He lost all the true loves he had last year.
Racetrack sat all alone on the floor in the kitchen. He had gambled away all his money and he couldn't take the girls out for dates. He spent the rest of the money on drinks and got very drunk. All of his true loves left him because they didn't want to be with a drunken gambler. Race heard the door to the lodging house open. "Great," he thought, "the fellas are back from selling."
Jack walked into the dark kitchen to see Race sulking alone. He reached out his hand, pulled race up, and said
Oh rise up on your feet and greet the first you meet!
The happiest one I know!
Just then Mush walked in. Race ran up to Mush and enveloped him in a huge hug! Mush hugged back gleefully. With a smile and wave Race left to go to Tibby's for some food.

Spot was lying on the floor under a booth at Tibby's. His girl friend had just told him she never wanted to see him again. She said he was to cruel to people and to controlling. He said he loved her truly but all she said was for him to get lost and never come back. She stormed off never to be seen again.

Racetrack waltzed into Tibby's with a spring in his step. He was the happiest person alive. Even if he didn't have his girls he had his good friends. One of which was lying under a booth in front of him. Leaning down to look at Spot he said
Oh, rise up on your feet and greet the first you meet!
The happiest one I know!
Race pulled Spot out from under the table and gave him a friendly pat on the back. Skipping to the door Spot notice Mush walking in. He ran over to him and lifted him off his feet with a large hug! "Wow Spot! What's eatin' you?" Mush asked sarcasticaly. Spot just grinned and went on his merry way.

Air threw up a stone as she stood in the park. Italy watched her idily from a bench a few feet away. "Air, you don't have to sulk just because Danny left you. I mean it's not your fault that you can't keep all your guys. Just because your clumsy and loud and kind of annoying." Italy said as she rolled her eyes.
"Oh, Italy he was so cruel!" Air continued to throw the stone up until she missed it and it came down on her foot.

Spot skipped up and noticed Air hopping on one foot. "Oh, Air what ever is the matter?" He asked in alarm.
She didn't have time to answer before she fell backwards onto the ground. Italy helped, "She lost all the true loves she had last year."
Spot smiled at Air and helped her up saying
So rise up on your feet and greet the first you meet!

Air's grin streatched from ear to ear. She hopped up and noticed Racetrack and Mush walking up. Air ran up to Mush, hopped up, and hugged him for all she was worth. Upon seeing Race, Italy jumped from the bench and hugged him as well. Poor Spot standing all alone ran up to the aproching Jack. They hugged merrily as they all skipped down the path togethr towards the sun set.
