"When did you and Dad get together?"

Mrs. Brown had been talking to her 16-year old daughter about dating.

Dating an "older" man.

He was a senior for Pete's sake!

Much too old for her baby.

Then that dreaded question had come up.

"Well, I started working for Gampa Andy, and we hit it off," was her hasty reply.

"That was it?"

"What was it?" Her husband walked in from the side door.

"How you and Mom got together."

Oh, ... that's a... an interesting story, "Ephram stammered out, "Well, I'd better be going..."

"Oh no you don't, Ephram Brown! If I gotta tell it, you gotta be here with me."

"What's the story?!" Their teenager was certainly not backing down now.

"Well, I was in high-school, and Gampa Andy hired her for a job."

"What job, though!"

"Ummmm... azzeeitter."

"What was that, dear? I don't think she heard you," she looked over at him, face just dripping with innocence.

Ephram glared at his wife, "Babysitter."

"For who?" the girl's confused face glanced back and forth between her parents.

"Auntie Delia. Your mother was babysitting Auntie Delia."

"Where's the interesting part?"

"Your father was a junior."

"So?"

"I was 20."

"But that would have made you.... Oh my God! Ew! Ew! That's not even legal! Ew!"

After chanting 'ew' a few more times, she got a pensive look on her face, "Jeremy and me don't have that much of an age difference after all..."

Madison looked over at her husband with a look that said, "We are never going to hear the end of this, are we?"

"Thanks, Mom! You've been very helpful!" She practically skipped out of the room with the thought that it wasn't nearly that bad that her boyfriend was older. Her parents certainly couldn't say anything against it! They were never going to hear the end of this!

As soon as their daughter had left, Ephram turned to his wife and muttered, "Oh shit. I'm not going to be able to complain about Jeremy am I?"

"I'm sure you'll find something wrong about him."

They kissed quickly, and Ephram out his coat back on.

"I think I know how Dad felt just about now. I'm gonna go over there. Apologize..."
