It's the end guys, wow, I can't believe it, I just want to thank each and every one of you for your wonderful reviews that kept me going throughout this, and thank Screech for being my wonderful beta and posting for me when I couldn't, I'll be forever grateful to you!

To each and every one of you who have left me one review, or one for each chapter, there's not enough words for me to thank you, honestly, to come each and everyday onto SD-1 after half a day of stressful classes and read your wonderful words, well, it's wonderful.

Thanks to Bella and OSE for stalking me until I update! And for keeping me away from those evil spoilers by distracting me.

So I'll stop rambling now, and give you the epilogue which I really hope you like, I hope you like the ending, I already have the first two chapters of the sequel (which will be titled 'The Good Stuff') back from Screech, so I'll post that tomorrow, or Wednesday, or Thursday, or Friday (I can be swayed if you want it posted tomorrow )

Okay, I'm done, so thank you once again!

[Epilogue]

'Steve', who they now knew as Julian Sark aka Sam O'Connelly, was gone, the organization formerly known as 'Butdhu' was also gone, Arvin Sloane had been apprehended, and Sydney and Vaughn stood side by side amongst the wreckage.

Out of the rubble, smoke and fog, Jack Bristow emerged, and walked straight towards the couple, an obvious limp in his normally brisk-paced walk.

"Dad," Sydney rushed to his side, "What happened?"

He pulled his daughter to him, in the first show of affection since she had been a little girl, and then he brushed her off, "Don't worry about me, I'm fine, Mr. Vaughn, I'd like to talk to you."

Vaughn nodded, and headed a few feet away with Jack, Sydney looking on, trying to figure out what was being said, afraid her father would object to her relationship with Vaughn.

"I'd like to -- I'd like to thank you for taking care of Sydney during this time, she really needed someone, and you were there for her," Vaughn almost choked at the next words out of his mouth since he had always objected to their relationship, "And I just want you to know, that you and Sydney, you have my blessing -- welcome to the family."

Then he walked back through the smoke, leaving Vaughn gaping at the spot where he used to stand.

As soon as her father was gone, Sydney practically ambushed him, clinging to him like he was her lifeline, "What happened? What did my father say?"

Vaughn was still slightly shocked as he recounted the entire conversation to her, and she too was shocked by what her father had said.

"Wow," she breathed, "That's the first time he's ever said that to any of my boyfriend's, you should feel special, normally he just threatens them."

He chuckled quietly, "But I've already been threatened by him at least twice."

As they walked away, their conversation continued, "That's true, but..."

Jack Bristow stood to the side of the wreckage, watching his daughter and her boyfriend talking, and also conferring with Devlin.

"It was good work you did tonight Jack," Devlin stated, "If I didn't know that you were a senator, I would almost think you were a CIA agent."

He laughs a little, "Thank you Director Devlin, thank you for everything, without you, Mr. Sark would have abducted my daughter right away, and I would have never gotten her back, thanks to you, I have a second chance."

There is a long pause before Jack asks a question that has been plaguing him for the last hour or so, "What's going to happen to them? Mr. Sark? Mr. Sloane? The rest of the people working for Butdhu? What's going to happen to them now?"

Devlin shrugged his shoulders slightly, "I suspect they're going to be held in a maximum security prison where they'll be spending the rest of their lives as suspected terrorists."

Jack nodded silently.

And Devlin clapped his shoulder, "Don't worry Jack, they'll pay for what they did, they'll pay for the rest of their lives."

'It had been put off long enough,' he thought as he dialed the number, Sydney's hand is his as they walked around the former home of 'Butdhu' headquarters.

"Who are you calling?" Sydney asked quietly, as if it were a secret.

He smiled, "Don't worry, you'll see."

She pouted at not getting her own way, and he kissed her playfully, a full blown smile on his face.

"Hello?"

"Maman," he smiled, "Hi."

"Michel, it's so nice to hear from you, it's been a little while."

"I know maman," he guiltily replied, "I just got a new assignment though, and I've been really busy."

Elise Vaughn smiled on the other side of the world at the sound of her only son's voice, "Gretchen's been asking about you."

"How is Gretch?" he questioned, "And how is that adorable little niece of mine?"

"Rianna is really good, and growing up, she asks about 'Uncle Mike' and Donovan almost daily." There was something about him that was different...happier, "Michel, you sound happier than the last time I talked to you."

His mother was so perceptive, "I am happy maman, I'm happier than I've ever been before."

"What's her name?" Elise demanded, "What's the name of this woman who has made you so clearly happy?"

"Sydney," he breathed, "Her name is Sydney Bristow."

"I demand to meet this woman who has changed my son's life, I want to meet her."

He smiled, he knew she would say that, "Soon maman. Very, very soon Sydney and I will come to France so you can meet her, and she you."

Satisfied, Elise smiled, deciding to lay off her son, "Sydney sounds wonderful Michel, anyone who makes you happy I'll always love, so tell me a little about her."

"I love her maman, I really do, I love her more than I've ever loved anyone."

THE END

~&~&~

We (Screech and I) were talking about figure skating on AIM on day, and she had made me watch the skating on ABC in the fall to watch Canada's Jeff BUTtle and Emanuel SanDHU compete, and we got to talking about how cute they were and then, since it took too long to keep writing out Jeff and Emanuel, we tried out butdhu as a formation of their last names, and it stuck, making us giggle like crazy, and as a joke we decided that whomever of us wrote a new fic first would have to use that as a title, and alas, this is what happened.

That's our story lol. Oh yeah, and Emanuel will be on TV next week for the world figure skating championships.

Want to see pictures of them? Because they are totally hot! Well here are the links:
