Sonic Alex

Disclaimer: I do not own Sonic X or anything related. I actually don't even watch the anime show.

Author's note: Simply put, I'm taking the whole Sonic X concept... and completely rewriting it. That's all I'd like to say at the moment.

Remember when reviewing: This fic is SUPPOSED to be like Sonic X. Don't flame. Tell the truth, though.

Chapter 1: What was that?

--

The whole thing started at my house. I'm Alex DeJune, age 12 and 2/3, master of everything Sonic. I'm just your average middle school student, nothing special.
I go to the Calburg Middle School. My hobbies include skateboarding, trading cards, and (of course) video games. I've got a nice 2-story house in the suburbs.
Perfectly normal life, right?
It was, for a while. Then THAT happened.
As I said, the whole thing started at my house. It was a glorious summer Tuesday. I was sorting my deck of Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards when I saw something.
It started as a bright flash up in the sky. Then, what looked like a blue meteor rocketed down and crashed right in the middle of the apple orchard near our house.
"What was that?" I wondered. As any 12.66667-year-old boy would do, I headed into the orchard to check it out. The impact had knocked down an apple tree, and it now lay on the ground.
I checked out the base of the tree, and my heart skipped about four beats. Lying there, dazed and a little bruised, was the unmistakable figure of the famous Sonic the Hedgehog.
You read right, Sonic the Hedgehog.
I ran to our house and got a bucket of water, and dumped it on Sonic's head. Finally he came to. "Wh... where am I?" he finally said. I was too shocked to answer.
Sonic managed to stagger to his feet. "Who are you?" he asked me. "My name is Alex DeJune," I replied. "I take it you are Sonic the Hedgehog?"
This was a little shocking for Sonic. "Y-You know my name? How did you know who I was?"
"Trust me," I said, "you'd never believe me if I told you."
After a silence, Sonic spoke up again. "Can you give me directions to Emerald Town? I think I'm a little lost. This doesn't look a thing like anywhere I've ever been."
I laughed. "No wonder you're lost! You aren't even in your own dimension!" Of course, this confused Sonic even more. "I told you," I said, "you'd never believe me."
Sonic and I held hands. "By the way," said Sonic, "do you know where I can stay for a while? It doesn't look like I'll be able to return home for a while."
"You can stay with me," I replied. "There's enough room in my bedroom for both of us. Just promise you won't poke me with those spines of yours, 'kay?"

Short chapter? Yeah, I guess. Better short than nothing, though.
