~Chapter 13~
"Hey did you hear about her and Trunks?" said a spiky silver haired guy, a group crowded around him.
"Yeah can you believe that someone tried to kill them?" said a girl with caramel hair secured in a high pony tail.
"Yeah I know, hey but did you know that he's dating her?" said the silver haired guy
"WHAT!?!" she said a bit flustered that one of the biggest studs was taken by the 'new girl'
"Sh... here she comes" said the guy trying to calm down the gossiping girls.
Ross made her way down the hall, trying to avoid eye contact as she hobbled down the hall with her crutches.
'So much for discrete' she thought as she passed the now deadly quiet group.
She growled as they stared at her as she turned the corner 'Stupid TV' she thought as she walked well... hobbled into her first period class.
Truthfully that was the least of her worries, without Koenma's helps she would be a lot worse... and besides she had gotten use to her crutches... though her back wasn't completely healed she did get her full strength back and she was able to walk; she was grateful.
She sat down in her normal seat as everyone turned to look at her.
"Ross!" said her teacher breaking the awkward silence.
"G-great performance last week you saved my tail im sorry to hear about the attack... but it's good that you're O.K" he said as she sighed in relief someone had to break the ice.
'Ok meaning what I have a fox demon bugging me now' she thought but smiled instead.
"Yeah I'll be alright as well as Trunks we were lucky and thank you for giving me the chance to perform I appreciate it" she said as everyone looked at her.
"Performance?"
"Yeah... I sang he...he it was fun"
"You were GREAT!" I mean wow you seriously have some talent I was very surprised" said her teacher with a grin.
"Thanks...." She said a bit sarcastically... 'Surprised huh?' she thought as the bell rang.
"You'll have to perform again" he said as she rubbed the back of her head.
"Maybe" she said grinning.
"So Ross" said a girl turning around.
"Are you and Trunks really going out?" she said as Ross sighed.
'You can't hide it now they've got you cornered.
"Yeah... I we are" she said with a smile.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE THE NEW GIRL AND THE FAMOUS TRUNKS BRIEFS AWESOME!" she said as the class erupted on gossip.
Ross sighed and leaned back getting a bit of pain.
'Damn' she thought.
"You alright?" said a girl next to her.
"Yeah im alright just a bit sore is all" Ross said moving her chair into a more comfortable position.
"I heard you had two surgeries!" said a guy with blonde spiky hair.
"Yeah ... well I did but"
"I can't believe it and you're actually here that's NUTS!" he said laughing everyone nodded wide-eyed in agreement.
'Why did I come back' she thought as her head met the desk top.

Ross took notes as first period droned by... 'Geeze talk about boredom' she thought as they discussed the difference between adverbs and adjectives.
-Knock-
'Why do I have a feeling that, that's not a good thing' she thought as they classroom's attention went to the hard drumming of the door.
The teacher looked over and went wide eyed falling off his chair. He went over and hurriedly opened the door.
"Gohan! It's been forever what are you doing here how are you?" he asked bombarding Ross' distraught brother with a thousand questions.
"Im... alright" he said rubbing the back of his head and entering the room,
"Oh God" said Ross hitting her head against the desk. The class looked at Gohan confused, they knew him for the Champ's daughter's husband... he was fairly popular with the papers.
Gohan heard her head drop and turned to see Ross in one of the first seats.
"Ross... you have a doctor's appointment come on" he said as everyone looked at him confused.
"How... do you now Ross" he said as Ross sighed heavily.
"She's... my sister" he said as everyone gasped and turned to her.
"Wait your Ross brother which means that Gotein... is Ross brother OMG she lied to us!" said a girl turning to the now deadly looking Ross, she glared at Gohan harshly.
She turned her head to the girl.
"No you see I never said that he wasn't my brother you guys just assumed he wasn't" she said standing up, Gohan moved to help her but she just growled in return.
"Im alright... I think you've done enough thank you" she growled.
"What did I do?" he said in his defense raising his hands.
"It's called the office" she said angrily.
"Oh come on, you now I work here as a sub" he said as she growled.
"Unfortunately come on we're going to be late." She said making her way to him. "This absolutely incredible two geniuses in one family" said the teacher as Ross chuckled.
"No you see you have me confused im no genius" she said as she went to the door her brother behind her.
"This explains a lot I mean you knowing Trunks and all since you know Gotein is best friends with him.... Since they were born... but wait where have you been all this time Gotein never said he had a sister... what were you in some kind of brain school and he was too jealous to say anything?" said a guy with blond hair making the whole class roar with laughter, Ross stopped in her tracks.
She turned around.
"Well you have one part right... I do know Trunks because my brother is his best friend but so am I! But you're wrong about my brother he's not jealous of me and to answer the third one..."she said putting her hand to her neck and taking off her dog tags and jingling them.
"I've been in military camp... you think Gotein and Trunks are bad at pranks... HAH lets just say that it was a trio before it was a duo! You wonder why I didn't tell you about my relations with Gotein and Trunks there's your answer... gossip" she said throwing the dog tags in the air and then catching them with her hand as she made it out the door.
"Wow... SHE TOLD YOU!" yelled another guy as they room laughed.
"She's AWESOME!" yelled another guy.

Ross sat on the doctor's table.
"What did you do that?" asked Gohan, she looked up from the floor and over at him.
"Do what?" she asked as he eyed her.
"You lied for Gotein" he said as she sighed.
"Well.... I figured if I didn't say I was related to him there would be a lot less questions and you know I didn't wan to ruin his life and all because of me... I don't know I guess I was just looking out for him" she said swinging her legs.
Gohan looked at her for a minute then leaned back in his chair his arms folded.
"Why should others suffer because of my mistakes" she said as he looked at her once again she didn't make eye contact.
'She's growing up so fast' he thought as they doctor entered.

Ross sat at the Brief's kitchen table her books open.
"Hey" said Trunks walking in.
"Hey" she said not looking up.
"Heard you finally told people you were my sister" said Gotein not caring for the small talk.
"Oh yeah I did" she said looking up from her work.
"You mad?" she asked as he gave her a big goofy grin.
"Oh course not I was waiting for you to say something!" he said as she smiled.
"I know you wouldn't be mad" she sad going back to her work.
"What are you doing home?" he asked.
"I got fired" she said turning a page.
"What! Why?" he asked as she sighed.
"Because they say im a 'hazard' to the other employees" she said as Trunks sighed.
"That sucks" he said bouncing one of her curls.
"hey hey stop it" he said pulling away.
"Man you're so anal about that" said Trunks sitting down beside her.
"What did the doctor say?" he asked as she sighed.
"That im doing well" she said flatly as she flipped another page.
-Beep-
She stopped her work and pulled out her communication mirror.
"Yep" she said looking to see Kurama.
"We're having a get together later wanted to know if you wanted to join" he said as she grinned.
"I don't know do you have enough food to feed a saiyan?" she asked as he smiled.
"I see you have your appetite back" he said as she grinned wildly.
"You bet!" she said as he chuckled.
"Alright well it's at 7 you can crash here if you want" he said as she laughed.
"We'll see later" she said shutting it.
She stood up looking at her pocket watch, she grabbed all her books.
"I would love to chat and all but I have a TON of work to do!" she said giving Trunks a peck on the cheek.
"Later" she said as she left through the door.
"Hm..." said an over-protective brother.
"Stop being such a worry wart!" said Trunks ruffling his hair.
