She sat there chatting with her lunch table, everyone sitting with her was
very pretty, especially her. She could achieve a level of beauty that shone
brightly, without even trying. Today she was wearing a pair of white
capris, a sheer pink shirt over a white cami, and a unzipped velvet black
jacket. She was laughing happily with her friends, brown hair flowing
around her perfectly sculpted shoulders. She stood up to get in the lunch
line, he had been her friend once, now she had new friends, and he could
only admire from a distance. He stood up to follow her.
"Watcha doin Matt," his best friend Tai asked cocking one eyebrow in the air.
"Just getting some pizza," Matt said in a distant voice.
As he walked after Mimi he saw Jade and her friends whispering, she had a huge crush on him, and although she was pretty she didn't have Mimi's personality.
"Hi Matt," Jade said running up to him.
"Oh," Matt said in a forced voice, "Hi Jade."
Her pale skin blushed and she anxiously brushed her short blond hair behind her ears.
"Are you busy this weekend," Jade asked anxiously.
"Actually," Matt lied, "I am, me and Tai were gonna have a guys night out."
"Oh," Jade said in a disappointed voice, "See ya around then."
She walked off to her table to join the group of giggling girls, looking slightly rejected. Mimi was heading back to her table, as soon as she saw him she walked up to him. Even though his heart was beating at the speed of light and he was sweating, he managed to look cool and in control.
"Hey," Mimi said happily.
"Hi," Matt said in a choked voice.
At that moment Mimi walked back to join her group of popular cheerleaders. Matt didn't know much about Mimi, except that she was a full out good girl. She dressed like a good girl, talked like a good girl, and acted like a good girl. But it was that that made her so alluring. Upon reaching Tai his breathing had returned to normal.
"Matt," Tai said, "Want to go to this party this weekend."
"What party," Matt asked.
"It's a high school party," Tai said happily, "You know Jenna."
How could he forget, Jenna was Tai's flirty, annoying, plastic, high school girlfriend.
"Well she invited me and a friend to her party this weekend," Tai said, "And immediately your name popped into my head."
"Sure," Matt said.
Tai smiled; little did Matt know that this party would change all his relationships forever.

"I'm gonna go say hi," Tai said.
Matt followed like an obedient best friend, but when Tai tapped her on the shoulder the face that met his eyes was Mimi.
