Aki started to come to. The first thing she saw was a menacing face covered in a Shinobi fighter's mask. She screamed in fear and scuttled away, only to remember the pain that resided in her side. She dug her head into the ground as she tightly wrapped her arms around her waist, her back arched to the sky. She was losing breath fast, and explosions of color flashed in her eyes. Lightheadedness started to take over her mind, making the world go topsy- turvey. Her mouth was wide open, but no sound came out.

Instead, a slow line of blood trickled out from her throat. Boy, did this suck.

(She's bleeding from the inside!) exclaimed one voice that was barely noticeable to Aki's ears.

She felt gentle gloved hands position her on her back. She noticed that her backpack wasn't on. She began to convulse from the pain of her side, plus all of the other injuries she had suffered from the fall. She had written about pain in her stories before, but she never expected it to be THIS bad.

The hands that moved her now were pinning her shoulders to stop her from moving to cause further damage to herself. She passed out from the pain, blood still dripping from her new wounds and her old ones as well from the fight between her and Corona. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kakashi loosened his grip on Aki's shoulders, and pulled out a handkerchief to wipe his hands from the blood. He scanned her with analyzing eyes. She definitely wasn't wearing any "normal" garments; her Gap jeans, Bass sandals, her skintight Cirque Du Soliel sleeveless shirt and mahogany brown Tommy Hilfinger overcoat didn't quite fit in the fashion of their time. She wore tinted green glasses, and four necklaces. One was a pentagram, another was a dragon's claw holding a marble of tourmaline, a sterling silver scarab pendant, and the last was a sterling silver Celtic dragon. She wore strange bangles, a cat ring and another Celtic dragon knot ring.

Perverted thoughts swept into his head as he did a double take of her physical shape. He shook his head furiously. Wiping away some of the blood from her, he saw something dark on her left hand. Cleaning more away, his eyes widened.

Tattooed on her palm was the Hitai- Ate Leaf emblem. Aki had always experimented on herself for new tattoo designs for her stories and character, but when she got obsessed with anime, the first tattoo she drew in permanent ink was the Hitai- Ate leaf symbol.

"This can't be..." thought Kakashi, his face becoming serious.

"Master Kakashi?" asked Sakura, "What are we going to do?"

He stayed for a moment, then with a great sigh, he stood up with Aki in his arms.

"We continue." He said, eye eyelid arched up in cheerfulness.

Some time later, they were traveling by boat through the mist to Nami No Kuni- The Land of Waves.

"Whoa! It's HUGE!!!" remarked Naruto, seeing the construction for the bridge Mr. Tazuna was appointed for.

"Quiet!" hissed the boatman, paddling quietly, "We'll be screwed if Gato caught us." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Aki, in her placid darkness heard the word "Gato" and her insides leapt. She knew where she was and what was going on, but it was all too much for her mind to handle at once. She pretended to be unconscious as Mr. Tazuna explained the true reason why he needed an escort. To hear from his own voice sounded much freakier than she had imagined when she read the pages. Wait a frickin' minute! Was SHE in the comics?!

She carefully slipped a hand, and touched her hair. She never had short bangs before in her life, and they were...pointy ended. Anime- style.

"I've been...ANIMATRIZED?!" she thought in horror and shock.
