Xander stopped the Shield Liger in a small "slip" as they're called, and waited for the exit ramp to extend from the catwalk. He hopped out of the Liger and cut off a small part of his sleeve. He dabbed some chloroform onto the sleeve and waited for a guard or soldier to go by.
Xander waited for about ten minutes, and he let his guard down. Then, he saw a guard walk by. He stared at the guard for a moment, as if in a daze. Then he jolted, and snuck toward the guard. He realized that the chloroform was dried out! Xander immediately replaced it and lunged toward the guard.
The guard didn't put up much of a fight. Xander caught him on an inhaling breath, so the chloroform immediately set in.
Xander took the guard's uniform and hid the body behind some machinery. He then went directly to the testing lab where this "Lightning Liger" should be held. When he got to the labs, everything was a mess. Parts were strewn everywhere, and the only clearing of all this junk was a small spot around a cheetah-like zoid.
"That must be the Lightning Liger," Xander said with awe.
He sent his dark-blue organoid, Osiris, into the Liger. Xander jumped into the cockpit and started it up. He opened the hanger doors via remote, and piloted the Zoid directly out at full speed.
This was the fastest he'd ever gone! He activated the stage two boosters and was thrown back by the power of the thrusters. Stage three would be the Liger's full speed.
Xander hesitated for a moment, but then pushed the switch.
A message appeared on the screen. It said "Saix stage armor Mach VI jettisoned."
So that was its name. Lightning Saix.
Xander felt a jolt, and then the whole Zoid toppled to the ground. There was a failure in the back leg, due to the boosters.
Xander looked around, and saw nothing. He was inside a canyon.
He was lost.
