The death of love,
The death of hope,
the death of I,
The death of him.
I see it all now.
The eye shows it to me.
I cannot fight this battle,
it will tie me to my fate.
There is nothing left.
No heart.
No soul.
No heavy sigh.
I'm gone.
Sam knows it.
Oh, poor Sam.
He will not understand.
For I cannot keep It.
But I cannot drop It.
I must fall,
along with It,
into the lava.
Will it be quick?
Will It be cold?
Will It remain gold?
Will I be hot?
Will I die first?
Will I witness the great fall?
But, no.
I have It on.
It tells me not to fall.
It promises me another day.

It is evil.

My feet leave sandy foot prints,
as Bilbo's used to,
long days of old.
They will hurt Bilbo.
It wants to hurt him.
It would hurt Drogo,
It would hurt Saradoc,
It would hurt the Thain.
It would torture Merry,
Pippin,
and Sam more than anything.
I cannot abandon them.
Cannot leave them behind.
I must fall,
with this burden,
wearing It,
one last time.
But now Sam is falling.
To his very feet.
Falling to the ground.
What is happening?
He is on me!

It=the one ring , the last line refers to gollum , the eye is of course
none other than the dark lord himself , the first he is open to
interpretation , it=a fact
