she's doing …" Jack saying, as he turns around and sees a pizza-delivery man walk up the driveway to the house.

Jack looked puzzled, PIZZA?

"Ciao, Sig. Lazarey. Qui's la sua pizza e qui's il vostro. Guardare fuori cosí lei indossa't loro mescola su ancora, o lí'il ll è l'inferno pagare.(Hi, Mr. Lucas. Here's her pizza and here's yours. Watch out so you don't mix them up again, or there'll be hell to pay.)" The guy said in Italian, smiling like he knew Sark & Sydney.

"I ringraziamenti, il bambino. Ed il docente universitario't l'inquietudine, ho vinto't. Ho imparato che l'ultimo tempo. Di mai di dare la sua la sbagliata pizza. (Thanks, kid. And don't worry, I won't. I learned that the last time. Never give her the wrong pizza.)" He told the boy, also in Italian as he paid for the two pizzas.

As the pizza delivery guy was leaving, Jack was still thinking about that weird conversation.

"Is that my piz…? What are you doing here? Jack? Hello, anyone there? Close the door, Julian. I'm starving, which one is mine, don't want your weird pizza." Syd told her, as she dismissed her father for pizza.

As Julian was closing the door, he handed her the lower pizza-box. That one held only pineapple and extra cheese.

Jack puts his foot into the doorway, so the door doesn't close all the way.

He walks past Julian, who had tried to stop him at first, but then just thought; *He probably just wants to convince her to come 'home' with him.* as if she'd ever do that, at least he hoped so.

When Jack reached the kitchen, Syd sat there in green sweats and a black tank top. Her hair in a messy ponytail, and it was also black. She was already half way through her pizza.

"Sydney, you dyed your hair black?" He asked her, as she started on slice four.

Julian just sat down beside her, opened his pizza-box and took out a slice, put it on a plate and put it into Jack's direction.

"She doesn't talk while she eats. I suggest you sit down, relax and have some pizza. This has pepperoni, mushrooms, green paprika. That's just her thing, pineapple and cheese." He told Jack, as Jack stared at the slice of pizza in front of him.

A few minutes later, both pizzas finished, Syd stood up and walked out of the kitchen. Then a few more minutes later, she comes back in black pants & a white shirt.

"What do you want, Jack? Why did you come here? Did they send you?" She asked, as he followed her into the downstairs living room that had a glass-wall that had a door that lead into the backyard. What you could see of it through the glass was beautiful.

"I wanted to see my daughter, I came here to see you and no, they did not send me. You are an enemy in their eyes now; do you get that, Sydney? You can never go back there, you can never go back home." Jack said, trying to tell her what she had done.

"Home? That place was never my 'home'. It was my MISSION. I don't get emotionally attached to my missions. It happened once, and it will never happen again. This is my home, here with my husband. And my youth was spent in England and Russia. Why should I wanna go back 'HOME'? They're right to look at me as an enemy, because I am and always was the enemy. It just took you extremely long time to figure it out." She told him, like she had half-expected him to figure out she was a 'black hat' much sooner. Certainly not nine years.

"Maybe I should just leave then. I should never have let Laura take you with her." Jack told her, blaming himself for what had become of her daughter.

"You still call her 'Laura'? You call her a name of a person that never even excited. Maybe you need to let go of the past. Never pegged you for a nostalgic type." She told her father, as she stood by the glass wall and looked at her father. Her eyes held nothing but hostility.

"Is it true that you are pregnant?" He asked her, as he was walking towards the front door.

Syd just rolled her eyes, and said to him and pointed to her stomach; "Isn't it pretty obvious. Weren't you leaving?" She just told him, as she opened the door to the garden and walked into the sun-bathed garden (small but beautiful garden), with only a shadow from one tree.

Jack doesn't say anything, he just leaves. Julian was the only one left in the room. Jack gone and Syd in the garden. He just sat down in the light-brown couch and watched Syd, who wasn't really doing anything but looking up at the clear sky, from under the tree.

