Leaving Chapter 2
She drove till she was somewhere near the California border, she stopped at a little dingy motel, nothing spectacular but it could've been worse. It had a bed and a shower and that was all she really needed right now, a long hot shower and a good nights sleep. After her shower she got into bed and tried to sleep, but she realized that this would be the first time in years that she slept without his arms around her waist. She was on the verge of crying again thinking about it, but she decided that she wasn't going to cry anymore, at least for tonight. She was going to get a good nights sleep, so she could check out early, so she could be on the road hopefully with little traffic. She finally drifted to sleep a couple of minutes later and fell into a restless sleep. She woke up the next morning at about 7, she took another shower and got dressed, and went downstairs to check out. She got back into her car and drove, she passed the sign that said 'you are now leaving California, come back soon.' As she passed the border she thought 'this is it, I can't go back at least not for awhile.'
