Because this chapter was super-short, I decided to give you two chapters, so enjoy the double update, and please let me know what you think of them!

Chapter 14

Sydney sighed, "It's good to be out of school for the day, it was starting to annoy me."

'Actually,' she thought to herself, 'It was more Will that was beginning to annoy me, I mean god, every time I turned around he was there, it was like he was stalking us.'

Michael smiled and let his right hand stray from the steering wheel to grab her left, "So how about we go out to dinner tonight?"

"McDonald's again?" she asked jokingly.

"Nah, I think something a little classier tonight," he replied, "Something without a play area."

She smiled brightly, "That calls for a new outfit then."

He grimaced, Weiss had been right, she was taking him shopping, and it was all his fault, maybe he should have stuck to a fast food restaurant.

But he put up a front and flashed her a quick smile, "Where to then?"

She felt at home at the mall, and on Michael's arm she was beaming.

They walked through the mall, window shopping for a while, hoping that maybe something would catch Sydney's eye and they would soon be able to go back to the apartment and get ready for dinner.

Michael hated shopping, he only went when he was in dire need of something, but with Sydney, it seemed he would be going a lot more.

Finally, Sydney came to a dead halt in front of one store and all but dragged him into it, and immediately running over to the dress she had seen from outside the store.

"I love it!" she exclaimed of the flowery summer dress.

Upon seeing Sydney lovingly looking at the dress, a saleslady came over to them, "Would you like to try this dress on Miss?"

Sydney nodded enthusiastically, "I'd love to."

She walked back towards the fitting room with the dress in one hand, her other hand holding onto Michael's, "Will you hold my purse for me while I try it on?"

He just nodded dejectedly.

With his answer, she popped into the dressing room to try it on, leaving Michael to sit in a chair outside of the room.

And the minute he sat down, his phone rang, and he sighed, he thought he knew who it was.

"Hello?" he asked quietly.

"Mike, hey!" Weiss exclaimed.

"Wow, the first call of the day and it's almost night time, I'm impressed."

"Shut up," Weiss growled, then cheerfully went on, "So where are you?"

He had known it was coming; now he would never hear the end of it.

"Shopping with Sydney," Michael sighed, and he knew now it was coming, he'd never live this down.

"Ha!" Weiss laughed, "I so told you just the other day that sooner or later she would be taking you shopping, so who's right now?"

"You'll never hear me say this again, but you are."

"That's what I thought," he continued to laugh, "Now I just wanted to say hey, so I'll leave you to your shopping."

With that said, and the teasing just beginning, he hung up.
