I'm so, so, so, so, so sorry that it has taken me so long to get this
chapter up, but school has been terrible, it's really hard for me to upload
them at home and I have to do it during my study halls at school, and there
have been classes at the library lately so I can't get to a computer in
general. So, I hope you enjoy this, this is the last actual chapter, there
still is an epilogue, which I hope to post soon!

Jack stared at all the collective people around him, "What you all need to remember is that these people took my daughter, they will fight back, so don't hesitate to kill them if you're presented with a chance."
Everyone nodded, and Devlin took over, "Some of my best agents will be entering first, everyone else will enter behind them. And before anyone goes in, make sure you have extra rounds for yours guns, and make sure your bulletproof vest is on, none of you are bulletproof, and these people will be firing at you.
"Is that understood?"
Destiny, Brandon, Hayden, Hannah, Jonnie, Henry and Jeffers stepped forward, all dressed in their tactical gear, ready to lead the charge into the offices of Butdhu.
Devlin came over the comm. link, "Are all groups ready and in position?"
"Alpha Team is ready and in position."
"Delta Team is ready and in position."
"Beta Team is ready and in position."
"Go! Go! Go! Go!"
The three teams rushed the building from their position, hoping that they would be able to surround the building, and prevent the least amount of deaths.
Vaughn started pacing in the command center, angry that upon arrival they had informed him that he wouldn't be going in with the teams, the same happening to Jack, so the ones that this operation impacted most were stuck watching it on security cameras.
Then he felt a hand clamp down on his shoulder, and hold him in place, "She'll be fine."

The doors were kicked in, and the teams ran in, their guns drawn, waiting for any enemy agents to come into view.
Alpha Team was led by Destiny [who had not gotten a concussion from the encounter from 'Steve', and who had been back at work the next day] and Brandon, who led their group of agents through a hallway, leading towards the inner sanctum of the Butdhu offices.
Both the other teams were supposed to head towards the basement to go in search of Sydney, but at the last second, their plan was changed.
"Delta and Beta Team -- follow Alpha Team. I repeat follow Alpha Team."

Jack and Vaughn's heads snapped up, "What are you doing? Delta and Beta Team were supposed to go in search of Sydney, what's going on?"
"Change of plans," Devlin told them, "Jack, I want you to go in there, I have a special team waiting for you, you'll lead them to the basement in search of Sydney, so suit up."
"What about me?" Vaughn asked, as Jack ran off to get suited up.
"You're staying here with me."

'Steve' was sitting in Sloane's office, talking, when they heard a large explosion, and the office shook with the impact, something was going on.
Sloane pulled two guns out of his desk, and handed one to 'Steve', who looked up at his boss in alarm, "Sir, I think you should get out of here, use the hidden door, and get as far away from here as you can."
"No," Sloane barked, "If someone is threatening my organization, I will stay and I will fight."
Before 'Steve' could object, Sloane opened the door, and was met with the destruction. Some sort of small explosive had been set off, and the main office area was destroyed, desks overturned, pillars crumbling, smoke everywhere.
And worst of all were all his agents who were locked in death fights with the intruders, the piles of dead bodies stacking up, and his employees being taken into custody.
He wouldn't let it happen.
His gun rang out as he stepped out into the wreckage, he wouldn't allow it.

The path had already been cleared by the time Jack Bristow's team entered the door, and immediately he saw the door to the staircase that would lead to the basement.
His team mostly consisted of rookies, but their mission didn't involve facing a lot of resistance, just whatever agents happened to be guarding Sydney.
As they got to the bottom of the staircase, Jack stopped the agents, "We're going to split up into groups of two and search each room. If you encounter enemy agents, shoot them before they shoot you, and if you find Sydney, get her out of here before she gets shot."
Then they went about finding the chestnut-haired twenty-year-old.

"Alpha Team has captured Arvin Sloane and the man Jack Bristow met with," Destiny called over the comm. link, "We're going to start bringing the agents out to be taken into custody."
"Roger that Alpha Team, get Delta Team and Beta Team to help you out, and don't worry about the retrieval of the package, another team has been sent it."
"See you in a few."

Vaughn looked up at Devlin, "What's happening?"
"It's over," Devlin told him, exhaustedly taking the comm. link off his head and setting it on the desk in front of him, "They're bringing everyone out to be taken into..."
But Vaughn was already out the door of the command center.

Two agents pulled up about a block away from the building, the two of them looking up at the building they once worked in.
But now they were on their own.
"I'm going to make them pay for what they did," the female choked out, "If it's the last thing I do."
"Don't worry babe, I'll help you too."
Then they drove off, it wasn't safe for them to be that close, the chance of getting caught was still a huge risk they couldn't take.

He was searching for her, if all agents had been apprehended, then Sydney should have been found already.
And then he saw her standing in the doorway.
A bunch of rookies helping her through the wreckage and remains of the once vibrant building.
Through the smoke, she walked to him, forgetting about the ache in her head and foot, only remembering the ache in her heart.
She let him envelope her in his embrace, to him, it felt like years since she had been in his arms, when in actuality, it had only been two days.
It was about time.
"I love you Syd," he murmured, still holding her body tight to his.
Her head was in the crook of his neck, but she smiled, and whispered, "I love you too."
It was true, they were in love.
