Aki stared in horror from the ground as Kakashi and Zabuza dueled off.
Even though she knew the outcome, it was still freaky to watch.
"Any moment, now..." she thought, "He's gonna get trapped in Zabuza's water prison!! I gotta warn him!!"
She was about to call out his name, went she remembered something vital. While no one was looking, she dragged herself over to her bookbag, opened it up, and pulled out her Vol.2 of Naruto. She frantically flipped through the pages, until she found the spot. She read ahead, and it struck her: If she warns Kakashi, he'll win, and the team Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke make will not evolve and grow!!!
She was messing with fragile things that should not be. Now she knew how God felt every time he made a decision.
Sure enough, Kakashi was knocked into the water, and trapped in Zabuza's own art.
"This is when Naruto comes up with his brilliant plan!" she muttered to herself.
"What the hell are you talking about?" asked Mr. Tazuna, looking down at her with perplexity.
"Uh, nothing." She said, shaking her head, though that was a bad move because it still ached like the rest of her.
She watched with her tongue bitten down as Naruto was slammed backwards and called a brat. He realized that if he didn't run for it, this guy could seriously KILL him. He stood to get up, but his left hand jerked with pain. He then just remembered the oath he took by the kunai blade, and glared at the Doppelganger impersonating the real Zabuza. He slowly stood up, and charged for him.
"NARUTO!!!" shouted Sakura, "YOU CAN'T CHARGE HIM BY YOURSELF!!!!"
Naruto was pummeled back by the Doppelganger, and stayed still on the ground.
"Let's get outta here like Master Kakashi said." Said Sakura, turning around, "Naruto, you--"
She saw Naruto get up again, this time holding his Leaf headband.
"Hey, you," he coughed, "What's life like without eyebrows, freak?" he finished, grinning.
Zabuza's eyes went "steroid" as Aki joked every time she read certain scenes.
"This is it!" she exclaimed, her face brightening, "This is when-!"
She covered her mouth tightly. Strike two, Aki. If you screw up again, it could cost everything!
For the next two minutes, everything went fast- paced. She saw shurikens of different sizes all fly towards the real Zabuza that had Kakashi trapped. This was MUCH better than having to turn a page to see what happened next.
"Now it's time for Kakashi to kick some serious ass!" cackled Aki, enjoying herself.
"What is WITH this kid?!" thought Mr. Tazuna in bafflement, "People are risking their lives, and yet, she sees it as a fricken' game!"
Kakashi's Sharingan Eye was blazing now in contrast to his normal black one. He imitated and performed the Giant Waterfall on Zabuza, sending him soaring backwards. He was struggling to get up, while Kakashi crouched on a tree limb.
"Do you see the future?!" gasped Zabuza in steroid eyes.
"I foresee...your death!" he said in a cold tone.
"Wait a sec! This is when the Senbon come flyin' out and strike Zabuza in the neck, leaving him in a near death state!", gaped Aki in her mind, "I gotta do something. Warn him! Something! This won't affect anything, I know it!"
"KA-!" started Aki, but her side felt as though it suddenly slugged her in the gut.
She instantly jerked inward like a pillbug, the pain worsening each nanosecond that passed.
Zabuza lay dead on the ground, his eyes wide from the sudden needles that went through his neck. Kakashi bent down next to the corpse to make sure he was. No pulse, and watching from above was the Shinobi Hunter.
"WHAT I MEAN IS--" Started Naruto in frustration, "HE KILLED ZABUZA, WHO WASN'T EXACTLY A PUSHOVER, BUT STILL GOT TAKEN OUT BY A GUY WHO'S ONLY MY AGE!!! LIKE IT WAS NOTHING! WHAT, DO WE SUCK OR SOMETHING?! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!"
"Oh, well, you have my sympathy." Said Kakashi, walking up to him, "I can see where a thing like that would be hard to accept...but a fact's a fact."
He placed his hand on Naruto's head.
"This won't be the last time you'll encounter someone who's younger than you..."
Naruto was waiting for the rest of his reply.
"And stronger than me."
In a whirl of wind and leaves, the Shinobi hunter carefully lifted Zabuza's body off of the ground.
"Well, I must be off, then." He said, and vanished.
Kakashi sighed as he slid his headband over his Sharingan.
"Well," he said, walking to retrieve Aki, "We still have to escort Mr. Tazuna back to his home! Let's put our best feet forward!"
"Mr. Tazuna," said Aki as she watched Kakashi come towards her, "Be prepared... to carry... a few bodies."
Kakashi's smile vanished as he stopped short, and landed face first on the dirt, right in front of Aki.
"Master Kakashi!" shouted the three in unison.
(I can't... budge) thought Kakashi, suddenly exhausted, (...I...must have used the Sharingan eye too much...)
Aki kneeled down next to him.
"W- what's wrong with him?" asked Sakura in a timid voice.
"Nothing serious." Said Aki in a reassuring tone, "He's just wiped out from the Sharingan Eye. All he needs is rest, and probably no hassles."
"Looks like I'll have to carry him." Sighed Mr. Tazuna, hoisting Kakashi up.
He stared at Aki for a moment, then asked, "Can you stand on your own?"
Aki tried, but only fell back down again, coughing up blood. This SUCKED!!
"Sakura, do you think you can help her along?"
"Uh..." she replied, taken aback, "I guess."
Sakura bent down and gently lifted Aki to her feet. As they made the slow procession to Mr. Tazuna's home, Aki whispered in her ear, "Trust me. You'll admit your love for him, and he'll be indebted to you forever."
Sakura's eyes widened.
