Title: That Fateful Tuesday

Author: Me

Warning: Deals with 9/11

A/N: this story is based on a poem I wrote after reading "Chicken Soup for the Soul of America".

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey, boss, you remember a Tuesday, about three years back?"
"Yeah, sure, Tony. Why do you ask?"
"I was just wondering…"
"Wondering what?"
"If you had been there, when it all happened, what would you have done?"
"I honestly don't know. I might have tried to help, stood in shock, knelt to pray. What would you have done, that fateful Tuesday?"
A/N: Here is my poem: "Fateful Tuesday"
What would you have done,
that fateful Tuesday?,
What would you have done,
that cloudless day?,
Would you have helped?,
Would you have prayed?,
Stood in shock?,
as those Twin Towers swayed?,
I honestly can't say,
what I would have done,
neither can you,
but what's done is done.
Had I been older,
I could have picked up a gun,
signed up for a war,
that had begun,
as soon as those planes,
opened their doors.
