Kunai scratch marks littered three of the tallest trees in the nearby forest. Sasuke and Naruto were both racing up the sides of the tree, trying to be one step ahead of the other one. Sakura was watching them both from the tree limb she sat upon, disgruntled that Naruto was the only one who noticed her accomplishment.

Kakashi was watching them, clinging to his crutches for support, when he sensed something powerful.

(Those chakra waves. I've never felt these before.)

Seeing that the three were quite busy controlling their chakras, Kakashi hobbled off, careful not to make himself present to these unknown and very powerful waves. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^..^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Aki was bobbing her head to Underworld on her headphones as she wrote down notes in her journal. She never felt so...scientific before. She was like a mini- Einstein recording notes on how to make an atomic bomb. On her journal pages were:

"What Rules Can Be Bent?

Gravity Body functions Opened abilities (jumping high, far distances)

What Rules Can Be Broken?

Strength Accuracy Time of wounds (to take to heal) Power (summoning, magic, etc.)

Rules I Have Bent:

Facial expressions Gravity (not yet) Body limitations

Rules I Have Broken:

Chakra abilities New Justu moves (You could say I'm an alchemist) Improved accuracy Able to fight swiftly and sharply (none of which I am normally capable of) Knowledge of fighting styles and techniques

Aki closed her book and pen, and laid them aside her book bag. She placed her right foot in front of her left, and rose her arms to the canopies. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she swung her torso forward, her palms pressing against the grass. She did two forward cartwheels and a somersault to finish with.

She stood there, awed by what she had just done. After calming her brain down, she grabbed her notebook and scribbled in an empty spot on "Rules I Had Bent". Placing her book down, she rose her arms to the sky again, but this time she did a handstand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^..^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Aki had always been a game freak. She played everything from Mortal Combat to Tom Clancy games to RPG's like FF 7,9 or 10 or //.Hack.Sign. She remembered playing one called Tekken 4, and remembered one player fought Capouera style. That's where break- dancing was derived from.

Recalling some of the moves the character did, Aki quickly lowered herself to the ground and did a stream of swirling kicks and swinging punches in the air, not breaking the cycle.

Once again, she was amazed at what she could do in this world. Now it was on to the harder stuff. Chakra- based moves. Standing up, she focused her mind, and did the Sigh of the Ram with her hands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^..^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kakashi was hidden in the trees, watching Aki experiment with her power and moves.

(Her chakra is practically illuminating her outline!) he thought in amazement, but then it went pervey.

Through her concentration, Aki sensed someone was watching her. Transporting some chakra to the back of her hand, she swept it behind her.

Kakashi didn't know what hit him. Here he was, spying on Aki, and suddenly, he's blown off from the tree branch that he was crouching on.

Aki, smirked, seeing who it was.

"Can't you ever enter in like a normal person?" She shook her head in amusement.

"What WAS that?" he said, trying to get up with his crutches.

"I call this one La Mano No Jutsu. I don't know that much Japanese, so I substituted Spanish instead."

Kakashi was stumped (not to mention crippled).

"It basically knocks the opponent unbalanced, giving the user the advantage to run or charge. In my case, to reveal surrounding enemies."

"YOU made that move?"

"Yeah." She looked as though it were obvious.

"I have others as well." She gave a cunning grin to herself.

"Others?!"

Aki nodded with a smug grin painted to her glimmering face. She had even combined fighting techniques, so now there was Taigenjutsu, Genninjutsu, and even Taigenninjustu! Wait till she made moves for those!

She helped Kakashi to his feet again, and went back to making notes and experimenting with moves and such. While she was busy rolling up trees by using the chakra grabbing technique, he noticed a strange book sticking out of Aki's knapsack. Seeing that she was busy, Kakashi carefully slipped out the book.

He looked on the cover, and was shocked to see.........himself.

Kakashi was about to open the book, when Aki landed perfectly in front of him. Kakashi, in surprise, flung the book back towards the knapsack, and pretended he was somewhere else.

"Shouldn't you be watching Team 7?" inquired Aki, standing up.

"Uh, well yes, but...uh, I...wanted to see what you were up to."

"Oh, if that's all..." Aki bowed and motioned a hand in front of her to let Kakashi pass.

He acknowledged her gesture, and tried to see if she bent down low enough for him to catch a glimpse, but nope. Bummed, he hobbled off. Aki grinned while shaking her head. Looking back the tree, her head flourished with new ideas for techniques. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^..^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Naruto was wiped out and on the ground gasping for breath. The sun had started to retire for the night, waves of blazing red, orange and pink flaring through vacant spots in the tree's bushy limbs. Sakura and Sasuke had left hours ago, but Naruto was determined to be one step ahead of Sasuke.

(Naruto)

Unwillingly, he opened an eye. He saw no one, but moaned at the thought of getting up.

(Naruto. Get up)

Groaning like he needed a chiropractor, he stood up, scratching the back of his head. When his eyes adjusted to the scenery, he jumped in shock.

Staring mystically into his eyes, was a long and magnificent Japanese dragon. One pair of its long snout tendrils were bushy like a wolf's tail while the other pair was sleek and slippery like a catfish's whiskers. A beautiful mane of fur ran down its slender back, the tips morphing from white to green to blue. Its deep aquamarine scales gleamed in the setting sun, making them look like tumbled sapphires. Powerful talons rested upon the other hand in a sophisticated manner, showing wisdom.

Naruto stood mesmerized by the dragon's cat eyes. Uncoiling itself from the tree, it stood up in brilliance and strode towards Naruto. Should he draw and kill? Or should he wait? This dragon was coming mighty quickly. What should he do!?

(Naruto. Do not be afraid. It is only me.)

"H- how do y- you know my name? And wh- who are you?" His hand snaked towards his shuriken holster.

(Do not draw. You would kill a friend?)

"Huh?"

In a huge flurry of smoke and blue feathers, Aki stood before him, smiling.

"See? Told ya it was me!"

Naruto dropped his jaw somewhere, and couldn't find it.

"How?! What?! How did you-?!"

"Oh, I tweaked the Henge no Jutsu a little bit." She replied, smiling to herself, "But enough of that. I'm in need of an opponent to practice my new skills, and I was wondering if you would be obliged?"

Half of Naruto thought he could beat her with one finger while the other thought, "What? So that I can be beaten up like some old punching bag?"

"If you beat me," offered Aki, a strange sparkle in her eyes, "I'll teach you some new techniques."

"Ooo! I'm all for that!" shouted Naruto, suddenly getting a burst of energy.

(Heeheehee! Now I can beat Sasuke with these new moves! There's no way he can defeat me after this!)

"ONLY if you beat me." Replied Aki, taking a fighting stance.

"You're on!"

He was totally and undeniably naïve to what he had gotten himself into.
