My first zoid fic, so be nice! This is a one-shot fic with a Jamie/OC pairing. Please R/R!!

Home Alone

Jamie sat quietly on the couch. He rarely got to read, so he took the chance while he had it. Whether it was cleaning up a mess made by his teammates, or thinking up battle strategies, he got little time to do what he wanted. Fortunately, he had the house to himself. Brad was off somewhere with Naomi, Doc was out searching for new Zoid models, and Bit and Leena were God knows where. The house was completely quiet, making it the perfect time to read.
"Hey, Jamie." he nearly jumped a foot in the air. He forgot 'she' was home. She giggled alittle.
"Hi, Yuki." he said, suddenly uncomfortable.
"What are you reading?"
"Spartacus." he said simply.
The girl's eyes sprakled. "Really?" she asked exitedly. "Mind if I read with you?"
"I halfway through. Are you sure you won't be lost?"
She laughed a little. "I've read the book.... twice. I've also watched the movie countless times."
"Okay." she plopped down beside him. He moved the book closer to her, hoping it would put some distance between them. Of coarse, Yuki---not taking the hint---moved closer to him. Much closer than nececary. He blushed furiously. "Ummm.............." was all he managed to get out. She looked up at him, her eyes twinkling.
The look on his face was quite comical. She stiffled a laugh. "Whats the matter?" too late. She burst out laughing.
"Whats so funny?" he asked defensively.
"You." she said. "You look cute when you blush like that." she smiled alittle. He opened his mouth to say something, but no sound came out. She put a finger under his chin and closed his jaw.
"Umm, Yuki..." he said, noticing how close their faces were. "Could you-"
She leaned in and pressed her lips to his. She pulled back slightly and smiled at him. "Could I what?"
"Nothing." he said. She laughed and kissed him again.

Doc walked into the base, grinning like a child at the cool Zoid models he had seen. He walked into the living room (or whatever it's called). He noticed two figures on one of the couches.
Jamie was sitting on the couch with Yuki curled up beside him. a book was laying open between them, and they were asleep. 'It's about time he got a girlfriend.' Doc thought, grinning. He covered them up with a blanket and left them alone in the room.
