The boys stared at the basement door.
"Should, we....go" said Kuwa as they stared at chipped paint.
"I... guess we should come on" said Kurama taking hold of the door knob he opened tot eh door only to get an ear full of music. He clung to his ears as he proceeded down the stairs with the others.
They made it halfway down the stairs, when the song changed... someone turned it up.
Never made it as a wise man
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealin'
Tired of livin' like a blind man
I'm sick of sight without a sense of feelin

They made it to the ground to feel plastic underneath their feet; they turned the corner to see that the room was plastered with clear plastic.

They looked around to find that the walls were half painted, and there floating Indian style as a young girl with light blue splotched on her clothing and dark blue bandana pulling back her curly blonde hair. Her baggy jeans and dark blue tee lay flimsily on her form.

It must have been so bad
Cause living with me must have damn near killed you

Ross painted the walls with a large roller bobbing her head to the music she dipped it in paint as she made her way to the ceiling flipping on her back in the air so that she could get better access to the chipped ceiling.

As the music died down Ross whipped her forehead, leaving a trail of off white paint.
"Good look for you" said Yusuke making Ross loss balance in the air and flip upside down Indian style looking at them she fell to the ground.
"Ow" she said rubbing her head as she stood up. She went to the stereo and turned it down.
"What are you doing here" she said still rubbing her head as she looked at Hiei quickly and then back at the group in general... no one caught her action.
"Well uh.... What are you doing?" said Yusuke trying to avert from the question.
"Im painting genius... I promised I would fix a hole I made and decided the whole place needed to be fixed up" she said shrugging her shoulders.
"O" he said as there was an awkward silence.
"So uh what are you all doing here" she said scratching her head as she went to the bathroom to clean her brushes.
"Uh well..."
"You know if my brother sent you here to check on me you can go and tell him im just fine" she said interrupting Kuwa.
"No... actually that's not it" said Kurama as she poked her head out of the bathroom.
"Then what is it?" she said as he looked around uneasily.
~ Ross POV~
I look around the room to see they are hiding from me, I hate that!
What is this some kind of joke?
I look over at Hiei and feel my heart skip a beat. I move my head back into the bathroom. Why am I such a girl? He can't like me and besides I can't just... get into that now I would have to... but he's just so cute and... GHA! What am I saying I only kissed him once... but HE did kiss me once also... no no way that was an accident Im sure he just wants his cloak back... That's right!!! His cloak that's what they're here for!
I dry my brushes and walk back out to see them still feeling a bit uneasy... its not like its something else than just a stupid cloak besides he wouldn't tell them something like that would he??
~ End of POV~
"So..." said Ross putting her brushes away.
"It's Jewels" said Hiei making Ross drop the brush bucket.
"Wh... what do you mean?" she said as she kept her back to them not to show her weakness.
"She's been kidnapped-" Kuwa wasn't able to finish his sentence... Ross had taken him by the throat and slammed him against the door, her eyes a threatening red. She growled.
"Who kidnapped her" she growled out angrily... she shad surprised the guys... she never lost her temper like this before but then again... she was just a time bomb.
"We... don't know that's why... Koenma told us to get you... he said you would be the only one that could find out" Kuwa chocked out as he turned purple.
She let go and turned around clenching her fists.
"Ross... Im sure she'll be alright" said Yusuke as she lowered her head.
"This is all...my fault... I left her to keep her safe... what have I done" she said as Kurama walked up behind her putting a hand on her shoulder.
"She'll be fine you did the right thing...we don't even know why she was kidnapped" he said as she growled and jerked from his grasp going into her closet taking out a bag she flung clothes and such into the canvas army bag.
"Well" she said looking at them angrily.
"What are you just standing there for go pack, we don't have all day" she said as they nodded and went out the door knowing she didn't mean to be so cold.
She sighed and turned back to the closet her back to the door, she took in a ragged breath as she stuffed her journal in the bag and felt a hand in her shoulder. She turned quickly only to be met by crimson eyes.
Her breath was caught in her throat as her mind fought to think.
'What am I doing?' thought Hiei as he stared at the girl before him.
"Uh... oh yeah I think I have your cl-" she was cut off by Hiei pulling her close to him; he looked down at her as she blushed lightly.
"Im sorry about Jewels Rossy" he said as Ross growled and pulled away angry at even the though of it.
"I can't believe it I mean who would want to kidnap her" she said going into her closet and pulling something from the top shelf... she came back out to where Hiei stood and held out her hand which held his cloak.
"Sorry... I... guess I took it with me by accident" she said as Hiei took it and nodded, he then grabbed her by the wrist and embraced her... wait WHAT!!!
'He's... hugging me' though Ross as she put her arms around him hesitantly.
"Hiei I-" she was cut off by his finger on her lips.
"I have to tell you something" he said bringing her closer to him they were only an inch apart ... she could feel his hot breath tickle her nose... she blushed at the thought-
"Hey we're back" screamed Yusuke's voice from the stairs, Hiei growled and they broke apart and went back to look like they were busy.
"You guys ready?" said Yusuke as Ross zipped her bag.
"Yeah, let's go" she said throwing it over her shoulder and going up the stairs they all followed.
