~ Chapter 2~
The boys leaned against the wall as they watched Ross from across the room.
She nodded to the nurse in front of her as the nurse pointed into a direction, she smiled and they laughed a bit as she turned around to motion to the boys to follow... they did.
The caught up with her, the therapy had brought her back to her usual speedy walking.
"You guys are gonna have to wait in the visitor's lounge, this.... Examination is kinda a big deal for my recovery, you know to determine if I need another surgery to repair anymore shattered bone." She said as they nodded in a confused agreement.
She dropped them off at the waiting room and made her way to the cold steel table that awaited her.

She sat in the baby blue robe provided and swung her legs impatiently.
"Come on.... Come on" she thought as she glared at the floor.
She had just had some x-rays and was waiting for the results, it was going on half an hour now and she was getting quite anxious.
- Door-
"Oh hello Miss. Gem" said a too familiar voice making her raise her head in confusion.
It was.... The doctor from her old hospital... how in the world did he know she was here.
"Sir" she said at a loss of words.
"I see you took my advice, good girl, now let me see that leg of yours" he said as she obeyed resting it on the cold table, he examined in as she watched him her head slightly titled in confusion.
"How did...."
"Well I have a med- student here and when he told me about the procedure conducted on you, I had no doubts it was my former patient," he said with a smile as she nodded in understanding.
He probed at her knee and told her to do some exercises, as he checked her reflexes.
"Well your knee looks excellent for the abuse it's been through; you might need another operation though I would highly recommend it, with all the physical activity you are in-"
"Don't worry sir" she said looking down.
"Im not into that anymore" she mumbled, but he understood.
"I see but, what about that" he said pointing to her neck with held her dog tags.
"Oh" she said grabbing them,
"I wear then as a reminder of who I was" she said looking down, he smiled.
"Yes, I guess it does make sense to be proud of your achievements"
"I wouldn't call them achievements more like mere .... Tasks of life, hardships in a sense" she said as he chuckled.
"Yes well I can see that too!!" he said as she smiled stuffing the tags and two other chains that adored her neck underneath her robe.
"Please Ross if you don't mind I would like to check your... heart just to make sure it is working correctly with the medication" he said as she shrugged.
"Knock yourself out" he said lying back on the table as he placed the frozen stethoscope on her chest.
He listened and his brow furrowed and then moved it to a different position which received the same expression.
"Well" he said putting it around his neck.
"You're not in the danger zone which is good, but I still think you might want to come in for a more inclusive examination" he said as she raised a brow.
"Alright I suppose but let me ask...does it sound at all harsh?"
"A tad but that's normal for your heart since it is under constant extra pressure it's nothing to worry about, here" he said ripping off a piece of paper and handing it to her.
"I want you back here in a few weeks, I'll do it myself since I am already familiar with the case, but until then get this prescription in just in case, it should increase the amount of enzymes produced in your blood." He said as she looked at the scribble in the sheet of paper.
"Alright thank you sir" she said as he nodded and left the room.
She stuffed it in her pocket as she got dressed.

She walked out of the pharmacy holding the bottle of green capsules, stuffing it in her pocket she walked into the now empty waiting room except for two snoring saiyans. She shook her head with a chuckle and threw a plastic pillow at them.
"Hey I didn't say you had to come, so get your lay bums up and lets go" she said as they rubbed their eyes but they followed they knew she was right in that they should have just left before they started watching the inside of they eyelids.

"Everything alright?" asked Trunks yawning.
"Yeah" she said as they just stretched from their rigid posture.
"You know we might as well hang out at Trunks tonight I mean our house is mess cause of mom's 'redecorating' phase and since dad's not there it's just going to get worse" said Gotein jokingly as Ross nodded and Trunks turned for home....
~Meanwhile~
A pair of red eyes lingered in a near by tree as a muffled growl encased the now ebony night.
