Hope you guys like this, since this one is so short, I'm going to post
another chapter also because as I said, I feel this one is really short.

'Stop snooping around, you'll only make it worse for yourselves.'
"Oh my god," Sydney breathed.
Vaughn grabbed it out of her hand, crinkled it up, and threw it over his shoulder, grabbing Sydney's hand in his, "Let's go out somewhere."
She shook her head, "What was that?" Obviously she was indicating the note.
"It must be from the person who's been breaking in here." He had to play it dumb, if she knew there had been more letters like this, well he wasn't going to allow that to happen.
"Are all the doors and windows locked throughout the apartment?" he asked suddenly.
"I don't know," she replied. Together, they stood up, silently deciding to split the apartment up, each taking half of it, and checking.
Once that task was done, they met back out in the living room, "Everything's good now."
Still, Vaughn wanted to get out, he needed to get out, not only get his mind off of these notes, but also because he was starving.
Sydney was still a little shaken, realistically she didn't know about all the notes, but the few she did know about were enough to have her blood pressure and anxiety high, and her fearing for her life.
But still, she nodded, she did need to get out of the apartment, plus apparently it seemed like the neighbors were having a fight, there was a pounding and lots of yelling, "Yeah, let's get out of here."
Not five minutes later, they were walking out the door, this time making sure it was locked a few times when Sydney looked up and squinted in disbelief.
"Danny?"
Danny blinked rapidly a few times, as Vaughn stood next to Sydney, shocked, he had planned on telling Sydney that night about Danny and Delia.
"Do you know where Delia is?" he demanded.
"Danny what are you doing here?" she turned to Vaughn, who tried to look innocent, "Vaughn, what's going on here?"
"Do you know where Delia is?" Danny asked more forcefully, as he came towards them.
Vaughn took her arm gently in his hand, and started tugging her towards the elevator, "Syd, come on, let's go."
"Vaughn I want to know why he's here," she craned her neck to pointedly look at Danny, practically trying to force him to talk, "Well?"
Luckily, they were close enough to the elevator, and Vaughn had already hit the up button, so as soon as the doors opened, Vaughn pulled her in and shut the doors before she could get back out...
...and she whirled on him, eyes alight, "Do you want to explain to me what that was? What was Danny doing there?"
He sighed, but figured what the hell, she was going to find out sooner or later, "Danny is dating your next-door neighbor Delia McDaniels."
"He's dating her?" she screeched, "She's dating him? What a creep, first Bailey and now Delia?"
"Delia really is a nice person though, I met her, she seems really nice."
"Well if her and Danny are dating, why is Danny attempting to beat down her door?"
Vaughn snickered quietly.
"What?" she demanded, "What's so funny?"
"Well, maybe I happened to slip to Delia that you were her next door neighbor, and that Danny was your ex-fiancé, ex because he cheated on you with Bailey."

They walked into the restaurant, and waited at the waitress' stand for the waitress to come and seat them, and as the waitress approached them, she smiled, "Michael?"
Both their heads snapped up, and Sydney's eyes bore into the girl's head, "Delia? What are you doing here?"
She smiled, "I work here, have for five years, what are you doing here?"
He shrugged, "Sydney and I are just having dinner."
Delia's head turned to Sydney with a smile, and she stuck out her hand, "Hi, I'm Delia, you must be Sydney."
Sydney nodded and shook Delia's hand as Vaughn took to introductions, "Sydney this is Delia McDaniels, Delia this is Sydney Bristow, you're neighbors."
They chatted amicably as Delia lead them to their table and gave them two menus, "I'll be back in a few minutes to take your orders."
Before she got too far away, Vaughn called, "Delia?"
She walked back over and gazed intensely down at him, "Yes?"
"Just so you know, when we were leaving the apartment, Danny was there trying to knock the door down, he looked pretty angry."
Delia froze, "Danny's a deadbeat, he goes through woman to woman so fast it's not even funny, there were five between Bailey and me, and that's been just five months. My friends tried to warn me about him, but I didn't listen, I was convinced they were just jealous, but they were right."
"So what are you going to do for the night?" Sydney questioned.
She shrugged, "I'll probably stay at my parents for the night, he doesn't know where that is."
"Well if you ever need anything," Vaughn offered, "Let us know, we'd love to help out."
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind."
Delia left them alone to browse their menu before she would take their orders, knowing that if she needed anything, they would help her.
