Ross walks slowly into her front door, shutting it behind her she trudged up the stairs; she passed the living room throwing her keys on the table. She went into the kitchen and opens the fridge.
"Oh don't mind me" she mumbled to Gotein and his girlfriend making out at the kitchen table.
She sighed and closed the fridge door drinking out of the milk carton; she walked past them and goes down the stairs.
"Im taking a shower Gotein" she said as he waved his hand to busy with his date.
"Oh hey Ross you have a message or something" he said as Ross raised a brow.
"Alright thanks" she said making her way down stairs.
"Ross.... Hey you're that girl Trunks was going out with didn't he dump you or something?" she said as Ross felt her ears turn red.
"Goodnight Gotein" she said slamming the door.

Ross dropped her bag on the ground and went to the window opening it to let in so fresh spring air, she went to the phone and pressed the red flashing button as she popped one of her heart pills.
-Beep- So I found your residence that's good... I hope to see you soon my dear, we have a lot of catching up to do. -Beep-
Ross froze at that voice; it sent chills down her spine. She erased the message quickly knowing it would haunt her nightmares.
She turned away from the phone, to the empty wall and raised her hand to her mouth and then felt a hand on her shoulder. She jerked and pulled out her pocket knife holding it to the intruder's neck; she felt her heart flutter when she realized who it was.
"Hiei... you scared me" she said slowly as she put the knife away. He raised a brow. "What's wrong with you Onna?" he asked harshly as she smiled wearily.
"... nothing why?" she asked as he crossed his arms.
"You're acting odd" he said as Ross smiled.
"Well that shouldn't surprise you, when have I EVER acted normal?" she asked as he smirked.
"Can't argue with that" he said as she smiled and pulled a piece of his hair, Hiei grumbled and wrapped his arm around her waist kissing her warmly.
He let go, Ross felt her cheeks and ears go red as she blushed he smirked knowing he was the only one that could make her blush.
"What are you doing here I thought you were suppose to be at Mukuro's" said Ross lifting a brow.
"She said I should take a few days off" he said as Ross smiled and kissing him quickly she moved from his hold and went to the bathroom turning on the hot water.
"Im gonna take a bath I've had a... rough day" she said kissing him as he raised a brow.
"That means you have to leave" she said chuckling as she pointed to her window he grumbled and went to leave.
"You're no fun" he said as she laughed.
"Yeah but I'll be clean I'll see you tomorrow, Im going to Kurama's we're having a meeting thing" she said as he gave a 'hn'
"I knew you would agree" she said kissing him lovingly.
"Whatever it is that's bothering you I WILL find out" he said before disappearing. Ross sighed and closed her window as she drew the curtains.
"That's what im worried about" she said warily as she made her way to the bathroom.

Ross sat down; the whole gang was there as Kurama shut the door after letting her in. Ross sat away from Hiei as he grumbled a bit knowing if it weren't for the others she wouldn't have to.
"Alright well Koenma has given us a new mission" said Botan opening the folder.
"It seems there's been a powerful life source lurking around lately... but that's about as much as we know" she said as Yusuke grumbled.
"YOU MEAN THAT'S ALL WE HAVE TO GO ON!" he said as Ross stiffened a bit Hiei took notice.
"Ross maybe you should" Kurama was cut off by Ross death glare.
"What??" asked Botan
"Nothing it's not important" she mumbled standing up and going to Kurama's kitchen for something to drink. (Yeah I do that at my friend's houses all the time ^^)
"What is it fox?" said Hiei a bit concerned though he wouldn't show it.
"Marshall is back" he said as everyone dropped their jaws.
"Aw... man that's no good" said Yusuke
"Wait I thought she killed him?" said Kuwa as Ross came back in with a soda she looked at the group and raised a brow.
"You told them didn't you?" she said as Kurama smiled uneasily.
"What would make you think that I mean..."
"Kurama I can read your mind don't lie to me its no use" she said taking a sip of her soda.
"Wait I didn't know you could read minds?" said Yusuke.
"Great way to change the subject isn't it" she said taking another sip.
"So.... Why weren't you gonna tell us?" asked Kuwa as Ross crushed the can.
"Because... because.... I don't know just because" she said not being able to answer the question she stood up.
"Well I gotta go... job you know" she said going to the door.
"He must know" said Botan as Ross had her hand on the door knob.
"Know what?" she asked as Botan put her hands before her face.
"OH nothing nothing at all" she said as Ross growled.
"Botan..." she growled as Botan felt a sweat-drop form.
"Uh well... about your power I mean you're almost 16 and... heh heh that means the amethyst stone is going to get stronger" she said as Ross stared at the door blankly.
"WAIT YOU ARE THE PROTECTOR!" screamed Elaine in shock she hid behind Kurama.
"Yes... I.... gotta go" said Ross opening the door to the pouring rain shut it behind her with a sharp snap.

