~Chapter 11~
The doctors swarmed the small square hole in the wall in which Ross lay. Her breathing was faint and her heart was broken.... Good things come at a deadly price. Hiei sat in the doorway with the others who stared at the scene in complete agony.
The doctors filed out of the room after Ross was fully pumped with drugs and connected to more than a few machines.
"She just needs some rest" said one as he left the grieving family to their prize.
Ross' body was pumped with air as the respirator kept her from slipping away, her heart kept up a molasses beat which sent a chill up her observers' spines.
Chi Chi sat on the side lines staring over at her child, who lay pathetically in the bed before her; she sighed and left the room not able to watch the scene any longer.
Kuwa huffed at her action and pulled up a chair to Ross' bed along with Yukina who could only force herself not to break-down.
'My best friend... she's... she-' Yukina couldn't bring herself to think the words which lay dormant in her subconscious.
~ Ross' Dream~
Ross walked into a blank room, no walls nor windows bared in its mist she looked around confused.
"This didn't happen the first time I died?" she thought as she looked around for any signs of life.
"That is because my dear you are not dead yet" said a calming voice, Ross searched around startled from the booming voice.
"Who are you?" she asked, she could feel the figure smiling.
"Don't tell me you have forgotten about me already Ross?" she said as Ross looked around for the voice's owner.
Then she felt a tap on her shoulder, she whirled around in ready position only to meet a pair of lilac eyes.
"Rosa..." she said at a loss of words.
"Well duh silly Im surprised it took you this long I mean im only a part of you!" She said with a wild grin plastered on her face.
The kitsune stood at Ross' height her ears a blood red twitched with amusement while her nine tails swayed behind her in the black tip pronounced with excitement. She wore a pair of baggy blue jeans and combat boots much like Ross' her shirt an army green was cut a bit low, it clung tightly to her curves, her blonde tresses swayed freely behind her the red and orange highlights beaming through the white atmosphere.
"So I see you found me" said Ross with a bit of amusement
'Am I having a conversation with someone else or myself?' she thought as Rosa smiled revealing fangs.
"Well I prefer to be a different person but unfortunately Im stuck with ya!" she said with a laugh.
"Did you... read my mind?" she said a bit startled.
"No, well yes in a sense since I am linked to you and I am a part of you I know everything you know and everything you think" she said as Ross nodded in confusion
Rosa sighed "Alright well obviously you know of me because I am in your subconscious and all but the thing is I AM you I am your soul." She said as Ross looked at the ground.
"So let me get this straight I know that you are a part of me, while that is obvious I still wonder why and how you know so much about the outside world I mean wait im getting off topic why are you in my body?" she asked looked up at the fox demon.
"You see I have formed you the reason you are the way you are and the reason you think the way you do is because YOU and I are the same I am Ross, just in a different body which is your former life; Kurama's sister Hiei's mate, I became apart of you when you were in your mother and well I had to take shelter somewhere in the human world, unfortunately I had no clue you would be a saiyan which made matters worse, In other words I took over your body OUR body and mind for my own protection." She said her lilac eyes bearing into Ross' mind like hot embers.
"Alright" she turned from view.
"I understand" she said not looking at Rosa.
"What... what's wrong?" she asked trying to peer in on Ross.
"Nothing ... I mean why should I be angry because you took shelter in my body I mean OUR body I should feel honored.... I mean I am you right?" she said smiling.
"That's right or maybe im the one who should feel honored" she said holding out her hand.
"Come on I want to show you something" she said as Ross looked at her at a complete loss and then took it.

Ross floated above a forest the tree's leaves and canopy blocking the view of the ground.
"This is a memory you have of me" said Rosa as they descended.
Ross looked around to see a bunch of female fox demons running around in sun dresses.
"Alright children settle down" said a woman's voice as they all murmured and sat on the ground Indian style.
"Now today class" the woman wore ballet shoes and a light pink dress her brown tresses secured behind her as she smiled.
"We will be talking about the annual pack celebration" she said as the girls cheered.
Then a rustle in the woods made the small group hang on they toes.
"Quick children behind me" said the woman as she put a force field around the class, as the rustle became more distinct two young kits came tumbling out of the bushes.
"TAKE IT BACK!" yelled a young girl with blood red ears and tail as she pulled the boy by the hair.
"OK, OK LET GO!" he yelled as she pulled harder but then released him after sensing the instructor's glare.
"MISS ROSA WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT FIGHTING!" she yelled as Rosa grinned sheepishly.
"That it's no place for a girl" she murmured as they woman glared.
"That's right, now apologize" she said as Rosa looked up confused.
"Apologize for not being lady-like" said the woman as the Rosa just stared blankly at her.
"No" she said as the class gasped.
"What?"
"I said No he needs to apologize to me for calling my brother a traitor" she said as they woman crossed her arms.
"Get to your seat Rosa" she said pointing to it, she stalked over and plopped into place as the class resumed the girls whispering loads of gossip about the tom-boy kitsune. While the scene became blurred.

