Dying for Love
Sallow skin
Pitch black eyes
Living in secret
Breathing in lies
Hair like down of raven
Face so long and cold
But nevertheless clean-shaven
And a soul so very old
A heart made of steel
Eyes like reflectors
He looks like the undead
But has the power of the ressurector
Cheeks so very thin
Lips that have never held a smile
A very prominent chin
A manor that is constantly riled
A love held inside me
Captivates my heart
We are so close to often
Many times just inches apart
And yet the lines are drawn
The restriction still resides there
And until the early dawn
I sit and think what if life were fair
Just years separate our lives
Meaningless time
But fantasies are all I have
With a world so sublime
But then one day I see him
A grim look on his face
And I follow in his footsteps
Enjoying the chase
I follow him for hours
Down a dark and winding path
Just then it starts to shower
The sky dark with nature's wrath
A see a tiny circle
Of people in the rain
All wearing silver masks
As if to hide a pain
And then he falls down before me
Tears rolling down his cheeks
As I look at him in horror
I do not dare to speak
"I am just a student," I say.
But I know he will make sure
I do not live another day
Instead of the Killing Curse
He prefers that I die slow
So he shoots at me with a gun
It hurts more then anyone will know
And I lie next to the man
I have looked to for years
I lie next to the crumpled figure
Who's eyes never once held tears
And now the tears of pain fall down
With the cold and lonesome drops
And I cannot comprehend any of it
As the world seems to stop
I look at him and sit straight up
Blood gushing down my chest
I hold his head in my own lap
And say, "Lest you not forget,"
I kiss his head and gently wipe
The painful tears away
And he smiles at me for the first time
One that holds the warmth of a summer's day
And his eyes droop for the final time
And my eyes are nearly closed too
But as we both fade away I say,
"I'll never stop loving you."
