*Preface*
"Well Hiei you are more than welcome to stay here for a few days till Ross recuperates we have more than enough room" she said as Ross snapped her head in Bulma's direction.
"Recuperate wait what you mean you're gonna keep me hostage here!" she said as Bulma crossed her arms.
"That's right and if you're smart you take this time to think up a way to tell the others" She said as Ross growled and crossed her arms.
Hiei nodded to Bulma signaling he would stay.

Ross curled up in the warm sheets around her as she thought about the day's events
'What would Marshall Want with me anyways... revenge?' she thought as she looked out her window to see Hiei resting soundly in a tree next to it.
'I hate to bring him into this again he already suffered... damn im nothing but trouble' she thought as her eyelids became heavy she felt herself slip from reality as sleep over.
~Dream~
"Now say it" said a harsh voice as Ross grumbled on the floor dirt covering her face she her arms were tied behind her.

"Oh still not talking you bitch... well we'll fix that and teach you NEVER to run because it has dire consequences" he said as she groaned in pain

Ross lay in her pit as the wind blew her mangled hair; she looked up at the sky dreaming of a painted picture connecting the dots into the fantasies she wished would come true a mother who loved her, a father that was there a heart she had so long forgotten. She knew they were just meaningless dribble but they gave her... hope.
~End of Dream~
Ross felt warm tears stream down her face but something was... wiping them away she opened one eye to see Hiei looking down at her with concern.
"You're crying woman" he said ruffling his brow.
Ross sat up and wiped the rest on her sleeve.
"Oh... so I am" she said as Hiei looked down at her.
"You're scared of him aren't you" he said as she darted her head up at him.
"NO!" she said as he raised a brow.
"Alright.... Well... maybe a little" she said as she felt a new wave run down her tinged cheeks.
Hiei sat on the bed and pulled her into his chest, she felt like just letting it all out there was something about him that... she trusted.
"Oh He I just want... a normal life I just want to be left alone if only for a second I want to be happy" she said s she cried in his ebony shirt.
He was surprised she felt so upset about it why hadn't she said anything earlier?
"He won't get you" he said as she wiped her face and looked at him confused.
"What? What do you mean-" she was cut off by his lips, he let go and moved a piece of fallen hair.
"I said he's not going to get you Onna, so stop worrying and get some sleep" he said as Ross only nodded, was he... protecting her?
Hiei stood up and went to go to the tree.
"Wait-" she said grabbing his arm he looked over at her.
"Um can you... stay with me tonight?" she asked her cheeks tinged scarlet.
Hiei felt his face heat up as he nodded and went to take off his shoes; Ross smile and wrapped her arms around his shoulders
"Thank you" she said kissing him lightly as he took off his shirt and climbed in, Ross laid her head on his chest listening to the molasses beat of his heart.
She snuggled in closer and breathed out a hot breath onto his bare chest.
"I love you...." She mumbled as sleep caught hold of her frail body.
Hiei felt butterflies in his stomach at the words here he was sleeping in the same bed with the woman he loved and he was confessing that she loved him as well... but was it just instinct or a mistake.
"I love you too" he said as, he let sleep conquer him, he really knew.... She did love him but was he lying to himself for saying the same.
