Dignity Lost
Slowly, they were regaining their dignity and their faith in themselves.
CJ remembered that she had a powerful voice and a large platform; to let it be mindlessly mimicking the words of others would be failing herself, the President, and the American people.
Josh had become so jaded that he allowed himself to think in abstractions and deals with Congress. In doing so, he managed to cut out the part of himself that was a good governor; a vicious cycle that took a couple about to lose their jobs to break.
And Leo watched on as they painfully relearned these lessons.
