Disclaimer: Aragorn belongs to Arwen, I have their marriage certificate if you don't believe me. Other rangers belong to somebody who is not me.

"Rangers, who needs them?"

Every day we risk our lives for others
Battling orcs to protect the local towns and villages.
And the lives of those within
They take my kind for granted.
Rangers, who needs them?

They cannot know the danger they are in,

They wouldn't be able to cope

And so we protect them in secret

And the people wonder
Rangers, who needs them?

Descendants of the great kings,

We are the dunadane,

Those "blessed with long life"
what is left of the greatness of men

Rangers, who needs them?

Charged double, even triple for what we need,

Getting paid next to nothing for all our work,

Risking our own lives everyday

Insulted or ignored in any human town

Rangers, who needs them?

I am one of them, Aragorn is my name.

I have lived the rangers life,

And now as I take my rightful place as king

I remember my past and those who looked down at me,
and said "Rangers, who needs them" and laugh.

They will learn the mistake that they made.

Author's note: I'm in a writing mood today. I've already written a chapter of one story and a short story! And now I've written this poem. Sorry if it sucks! Review anyway but no flames please.