They were now in the white room again Ross stared blankly at where the scene once was.
"You see" stared Rosa.
"Im just like you... always wanted to fight never fitting in and always going against the grain" she said as Ross looked up at her.
"Yes but... why are you here and why are you showing me this?" she asked as Rosa smiled.
"Because it's about time you knew yourself and knew your destiny" and with that the form in front of Ross disappeared.
"You can't give up on life now.... you still have so much to learn, We still have so much to learn and I promise you my dear this is only the beginning. GO back to the living world... they need you" the walls echoed with Rosa's last words as they lingered in Ross' mind.
'They... need me?' she thought
She could feel herself being tugged out of the world around her but this time where would she be lead???

Ross' room was empty everyone had left to go for a final search for the stone, only the boys remained, they had been told to take a break as her family resumed searching.
"I feel like I've abandoned her you know cause im not helping with the search I mean we can't just sit here and watch her die can we?" asked Kuwa looking around at the boys they avoided eye contact.
"No, but we can't kill ourselves doing it either" said Yusuke as Kuwa huffed and went back to staring at the opposing wall.
Hiei looked over at Ross, all the kept her alive was the machines around her what if there were a power surge or someone accidentally knocked a plug out of the wall, he though of all the options and thought it best to keep an eye on her.
Ross' hand flinched, catching Kurama's attention.
"Hiei" he stared going over to the girl.
"Can you read her mind?" he asked as Hiei raised a brow.
"Funny Fox for once you want me to pry into her privacy" he said looking out the window as rain began to fall.
"Hiei"
"Alright stop prying" he said as he took off his bandana and it began to glow.
He closed his eyes and was brought into a whirlpool of thoughts he felt a sharp pain and yelled in agony as he withdrew from her thoughts.
Rubbing his jagan he growled at his misfortune.
"What is it She bite you or something?" asked Kuwa laughing.
"No you fool she's.... fighting with herself" he said as they all raised a brow except for Kurama who just chuckled.
"And what's so funny?" asked Yusuke.
"I expected as much, the stone is bring out her most inner emotions she is confronting her fears and her sorrows at the same time" he said, the boys looked at him and then back to Ross.
"Very good gentlemen I see you've improved your skills" said a hearty voice from the door, they turned to see a cloaked figure, they lept into defense mode. "Who are you?" asked Kuwa
"Yeah and what do you want?" asked Yusuke, the man chuckled.
"Don't worry I just WANT THE GIRL!" he yelled taking off his cloak to reveal a large demon with many eyes.
"It's you" said Kurama.
"That smell I would remember it anywhere Ross reeked of it after the attack" he said as the demon chuckled once more.
"Yes I seem to have that effect on people, too bad your little Rossy couldn't stay down the first time I killed her" he said as they clenched their teeth.
"You see I'll be out of your way once I get the girl, pit this stone needs a host to live so I need the girl to USE IT!" he said baring his teeth.
"Never" said Kurama standing in front of her bed protectively.
"Pity I have to take the famous Youko down for a pathetic ningen" he said as Kurama growled.
"Go to hell" Kurama said the boys were a bit surprised at Kurama's outburst it wasn't like him to loose his temper.
"Fine, BUT IM TAKING YOU WITH ME!" and with that he charged at the kitsune, with a quick flick of his whip he was down.
"Pity" said Kurama holding the necklace.
"He wasn't even worth my time" he said looking over at Hiei and the others who grinned from the success of finding the stone.
~ So what do you think??? Alright now be brutally honest, Im not going to force you all to tell me im great cause SOME people have a stick up their ass!, thought I know im not and would never be so arrogant as to say that, I guess some people just ASSUME the wrong things... pity ~
