I wrote this poem based on the Final Atonement when Kenshin's life ends, it
is written as though Kaoru were saying it to him as he died in her arms.

When I Look Into Your Eyes
When I looked into your eyes,
I saw many many things,
The sorrow of your past,
And the death of many beings.
When I looked into your eyes,
I saw a story behind a scar.
And although there was a lighten path,
It sometimes seemed very far.
When I looked into your eyes,
I saw a heart full of regret,
For you can not change the past
But still you can't forget.
When I looked into your eyes,
It was very plane to see,
The hardship of your past,
Won't you let go for me please.
Through the years you took up wondering,
Until you were found by me.
And now its time my Kenshin,
To let your past go free.
When I looked into your eyes,
I truly saw this many things.
Now when I look into your eyes,
I see your past has been let free,
By the chains that kept you captive,
I'm glad you shared your pain with me.
I will truly miss you,
Of that I'm sure you see,
But I'm glad your hearts long journey,
Has ended here with me.
And that is what I see when I look into your eyes.
A love that's never ending,
And a spirit that never dies.

That's it. I came up with the idea when I was thinking about the movie and
got all chocked up, I saw a piece of paper and a pencil near by and just
wrote it down. I hope you like it. Please review.
