First time writing a spiritual fanfic. ^_^; I wrote this as an extra
credit assignment for English and suddenly I pictured Duo. I hope this is

The Church of Salvation

Shattered glass, crumbling walls, fallen chandlers
Burnt altar, ruined rugs, broken pews
Retaining beauty
The Church of Salvation

Allowing such destruction
Not to give suffering
But offering the latent experience
Needed by man

Shedding beautiful blood
Washing the sins of the guilty
With the blessing
Within the holy place

Battered edifice
Within the Holy presence
Sheltering the lost, the fragile, the corrupted
With its' steady wings

Tainted flesh lies on the blunted altar
Mystical light peeks through
The broken glass
Engulfing the flesh

Warmth is welcoming within the ruins
My open heart, my giving tears, my tortured soul
Receive nurture from within
The Church of Salvation
