Ross felt something warm by her, then the events of last night swam through her memory, she opened one of her eyes to see Hiei sleeping peacefully his arms wrapped securely around her as if she would fly away without his embrace.
Ross smiled warmly to herself then she remembered mumbling last night.
'Did I...' she thought as Hiei grumbled and pulled her closer to him.
'What... did I say...' she thought as she moved from the sleeping fire demon.
"Oh man" she thought outloud as she stepped into the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror.
"What am I so afraid of... he did say it back... didn't he?" she thought to herself as she looked back at her bed to realize it was empty.
"Oh no..." she said knowing that he had just realized what was happening.
"He doesn't..." she thought as she felt a tear fall down her cheek.
'I better get ready' she thought as she went to change.

Hiei raced through the woods feeling as if he had just made the worst mistake of his life.
"Damnit what is it about that Onna" he thought as he was stopped by a familiar energy.
He jumped down from his tree and looked to his right.
"Come out fox" he said as Kurama moved from the brush.
"I see something's troubling you" he said Kurama as Hiei huffed.
"Hn"
"You love her don't you" said Kurama making Hiei snap his head in the fox's direction.
"I don't know what you're talking about" he said as Kurama sighed.
"Ross... you love her don't you Hiei" he said as Hiei grumbled.
"Love is worthless" he said as Kurama tilted his head.
"Give it a chance" he said as Hiei glared at him.
"What do you know you still have your mate" he said as Kurama softened his expression.
"Is that what this is about...Hiei you know that-"
"Save it fox, you DON'T know anything about this" he said jumping into a tree.
"Well I know that my sister would want you to be happy!" he yelled as he felt Hiei's energy signal fade.

Ross yawned as she sat at her desk, it had been about a week since she had her spell, Bulma had been gracious enough to let her stay at Capsule Corp. Ross left a few days later deciding it would be in their best interest if she didn't lead any unwelcome guests to her links.
She had told them that she was going home but instead camped at her brother's old cave. She kept her distance from Goten and Trunks she was sure someone was looking for her by now but until Marshall was found things would have to stay this way for their best benefit.
Hiei never came back after that morning she figured he went back to Makai.
-BEEP-
Ross sighed as she put her books away and packed her bag.
"Friday" she thought out loud as she made her way down the hall.
"ROSS!" screamed someone down the hall Ross turned to see Yusuke as students scattered, knowing that he was a delinquent at a neighboring school.
"Hey? What are you doing here?" she asked as Yusuke caught up and bent down breathing hard.
"I tried to call you but your mom said you hadn't come home... she actually seemed kinda worried." He said as Ross raised a brow.
"Are you skipping again?" she asked as Yusuke grinned.
"I think of it as... taking a mental health day" he said as Ross rolled her eyes.
"So anyways... everything alright?" he asked as Ross kept an emotionless face.
"Yep" she said as Yusuke raised a brow.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes im sure, is that what you came here for to hassle me?"
"Well... no I heard that you were sick-"
Ross threw her hands in the air.
"WHAT IS THIS, IM FINE AND IF EVERYONE WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL TO STAY THE FUCK OUT OF MY BUSNIESS I WOULD BE TEN TIMES GREATER THANKYOU" she screamed getting some looks.
"Oh fuck you go back to your insignificant lives" she said as he turned around quickly gossiping about her uroar.
"I give up" Ross mumbled going faster as she went down the stairs.
"Hey wait up!" said Yusuke going after her.
'What" said Ross turning around
"I... was just..."
"Look its not important im fine and you can go tell Kurama that was well which im sure he is the one that told you... just go" said Ross going out the door and disappearing in the crowd.

