Title: Sevens

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter as it belongs solely to JK Rowling. The song belongs to Garth Brooks and it's called "I Don't Have To Wonder".

Twenty-three year old Draco sat in the back booth of the small bar he and his band performed in, thinking, well brooding, about the past few years. Mostly about when he lost his lover to another. He wore a white t-shirt that was tight enough to show off his toned abs with a pair of faded blue jeans and brown boots. His hair was no longer slicked back, but hanging loosely in his gray eyes.

"Can I get you another drink before you head towards the stage to start your act?" The petite waitress, known as Wendy, asked. She was an attractive woman, with hazel eyes and black shoulder length hair.

Draco nodded and requested, "Give me your strongest drink." He needed to be num or else he'd feel the pain that was still evident in his heart. He knew he should be over it, but he couldn't find anyone or anything that dulled the pain like she did.

"Whisky on the rocks it is." She replied before walking towards the bar. She couldn't remember seeing him be this depressed before. He usually drank rum and coke, but then she realized that the woman that usually accompanied him hadn't been around lately. Yet the woman could have been gone for a long time and Wendy wouldn't have noticed because she just got back from Germany.

His drink came and Draco downed it after it was set onto the table. Standing up he walked over to where his band was set up and told them the song they were going to play. He'd written it a couple years ago and it seemed appropriate even now than it did when he'd written it.

"Drove to the church In my suit and tie But I just couldn't bring myself To go inside." He sang, taking the microphone off the stand and holding it in his left hand, the memories still fresh.

"So I sat alone In my truck across the street Watched that chauffeur smokin' cigarettes By that long white limousine." He continued.

"I could just imagine what was goin' on in there Sunlight streamin' through the stained glass And those flowers in her hair." He sang getting a far off look forgetting that there were people in the small bar.

"And in less time than it takes a tear to fall Those bells ran loud as thunder As they opened up the doors Now I don't have to wonder anymore." A lone tear slipped down his pale cheek, but he was too lost in the memories to notice. The mic dropped to his side momentarily before the next verse started.

"Laughin' and cryin' Tossin' that bouquet And when you got in that limo I drove off the other way." He sang remembering how hard it was to not turn the truck around and sweep her off her feet.

"And I still don't know Why things happened like they did But I parked that old pickup On that lonesome river bridge." He half-smirked at the memories of that bridge and all that'd happened there.

"I took your ring from my pocket And I held it one last time Watched that diamond sparkle I drew back and I let her fly." He paused, placing the mic on his right shoulder, as the music climaxed and looked towards his best friend as he played the guitar solo.

"And in less time than it takes a tear to fall Oh that old ring went under Lord and now it's gone for sure And I don't have to wonder anymore." He paused, tapping a beat on his leg, again preparing for the finally.

"Well the angels sang like thunder As I felt myself go under Now I don't have to wonder anymore." He finished, returning microphone to it's stand, and that's when he saw her. Fiery red hair, bloodshot brown eyes and tearstained angelic face. Yet she still looked as beautiful as he'd remembered.

The End!!!