Ross walked in the pouring rain her head lowered to the ground, flashbacks of Marshals treatment to her flashed through her mind and she felt hot tears run down her face.
'Am I going... to have to go back to the way I was?' she thought as she lifted her head to the cold shower.
"WHY WON'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" she screamed clenching her fists.
"Why..." she said lowering her head feeling as if she was gonna sink into the ground.
"Ah!" she said as she colasped a hand to her heart kneeling down in the mud she grimanced.
'Damn body can't take all this energy im producing' she thought as she felt another surge of pain.
"AH!!!" she screamed falling to the ground in excruciating pain... the whole world swirling in an oblivion as another wave came around making everything disappear before her.

"IS she going to be ok mama?" said a child's voice as a cold compress was pressed against Ross' head.
"I don't know honey" said a familiar feminine voice.
Ross opened one eye; she looked up to see Bulma's worried face.
"Oh thanks hevens you're OK" she said as Ross opened her other eye with a confused expression.
"Huh? What happened?" she asked as she tried to sit up but was pushed back down by Bulma's firm hand.
"You went unconscious thanks kami for that friend of yours... who knows what would have happened" she said as Ross looked around for this so called friend.
"WHO?" she asked as Bulma smiled.
"A really cute spiky black haired boy, he's upstairs taking shower he was covered with mud" she said as Ross groaned.
"Great... im sure he's gonna pound me for this one" she said sitting up slowly.
"You really should get some rest, I'll call your mother and-"
"NO don't... she doesn't need to worry about me" she said rubbing her head. Vegeta was leaning against the wall as Bra went to hug her father's leg.
Hiei came into view with his arms crossed and a stern expression on his face.
"Good you're alive" he said as Ross sighed.
"Yeah... you mad?" she asked as Hiei hned.
"Depends on what you're talking about" he said as Ross sighed.
"About... me not telling you?" she asked as Hiei glared at her.
"What about you not telling me you were sick, or not tell me that HE is coming back" he said as Ross lay back down.
"I knew you'd be pissed" she said as he looked down at her.
"I'll get over it" he said as she smiled.
'Wait... what, are you two talking about?" asked Bulma confused.
"And who is this HE person?" she asked as Ross looked at the ceiling.
"Don't worry I'll deal with it it's not important" she said as Bulma crossed her amrs.
"ROSSALYNN LEE SON DON'T LIE TO ME!" she yelled as Hiei raised a brow.
"Your middle name is lee?" he asked as Ross glared at him.
"No really... Bulma I'll be alright" she said as Bulma huffed.
"Why didn't you tell us that you were sick?" asked Vegeta as Ross sighed.
"My mother already treats me like a porcelain doll, it would be even worse if you did to... just because I have a heart problem" she said as Vegeta analyzed her.
"A heart problem so that's it" he said as Ross sighed.
"Yes... please don't tell my parents or anyone I mean I have it under control really" she said as Hiei gave her a sideways glance.
"Is that way you passed out in the middle of the road?" he asked as Ross growled.
"That's beside the point!" she yelled.
"I believe that is the problem" he said as Ross glared angrily at him.
"Well if it wasn't for you" said Bulma thankfully.
"Yeah for him following me" mumbled Ross as Hiei glared at her.
"Anyways dear your name is..." said Bulma turning to Hiei.
"Hn... Hiei" he said as Bulma smiled.
"Well Hiei you are more than welcome to stay here for a few days till Ross recuperates we have more than enough room" she said as Ross snapped her head in Bulma's direction.
"Recuperate wait what you mean you're gonna keep me hostage here!" she said as Bulma crossed her arms.
"That's right and if you're smart you take this time to think up a way to tell the others" She said as Ross growled and crossed her arms.
Hiei nodded to Bulma signaling he would stay.