Ross grumbled as she entered the cave turning on the stereo to some rock as she entered.
'Why won't he just show his face' she thought as she thought about how irritated the situation made her.
Then she felt something grab her from behind harshly, she felt cold metal against her throat as the figured grinned from behind her.
"Hello my dear" he said as Ross stiffened under the imposer's hold.
"I see you remember me" he said as she growled.
"Ah yes...did you think I wouldn't find you" he said as she held her breath afraid she might trigger the blow.
"HOW PATHEITC DO YOU TAKE ME AS!" he screamed hitting her upside the head making her crash into the ground in pain.
He aimed his pistol at her head; she heard a click as the world once again came into focus.
"You sniveling piece of snot!" he screamed kicking her in the face making her skid into the cave wall.
"HOW DARE YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL ME BITCH!" he screamed as Ross looked through one eye.
"You think you could outsmart me by leaving your family once again... pathetic and to think you thought you could kill me" he said angrily pushing the pistol closer to her.
"Go to hell" said Ross making the man grin.
"I see you are speaking...the silent treatment not work for you" he said a she growled and kicked him swiftly in the shin making him holler in pain.
"You little-" he shot the pistol at her as she scooted up the ground dodging the bullets.
Marshall growled and stopped before firing his last bullet.
"I'll save this one... for later" he said as Ross felt blood leave her slit lip.
He knelt down to her level and grinned evilly. "I heard you quit swordsmanship... that you quit fighting... maybe I should go and visit your family a visit" he said as Ross screamed and went to ring his neck he grabbed her by the hair and yanked her forcefully to her feet bringing his lips to her ear.
"I think I'll save this bullet for that pathetic bastard you call a father" he said as Ross growled.
"You think that will kill him you're pathetic" she said as he yanked her harder.
"It can and it will you just wait and see... then maybe I'll use the rest as target practice" he said laughing harshly as he disappeared from site leaving a frantic beaten Ross in its waits.

