[11]

An hour and a half later, plus a few more first kisses, they were walking out the door, freshly showered on their way to campus for Sydney's first class.

"Syd, why don't we just share a car?" Michael asked, "I mean what's the sense of driving two cars when we're going the same place."

She nodded, "That's a good point, but this time can I drive?"

He laughed, "I promise not to drive like your grandma this time if you let me drive."

"Fine," she mock-sighed, "I guess that's a deal for now. But if you start driving slow again, then we're pulling the car over right away and I'm taking over the wheel."

"That sounds good to me," he replied, running over to her side of the car and opening the door for her.

She stopped in front of him before she got in the car and gave him a quick peck on the mouth, "Thank you."

Now that the first kiss was out of the way, the awkwardness before a first kiss was gone, and the two of them felt comfortable around each other.

And they could enjoy many more kisses as they already had.

"So what class is first today?" Michael questioned, looking over at her, and smiling at the sight as he pulled out of the parking lot.

"Hmm..." she thought for a second, "I think it is Psychology 101, which is a pretty cool class."

"When's the next time you have film class?" he inquired eagerly, merely for that fact that he hoped Seth Goodwin started another argument with him.

"I have it first thing tomorrow morning," she replied, "Why are you so eager about it anyway?"

He smirked, "I want to show up Seth Goodwin again, plus I thought it was fun, I wish I would have discovered something like that when I was in school."

She looked at him weirdly, "Speaking of you going to school, what exactly did you go to college for. I mean, I know where you work now, but what did you originally go to college for?"

"I went to Law School, but it just wasn't for me," he shrugged, "But I do have the opportunity of being a lawyer if this career doesn't pan out. But I don't think I could really enjoy being a lawyer, it takes too much time out of your life."

"I know what you mean," she nodded, "When I was younger I wanted to be a doctor, but seeing my mother work before she died, it just changed everything, I don't think I could be happy being a doctor, I'd much rather be a teacher -- follow in my mother's footsteps."

They had more in common than they originally thought, and that was one of the things that made them so compatible with one another.

Michael pulled the car into the campus parking lot and shut it off, and the two of them just sat there in silence for a minute before Michael looked over at Sydney.

"I like kissing you," Michael told her.

"Good," she replied, leaning over, "Because I like kissing you too."

Their lips connected once again, another sweet, slow kiss before Sydney pulled away with a smile, "Okay, time to go to class now."

They exited the car, Michael coming around to her side to open the door and let her out.

She gave him a smile as she got out and grabbed her bag off of the floor, and they just stood there for a minute contemplating what to do next.

Should he hold her hand? That was what was running through his mind right now, as an awkward pause filled the air once again.

He bit the bullet and grabbed her hand and she smiled up at him, "Ready to go?"

"Yes, let's," she replied, wondering if they would run into Francie somewhere along the way as they meandered their way to her first class.

They were drifting across the campus when Sydney heard something behind them, "Syd!"

She winced, she would recognize that voice anywhere and she turned around, turning Michael around also, keeping their hands connected, "Hi Will."
