A/N: This is my first Dragon Knights fic. I swear the author must have known my friends and I because Thatz, Rune, and Rath fit us to a T. Can you tell who I am? It is so funny; therefore, I have created this fic for pure entertainment. All suggestions and reviews (be they flames) are more than welcome.
Chapter 1
The castle was oddly quiet and everyone was inside on a delightfully sunny day. Well almost everyone. The Lord and his Queen had left earlier that morning and Rath pestered the Dragon Officers (mostly Kai-Stern). "Where did he go? Where did he go?"
"It's confidential" Kai-Stern stated as he flipped through a book.
"Fine," Rath said meekly as he took an innocent semblance. Kai-Stern showed no notation to the act and Rath stormed out of the room slamming the door as he went. He made sure to drag his feet and make a lot of noise as he left. Then, he tiptoed back to the door and put his ear against it.
The voices were hushed and he could barely make anything out, but words like "going to", "wedding", and dare I say it, "demon." With that, Rath took off down the hall and jumped out of a window and screamed with glee as he hit the outside ground. There were only three things left to do: find Fire, find Thatz, and find Rune. It was a no-brainer as to where Thatz would be, so he headed off to the kitchen. (In that process he found Fire by stepping on him.)
In the kitchen Thatz was gorging out on food. "Demon! Demon! Demon!" Rath chanted. Thatz wasn't interested and gave him a wave of the hand. Rath changed his strategy. "Treasure! Treasure! Treasure!"
This mad Thatz jump up and yell, "Let's go!" and ran out the door at the speed of light, but soon came back as he realized that he did not know where they were going. "So...uh...where are we going?"
"We have to follow Kai-Stern, but first..." and they smiled wickedly at each other.

Rune was sitting lazily in the sun let in by the window in his room. He was actually enjoying the quiet and trying to meditate. The birds were chirping, the sky was blue, and the world was green. He was certainly at peace until a loud crash announced the advent of two scheming idiots. Rune ignored them and attempted to return to his meditation.
He could feel Thatz come up to his ear and yelled, "RUNE!" Rune pretended not to hear. His experience with this even kept him from flinching.
He felt something poke his arm. "Well," Rath began, "at least he won't know we kicked down his door for a while." Rune still did nothing. "Maybe we should cut his hair."
Rune felt the sharp, but gentle blade of a sword brush his back and with panic jumped up. "What do you think you are doing?" He yelled. He turned around and nearly fainted. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY DOOR?" The door was knocked straight forward off its hinges.
"Come on Rune," said Rath, "there's a demon and we haf-"
"And Treasure!" Thatz interrupted.
"We hafta follow Kai-Stern."
"Why?" Rune asked as he walked to the window.
"Well," Rath paused, "DEMON HUNTING!"
Rune laughed, "Well it looks like it's too late." He pointed out the window and they saw Kai-Stern leaving the gates. Rath grabbed one of Rune's shoulders and Thatz the other as they charged at full speed out the door, dragging Rune half on the ground.
