"You know, you have no idea what you are getting yourself into, joining cheerleading," Charlie said, trying to talk me out of cheerleading "I mean things could happen."

I rolled my eyes, why did Julie have to tell the whole team? "Look, nothing's going to happen, I..." I stopped as I saw a blue envelope in my bag? Wait! How come so many people have access to my bag?

"Who's it from?" Charlie asked curiously.

I shrugged and opened the envelope.

I read its contents out loud "Welcome to Eden Hall and making the cheerleading squad, the..." I couldn't believe it, I must have read it wrong, but I could see the same expression on Charlie's face.

"The Varsities?!" Charlie and I said at the same time.

"Like I said...... things". I ignored Charlie. First they try to bash me up, and then they send me a welcome note, what kind of sick, demented team was this?! (The Varsities I mean)

"So you got the note," said a suave looking guy "The name's Tom"

I reached out to shake his hand but Charlie pushed it aside. I shot Charlie a threatening glare but he ignored it.

"What do you want?" Charlie asked, but what he really meant was: Get lost if you want your life!

Tom managed to see Charlie's point and backed off. "Hey, why not you have lunch with us?" he asked me as he left.

"Sure" I said quickly before Charlie could open his mouth to argue. He waved and vanished into the crowd.

"What were you thinking?"

"Look its called being polite" I replied angrily.

"But they are going to humiliate you the same way they humiliated the ducks," Charlie argued back and told me the story at the restraunt. "And they too said it was a 'welcome' dinner" Charlie added

"They did it to you once so why would they be stupid enough to do it to me? Plus I won't be far away, you can" I gave a very disgusted look "watch out for me" As much as I hated to ask him to watch out for me, it was probably the only way to convince him to let me go.

The lunch bell rang and I walked towards the Varsities. I could see Charlie's head stick out and staring at me. I looked away from him and tried to ignore him.

"Charlie, what are you doing? You look like Adam when there are scouts in the grandstands" Ken said jokingly.

"Jean with Varsities" Charlie said, still focusing on the Varsity table.

"She's what?" the Ducks said in chorus. Most of them stood up to take a closer look. I could see their heads poking out I tried to hide my face from the Ducks. This was embarrassing!

"What's Jean doing with the Varsities?" Portman asked, hoping that the reason would allow him to bash the Varsities.

They all leaned towards Charlie as he told them the WHOLE story, and before I knew, I could see all of them staring at my direction. This was going to be a very long lunch.

I waved goodbye to the Varsities after lunch. Ha! I survived! I waked over to my locker to get my English books.

I rubbed my arm as I looked at my locker. I am not going to get used to this. The last time I threw my body weight onto that stupid locker, I think I nearly dislocated my arm.

"Need help?" Adam asked politely.

I smiled angelically and nodded my head. The locker door swung open and I grabbed my English books and closed my locker door.

"So! How was your lunch with the Varsities?" He asked as we were walking to class.

"It was okay, they're nice" I replied, I wanted to rub it in, but it would seem too mean. He smiled; I could tell he was guilty for doubting the Varsities.

"Hey, do you wanna go to the rink with me today? I just felt like going," I said, trying to break him out of 'guilt zone'

"Sure," Adam said "See you there at 8?" I nodded my head, seeing Adam's gleaming face. ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* Writer's note: I think this chapter is more reader-friendly then the other two, love you all for reading my story you rock!
