Okay, 3rd fic, 2nd DBZ. Once again returning to the subject of Gohan and
Goten and fatherhood... but this one is really really short. Kind of stupid
too though. What can I say, I was bored. Besides, I was reading a lot of
angst... and I thought, well they had to be happy SOME time didn't they? So
heres a happy, pointless moment.
Flames welcome. I have no self esteem anyway.
do not own DBZ, Gohan (I wish. If I did he would never grow up to be a nerd), ChiChi (I wish. If I did she would never force Gohan to be a nerd) or Goten (I wish. If I did he would do everything in his power to prevent Gohan from growing up to be a nerd).
My Little Family
Holding tightly unto his hands I spin around and around. His feet lift from the ground as the winds picks up his light form.
"Faster, Gohan! Faster!" he laughs.
With a grin I spin faster and faster, so that he is flying completely horizontally around me. His laughs echo off the wind as my arms pull him around. The world blurs and mixes, leaving only me and him in focus. As if we are the only things that truly exist.
"Whoa, Gohan. Too fast!" he almost groans through his giggling.
With a soft laugh, I slow down, and his form slowly lowers until he is able to touch the ground. Placing him on his feet I watch him teeter back and forth before he wobbles and falls onto his bottom with an 'oomph'. I laugh again. I am nearly unaffected by it, feeling only the slightest wave of dizziness. I knew it came from chasing the animals in circles when I was younger. I used to do anything to keep myself occupied, especially if it was not studying.
Mom sticks her head out of the house. "Gohan, Goten, dinner!" she calls.
Goten jumps up hurriedly, but when he goes to rush inside he runs crookedly before toppling sideways. Still laughing softly I grab his leg and pick him up as I walk by.
"Come on, Squirt."
He giggles dizzily. "Thanks, dad."
I pause for a third of a second, before continuing in my step. He's done this before, call me 'dad' I mean. I knew it was the television and Trunks who even gave him the idea of a 'dad'. I sort of understand how he could slip, and I've told him I wasn't before.
But for once, I don't correct him.
