White snow covered the ground. Me my Companion everything was white, and it was peaceful. Till that arrow hit me in the chest. Rekell screamed and turned to bolt in the opposite direction. She wouldn't have stop running till she saw me to a healer if they had put an arrow into her right hind leg while she was distracted with me. Oh, I'm rather impressed the timing, to shoot me then my Companion right after, is a sure way to slow down an Herald. All of which bring me to this point, both of us stumbling down the trail at barely a walk, with a... a figure in green in the distances....

A white horse stumbled into the clearing in to see a distant figure hang seeming like a dead body from a branch before dropping into the snow. The green of the figures coat was instantly visible against the snow as it settled around her legs. And the figure started to stand, but the rider on the horse's back choose that moment to groan and fall off. The figure whirled at the sound and began running towards them, just the horse started to fall too. She knelt beside the pair, green coat spend behind her, checking the human first. Turning the rider over gently "Well, well, looks like a found one of my arrows. The question is what to do about it?" she sighed and gently touched the black fletched arrow. She traced a line of black ink in a curving path down to the white jerkin and lifted it a little and cursed. Putting that back down against the wound she turned to the horse. The animal stirred a little at the first touch but made no other move. The girl reached over and touched the arrow, lightly. Her hand shifted it's grip around the shaft, figures pointing in varies direction leaving a glowing path behind them. Which formed a rune at it's appearance she flatten her hand against the shaft and pushed lightly. The rune glowed brighter and vanished, and girl smiled. She then tighten her grip around the arrow and pulled. The arrow came out cleanly but the horse jerked in sudden pain and jumped to her...it's feet. "Good." She walked slowly toward the head and slowly rapped her hand around one of the rains beside the bridal. "Shh, its okay. Its okay shhhh, shhh. Good horse. Now just stand there" the girl patted the horse's nose. "Okay now, we need some shelter. Good thing I know this land. What?" she spun in place but there wasn't anything but snow in sight. She sighed and knelt down in the snow again next to the rider, whom she pulled first to a sitting position, then slowly onto the horse. That seemed to move to help her but that was impossible right it's just a horse "Oh well." With rider settled on the horse she began to lead the animal across the field and into a valley. Which housed a cave big enough for all if the horse lay down again.

Two brown eyes opened, the rider jerked up only to fall back down. "Be careful, I can't do anything about the arrow yet." Another voice said moving around the fire. "You're really lucky, if that arrow had got a little to the left I would be able to do anything, ma---ma- what's that?" She turned suddenly searching the roof of the cave for something. "Oh well" she said slowly still glancing at the roof over her shoulder. "I you to do something for me." The rider said looking up at the strange girl "Something very important, just like a Herald would? Can you do that child?" Her eyes flash briefly at the word child. But after she studying the rider for several long minutes "Maybe. Depends on what you want and what I get." The rider stared back at her then reached into her pouch and pulled out three silver coins "All this now, and after you deliver my message" She handed over a small leather case. "And the same amount again after you deliver it."
The girl weight the coins in her hand and then looked at the road "I assume you want this to go the nearest town"
"Yes."
"Alright I'll do it."