6 MONTHS LATER:

"Isn't she adorable, Julian? I'll call her Anya, which was my favorite character from Buffy. Thanks, Mom. What made you think of this?" Syd was talking to her mom, who had just arrived that morning to see her daughter and grand-daughter. She had given her daughter a half-grown female cat. A brown, grey and white calico cat.

"Well, I just remember that before we left your father you were always asking for a cat. I saw this cat on my way here, and well, I don't know why but I just bought it. I don't think Julian likes Anya." She tells her daughter, as she sees the look on his face as he watches the cat take a nap in Syd's lap.

"I don't like cats. They do not seem to like me either. Besides, I am allergic to them. After a while around them, I start to sneeze and such." He told her, as he sat beside her on the couch.

Anya opened her eyes, and looked disapprovingly at Julian. Her cat-eyes looked at him and saw a guy who she didn't understand what was doing there. Near her new master. She didn't like this man. Therefore, she stretched as a cat would do after a nap in the sun, and walked over to him. Then she buried her claws in his thighs.

He didn't make a sound, only grabbed the cat and yanked him off his feet, while victory shined in Anya's eyes and amusement in Sydney's eyes.

"They sense if you don't like them. They are not stupid. Don't be mean to her." Syd told him, a Anya took her place again in Syd's lap.

"I'm going to check on Viola. See if there's anything May needs anything." He told her, as he walked to the stairway. Viola's room was an adjoining room to their bedroom, but they actually slept with her crib in their room, but May was their babysitter when they were doing their business and when they couldn't watch her.

May wasn't really a normal babysitter; she was really one of Irina's employees. She had the mission of keeping her granddaughter out of harms way.

"Lauren, do you know where my tie is? The one I had put on the chair before I took a shower?" Vaughn asked his new girlfriend, Lauren Reed.

"No, Mike. I have no idea. Maybe it fell onto the floor or something. Hurry up, or you'll be late for work. That'd be a great first week back, late every other day." She told him, as she was chucking junk into her suitcase, as she was getting ready for her first day as an assistant to her dad.

"Hey, the day before yesterday was your fault. I was all ready to go, but you distracted me. And I was only a few minutes too late." He tells her, as he emerged from their bedroom. It had a bathroom, which was walked into from the bedroom.

"Okay, I admit that was my fault but not the other times you've been late. Like today, that's because you couldn't find your tie and that you slept a bit longer that you should have." Lauren told him, as she brushed her shoulder-length, curly, blonde hair and blue eyes that held so many things that Vaughn missed when he looked into them. He just chooses not to see them, probably.

"Well, do you know who unplugged the alarm-clock? This is your fault, too. You and your habit of unplugging my clocks. You have to stop doing that." He told her, as they were walking out of their flat.

"Yeah, sorry about that. Not very used to waking up so early in the morning. Well, when I was younger, in boarding school, but not for the few years I've been living around Europe." She told him, as they were walking towards their cars.

"See you tonight. Have a good first day at work. Bye." He told her, as he got into his car, started it up and went away. She only smiled at him and waved as he disappeared from sight.

Lauren got into her car, a black convertible, and rolled her eyes. What had Mia seen in the guy?

To Be Continued…

A/N: I wrote this chapter on my mom's work-laptop, the first half from pre-written stuff and the last two-three pages just written as I went along, while first watching an ep. From ses.1 of Buffy. Then while listening to the cast commentary from the extended version of The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers. Then also the former disc (disc.3) with all the extra stuff. But it's like 02:42 and everyone except me is asleep, and I'm tired so I'm gonna stop now. Easter almost here.

I didn't think this chapter was that good, so please tell me what you thought and leave a reply. I need it, it helps me write better. But I don't think I'm very good at writing. I just try my best and hope you all (who are still reading and just have been reading my fics) like it.