"I swear she said she was going home" said Bulma her eyes filled with tears.
"Well mom said she hasn't seen her all week" said Gohan as Goku sighed and rubbed the back of his head.
"Well who's looking where?" he said as Vegeta growled "I bet it was that boy" he said as everyone looked over at him.
"What boy?" asked Gohan.
"Hiei or whatever his name is, she left a day or so after he did" said Vegeta as Bulma shook her head.
"I just can't see that happening" she said as Vegeta growled at her.
"Well what do you think Onna she was abducted by aliens!" he yelled as Bulma growled.
"Well she is half saiyan"
"And what in kami does that mean!" yelled Vegeta as the door knob began to turn slowly.
Ross opened the door to see the room filled with shocked faces, Yamcha, Krillen, her father... everyone either this was a party or about her.
She wore a pair of baggy black pants, her combat boots and an army green tee-shirt that clung to her slightly her hair was in a high pony tail she had a black eye and her face as bruised from Marshall's assault.
"No need" she said closing the door.
"Im here" she said dropping her bag.
"AND WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN AND WHAT IN KAMI HAPPENED TO YOU!" screamed Gohan was Ross raised a hand for him to stop shouting.
"Im fine" she said walking into the kitchen as letting the swinging door swish behind her.
-KNOCK-
Trunks opened the door to see a man in uniform he raised a brow.
"Oh can I help you..." he said as the man entered.
"Yes Im looking for a cadet" he said as everyone looked at him like he was nuts.
"Well im Sir I don't think anyone here would know-" Trunks was stopped by a growl at the front door, he turned to see Hiei glaring daggers at the man the gang behind him.
"Uh..." said Trunks a bit confused.
Ross walked out of the Kitchen stopping in bid step.
"So I see you took my advice" said Marshall ignoring Hiei and the others as he went over to Ross circling her as she clenched her teeth.
"I see you still wear these" eh said jerking her dog tags from her neck shuffling them in his hands.
"Pathetic" he said as she stared ahead at a spot on the wall not moving.
"YOU'RE A CADET! SO THAT'S WHERE YOU'VE BEEN!" screamed Trunks shocked Ross didn't move.
Hiei clenched his teeth 'I promised' he thought as Ross didn't move her gaze.
"Oh where did you get that shiner?" asked Marshal as Ross swiftly slammed him into the wall bringing her pocket knife to his throat, even though she was smaller than him she had found a way to be at eye level.
"FUCK YOU! HOW DARE YOU COME HERE AND THREATEN MY FAMILY YOU BASTARD!" screamed Ross digging the blade further into his neck.
"I refuse to have you around here and threatening to hurt my family as a plot to get me to do what you want, what do you take me as stupid!" She said through clenched teeth.
"I've spent enough nights in that hole to know you're nothing but the finger behind the trigger you have the power but you don't have the strength" she said glaring holes into his soul.
"So just give up, unless you wanna die by the hands of a cadet in front of all these people" Whispered Ross loudly as she took the pendant from her neck and transformed it into her katana, the gem glistened on the handle as Ross brought it to his throat.
"You haven't used that in over a year" he said grinning Ross just smirked.
"What you wanna see if I lost my touch?" she said pushing it towards his throat.
"You don't have the guts" he said as she raised a brow.
"Oh I don't well let's see I've done it once what makes you think I won't do it again?" she growled as he went to kick her feet from under her Ross jumped swiftly as he went to punch her she dodged followed by a blinding light, she landing on the ground on the tip of her blade balancing she jumped onto her feet as Marshal fell on the ground with a thud his body limb and a gash in his side.
Ross gave a Hn and seethed her sword taking out her dell phone, she looked behind her to see everyone's mouths hanging open.
"Hello Botan"
"Hey I need some clean up duty I have Marshall here and... of no he's not dead I just... yeah sure right now is fine I can tie him up if ya want he won't be getting up anytime soon... ten minutes yeah sure alright later" said Ross closer her cell phone as she turned to see everyone staring at her.
"It's a long story" she said as she turned Kurama.
"Hey Kurama can you tie him up or something with your rose whip?" she asked as he nodded and went to tie the fallen brute.
Ross sighed and went to the kitchen to whip the blood from her sword.
Everyone looked at each other shocked and filed in.
"OK AND WHAT THE HELL WS THAT!" screamed Gohan shocked.
"That" said Ross going to sheathing her now clean sword and turning around.
"Was self-defense" she said as the stared at her.
"And... an... and you know how to use a sword and an..." Goten was a t a loss of words.
"Yes... I know how to use a katana" said Ross
"Well why didn't you tell us you could or about him or ANYTHING!" screamed Goten angry.
"It wasn't important... so I can use a sword big deal" she said as Hiei gave a 'hn'
"Please onna you and I both know you're one of the best swordsman in all of Makai and this world" he said as Ross glared at him.
"Was... I was one of the best not anymore" she said going into the living room.
"So why don't you fight me and see how good you are, if you use some of the moves you did in there you might be a valued adversary" he said as Ross looked at him and smirked.
"Whatever" she said shrugging and going out to help Kurama.
"What was that light about?" said Krillen as Hiei chuckled.
"That was the blow, Ross slashed him in the shoulder and then twice in the side" said Hiei as they looked at him like he was nuts.
"You mean you could see that?" said Kuwa as Hiei smirked.
"Yes fool" he said
"Hey shut up shrimp!" he yelled as Yusuke just shook hishead.
"You two should be married I swear" he said going into the living room as Kuwa and Hiei looked at him disgusted.

"Yeah and why didn't she say she was in the army?" said Krillen.
"I didn't want to relive it is all" said Ross coming back in.
"And besides he wasn't worth your worry" she said as they looked at her.
"I can't believe you're a swordsman that's so wicked" said Elaine as Ross grinned.
"Leave it to you to make a bad situation good" she said as Elaine smiled full heartily.
"You know it" she said crossing her arms proudly.
Ross just laughed and shook her head.
"Look" said Ross looking over at her family and friends.
"There's no real way to explain my past... except that I've done some things im not proud of... I know I've kept a lot of things from you but it was for your own protection... I just don't want my past following me around is all I apologize for lying" she said bowing to them.
"But I still can't tell you" she said rising from her bow and turning around.
"Just trust me" she said turning around and leaving through the kitchen doors.
"Don't worry" said Kuwa looking over at her puzzled family.
"We don't get her either" he said as the door swung slowly
